A thing I've been thinking about lately. For those of you doll photographers, do you like doing themed photoshoots? If so, do you take a doll's character or the setting of their story into consideration when doing them? For example, if your doll's story takes place in modern times, do you still take photos of them with a Victorian theme? What about themes that don't have a specific time period, like a zodiac signs theme, flowers, or reproducing existing works of art? Basically, do you pick themes based on your character's story, or just whatever theme attracts you? Things to consider: - A doll's personality and the setting of their story are two separate things. - There's obviously no right answer to this, everyone's allowed to do whatever they want with their dolls, this is just me curious about how other people feel about it. - The examples above are just to illustrate what I mean by themes, so by all means mention your own favorite ones! - If there's already a topic like this, please feel free to delete/merge this one, mods! - Alternatively, if this is the wrong place, please move it! I posted here because it's a photography related discussion but if there's a better subforum... - Lastly, I hope this isn't considered off topic! I realize talking about just the characters rather than the dolls is not allowed but since this is about defining themes for photographing the dolls I hope it's alright! If not, I'm sorry and please remove the thread!
