Orientdoll So

May 13, 2009

    1. Thank you so much, Clochette:D I appreciate your input so much! I was afraid this would be the case. I have had a very hard time finding anyone with feet small enough for those kinds of shoes. I actually don't have a single tiny right now who can wear any of them:XD: I think I'll have to make one myself.

    2. Been kinda wishing for a friend for my Orientdoll. So, I thought I'd bump this up and see if there are still some floating around out there. Here are a couple pictures of Opaline.

    3. I have a Dong vamp named Ding. He doesn't get enough attention because he needs tightened, and I tried once already... :(
He also needs a decent wig. I got one in the right size, but needs a haircut.
I've had him for a while now, but recently decided to try and tend to his needs and get some pictures.

    4. It's a good idea to bump the Orient Doll thread AGAIN!
We only talk about "Pukipukis" :fangirl::gingerbreadman.I shall try to post a pic soon.

    5. Here's my Kenya :D

    6. Clochette,Kenya is wonderful!
I like his tan skin.Lucky you!Thank you to make me dream again.

    7. I completely missed out on the chocolate SOs. Money and time never came together correctly for me. Still, so glad to see one around! Such a pretty color, and I really like the tattoos you did!

    8. I really should have gotten two when they were still for sale. I saw some heads in the marketplace but they need bodies too =) I restrung my girl and it was a bit of a chore.

    9. Yeah, restringing these guys is no treat, but that's pretty typical for tinys. Thanks for the comments on Kenya :D I'm really happy with how she turned out.

Here's my Cloudee with her older sister Pidgeon :D

    10. Yay, another thread for me to join in - I have just adopted a SO Ui to be a little friend to my Pukipukis and live in their doll house...going to recycle a name I had for another doll, so she will be Pippin

    11. Glad to see that OD So is not forgotten.
      I want to see yours.

      An old pic of mine.
      Sun,Ye and Moon(Dong).

    12. Aww, cuties. I should get mine in about a week. She just came up for sale on a local facebook sales group and I thought she would be a perfect travel companion

    13. They travel very well, actually :D

Here's a couple of the OD gals at WDW with Fee :D
      [IMG]

    14. Cute, out enjoying the sunshine!

    15. Oh so jealous! I never see them in the marketplace, I keep looking for more.
Here are my three (vampire ye, and sun)

    16. YAY! So glad to see these guys coming up again! They ARE very portable!

Here's Ding, my Dong. lol He just got a guitar last month. I think I've given up on finding a wig we like.

    17. aernath, wow, where did you get such cool small-irised eyes for Ding?

I empathize on the wig matter... my Dong, Garlyth, can barely keep his wig on his teeny noggin; I may have to glue it!

Here's an old pic of Garlyth, my little nature boy --

He makes it so easy for me; I don't have to have to worry about clothes for him, just the wig

    18. Yeah, I haven't really found any wigs that actually fit. Even the Leeke PF-size wigs (that they used to show on OrientDolls) are too big. My boy just has a piece of fur I saw a few darts in and glued on.

    19. Oh dear, well I am hoping can make a pukipuki or realpuki wig fit...

    20. beamlette - It's been a while, but I think I just got lucky in the marketplace. I thiiiiink they're 5mm or even 4mm. Not sure.
I love your little Naturalist going au natural! :XD: My poor guy is stuck in this one single outfit forever. Maybe I should try out his birthday suit... ;)

Bluemoonjules - please let us know how it goes! There might be a quick run on those sizes if they work! ~_^

    21. I certainly will. I have a few wigs I can try out. I am going to want to change the eyes as well, I.am sure. You could try securing the wig with a Macks silicone earplug...

Here she is, meet Pippin - I changed 6mm eyes for the 8mm...

She seems to be asking PukiPuki Mim, 'Is this hair too much?'

      Realpuki wigs seem to fit.

    22. Just bumping as this gets lost easily

    23. Wow, that's a lot of hair! :XD: It looks good on her, but my boy is hoping to find something a little more boy-ish and short.
I'll have to take a look through the Realpuki wigs that I can find. Thanks!

    24. Bluemoonjules,your girls are adorable.

    25. Monique RD4 wigs fit. Many of my OD girls wear them. Here's Glymmer (So Ji) in an RD4 Penny

    26. That's cute! I have now braided her hair and it looks better. Will take a pic later. Very pleased with my little adoptee.

    27. Well the too-big wig has gone, and I found a Mudoll Brownie wig that fits well

    28. Bluemoomjules I like her new wig, it looks great!

here is a picture of my little boy. He doesn't get a lot of play time. I need more boy stuff :)

    29. How cute is he!!!!

    30. So, I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know what to use to string the dolls with? These kiddos haven't had new elastic since before I bought them secondhand in 2011. To me it kinda looks like their current stringing is fishing wire, which isn't possible since it should be elastic.
      Pic for attention[IMG]

    31. @konzenkoryuu, it could be the clear bead-stringing elastic like you use to make bracelets, which comes in different thicknesses. :)

    32. Oh, good thought! I'll have to look around for some. Definitely not looking forward to the tiny restringing process though xD

    33. Oh yes, I don't blame you, @konzenkoryuu! I feel the same way about my Elfdoll Monaeme sisters :sweat*_*

    34. For most tinys I use 1mm elastic covered elastic cord (like this https://www.amazon.com/XKDOUS-Elast...=thin+elastic+cord&qid=1692712891&sr=8-8&th=1) because I have broken too many bracelets strung with the clear elastic.

Tinys are a pain to string for sure Elfdolls are bad, but the worst I've ever tackled were the Ssin tinys (Umgi) because the loop inset into their hands/feet were so shallow you couldn't get anything through there thicker than thread. Orientdolls do have an S hook at the neck, which helps....not all of the older tinys do.

    35. Do you by chance have a photo of Ssin Umgi 1?

    36. Unfortunately no, she didn't belong to me, I was restringing for a friend. You can see some pictures on their old website: 구체관절 아이조아

    37. Sadly it's not there, that's the new Umgi 2 not Umgi 1

    38. They look sooooo cute on your computer, like little fairies. I am dying and praying that Leekeworld sells all 6 Orientdoll-So again!!!!!!

    39. I used thin elastic I had lying around for my new (to me!) boy I just got yesterday. I understand why he was wired, omg. But wow I just love these little guys and plan to scoop up another maybe soon??? I’ll post a photo soon, my phone doesn’t seem to let me copy bb code… *_*
