Merry Christmas! I'm a little late to the party, but I dreamed of my beloved ladies Leah and Eva having a beautiful wedding on Christmas Day in front of the Christmas Tree. Let's pretend it's still Christmas, shall we? I am so happy that Leah and Eva are finally getting married! They have known each other for years. I've had Eva's wedding gown since 2017. It was from CrystalBJD on Etsy. It was totally, totally amazing. The only change I made was that I used the veil from an old Dollfie Dream wedding gown from 2010. I was just feeling that one more. Leah's wedding gown journey was more difficult. I originally got a wedding gown from Dollmore in 2009 or 2010, but I didn't like it so much. I thought about getting a suit for her, but that didn't pan out. I eventually got the Iplehouse SID Pure Lace set a year or two ago. I like it on Leah, but it was challenging. It's a bit large for Leah's Dollmore Model Doll body, which is fine, but what I wasn't counting on was that the gown is more of a wrap that doesn't securely fasten anywhere. Leah was popping out towards the end of my photoshoot, and it was a real pain in my pasty Irish... never mind. I don't know if it would've been more or less secure on Eva's large bust SID body. In any case, I positioned my ladies to hide any deficiencies there might be. I finally propped up Eva on an old Disney Cinderella VHS tape in the old Disney big case for the kissing shot. It was romantically appropriate. This wedding scene may be a bit basic. I was thinking about doing a whole big thing, but I ultimately decided to keep it simple, romantic, affectionate, and intimate in order to capture the essence of their union. I really, really wanted their wedding to be on Christmas no matter what, so I think the tree helps spruce things up enough. I am looking forward to exploring Leah and Eva's future together! This is only the beginning of their new life! All red Xes are clickable, or just view the photos in this Flickr album: Leah and Eva - Our Christmas Wedding
They look beautiful beautiful beautiful congratulations to the newlywed couple! And for you in getting to play the big day out with them like you wanted. I daresay that wedding dress mishaps and makeshift fixes are a common part of many weddings. I absolutely love Leah's gown and it looks gorgeous in your photos even if it was tricky on her. The bouquets are so nice too. Happy new year to you, Eva, Leah and the whole gang
Thank you so much, Alison I'm flattered Oh yeah? I haven't been involved with enough weddings to know, I guess Well, it would've been a lot easier if the thing just fastened somehow. I was not expecting it to be like that. I did do a quick test fit last year or whenever to make sure fitment wouldn't have been totally off, so it's not like I wasn't expecting some challenge, but I didn't even think about fastening it back then. What a Christmas surprise Happy new year to you and your gang, too! Many blessings in 2026!!!
Maybe you could learn how to hand sew snaps or hooks on things for emergencies! Might be a satisfying new year's goal! It's definitely a shame when a beautiful piece of clothing is annoying or imperfect like that.
You can do it, Gamma Ray! Alison has set a nice New Years goal for you, hehe. You clearly put a lot of care into choosing their dresses, and they are both gorgeous! Something about Eva's eyes -she is always very intimate. Sweet photos, and your storytelling very enjoyable to read. (I also enjoyed checking out your Christmas tree ornaments, hehe.)
@AlisonVonderland I agree, that would be a great skill to have. The wedding gown was annoying, but I'm glad with how things turned out. Plus, it's all behind me now @Valdemagra Thank you so much I'm glad you think so highly of my storytelling and everything. I will need to continue working on that. I think that would be more of a realistic new year's resolution Leah's old sueding has done. I really, really need to redo her neck in particular. We'll see about the sewing stuff. I really should learn it, what with me being in this hobby. Eva always makes my heart melt I may bring her wedding gown back in June just to take some additional photos of her wearing it. I love her eyes, too. The way her eyes look with the bangs, it always makes me feel so warm to look at her Thank you about my Christmas tree ornaments, too! I have some photos of my tree this year here if you want to see more: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjCEUQJ
Thank you, @lavenderbear and @saraquill lavenderbear, their dresses are so wonderful Even if Leah's was a challenge It can't always be easy, but they worked through it, and that's love Yeah, there's that height difference. They are beautiful ladies in their own right. Leah's extremely tall Dollmore Model Doll body is outstanding. It's a challenge, but the results are rewarding. Sara, they've been planning their wedding since Valentine's Day I didn't do much buildup after they proposed to each other, but I knew I wanted them to get married on Christmas. I'm more looking forward to exploring their married life together now. I've explored their lives as girlfriends for over 10 years. Such wonderful times
Such beautiful dresses! They look wonderful! Congrats on their wedding! They are perfect for each other.
Thank you! I love the dresses! Even if the Iplehouse one ended up being a bit of a chore to use. I'm glad I had Leah on the right side.
The dresses and setting are so lovely!! Definitely worth the hard work!! Congrats to the newly weds, they look great together ^u^
Thank you! It wasn't one of the more difficult shoots I've ever done, but it took some work to get everything the way I wanted it. Leah did not want to keep her dress on But I'm happy, and now my ladies are happily married
What beautiful gowns, both ladies look amazing. Congrats to the happy couple so glad the wedding went off so well and the backdrop is perfect.
