Hi, I'm new here. I'd like to share a picture of my Only Doll Hong Xiu, whose name is Julie. She unfortunately lost one of her eyelashes during this photo shoot, but we had fun. (I'm sorry, I don't know how to make the picture larger - I know the problem is between my computer & my Flickr account.)

FayFL, your Hongxiu looks so cute! Ever since I got mine it's been my favorite face sculpt. And I love the wig you got her.

Also, Onyx's new faceup is adorable, I like the white dots on her cheeks. (If you want something constructive, her lips seem a bit lopsided, but that's easy to fix.)

Onlydoll has changed their yosd body, they have a new one now....has anyone got the new body and compare it with the old one???

 

I second this! I only have the old bodies, but if we find nobody with both versions we can always do organized coordinated long distance comparing of the posing.

And thank you cewie, I'm glad the Hongxius are becoming more popular than they were, mine was lonely for a while. I saw the pictures of yours Ex darling, a beautiful thing you did with her.

 

I don't know anyone with one yet but I believe that Cazzie's YouHe is coming on the newest body.

 

Nope my YouHe has the older body ^w^ I don't like how the newer joints look >.<

I love that pink wig on Onyx so much x I would get one but I prefer natural colours on my girls I really miss my YouHe and might buy another one day unless I ... get mine back ;~; I still think people need more OD's x

thank you) yes, this is my new girl, recently arrived.

 

Remember Luna? I bought her from DrifloonCazzie, and now she lives in Iceland with me and is named Alrune. Her faceup had chipped in numerous places when I got her, but that was a-okay because her character was always supposed to be scarred.

I'm very happy with her, I think this will be her forever home.

 

Such an adventure this baby has gone through! From Lunette (her name when Cazz was waiting,) to Luna, then Alice (when I had her) now Alrune! The names are pretty similar too c: I like the way you've covered the scratches~ Hey, I hope you're alright with her torso joint. It occurred to me after I gave her back to Cazzie that I didn't put the dome back in. If you want it I can send it to you. Oh... I was wondering why she could bend her back easier than my other ones o.O Then I looked into my other ones, and they had these domes! Weird.

I don't think I'm sure whether she needs the domes, she seems to pose easier without them...

 

I don't keep the domes in, though it can mean they flop around a bit more they can slouch, so I like it better xD

Ehhh I'm really struggling with Onyx atm guys :c I've given her so many faceups and liked none of them, I might offer her to a friend, or go at her character from a different place.

However, Cody continues to pull at my heart and make me feel terrible about not having a body for him... *sigh*

Hey guys, had a few questions about these dolls. Can they wear yo-sd shoes/clothes?

 

I haven't tried it yet as I have never bought YoSD clothing (though I did buy my YouHe second hand and got a lovely dress with her), but my friends have mentioned that they are pretty bulky considering they're modern Yo sized, almost as bulky as the Volks YoSDs. I checked the measurements for both and it seems the Only-Doll ver I body is half a centimeter taller than the Volks, and it seems to be only slight differences (like the chest being one cm wider in circumference, and the waist half a cm thinner). The feet seem roughly the same size though, so shoes should be good.

(This is a pretty late answer, so sorry about that)

Edit: Forgot to mention that there's a Ver II body, which I have no experience of. It does not have the same measurements as the old body though, according to the Alice's Collections site.

 

I actually thought the V1 body is quite skinny O:
I had your YouHe briefly before you xD and she's on the V2 body. The V2 body is really bulky.
