Wearables Opinions?

    1. My mother and I are scavengers - whenever we see a unique piece of fabric, we snatch it up and know we'll use it someday. Not long ago, she discovered a black skirt (?) with sheer frillies at the end. I saw doll skirts.

      However, I', not sure whether it would look better with or without the waistband.

      PLEASE ignore the crazy not fitting right-ness - it's only safety pinned. When sewn, it will fit better.

      It can be worn up high or down low (though on Arilla it's a little hard to get it to stay low, because of her HUGE butt >> )

    2. Personally I'd go with the waistband, but make it narrower to be in proprtion. About half of what you show.
      I love fabric! You know whoever dies with the most wins!!

If you make it without the wider waistband/yoke, I would imagine the skirt would have to worn over any top; the fullness of the skirt would look bulky under alot of tops, unless they were full also. If you make it with the waistband/yoke, any top will lay nicely over it. You could still wear it over a top, but it would have a different effect than the skirt without the band. So it's really how you want it to be worn!

    5. The waist band is pretty much as narrow as it gets, the way I'm making it (I'm flipping it over the original hem - to make it narrower, I'd have to redo that hem).

      With the waistband it is, then. I'll update with new pics when I finish them =3 I'll probably get four out of it.
