Aesthetics Old Faceup vs. New Faceup

Oct 19, 2016

    1. Here's my 3rd face up! I didn't like how heavy the blushing was over the center of her face, it seemed way too unnatural!

And here's my fourth faceup! I tried to keep the blushing a bit more realistic. I like how the bags under her eyes turned out, but I still feel like I used too much red on the eyelid. It looks more like eye shadow than red puffy eyes haha.

Any advice on how to make fuller looking eye brows would be very helpful! My eyebrows always end up looking a bit sparse :o

Any constructive criticism would be very appreciated :D

    2. Hey,

I've been working on eye brows as well so I totally understand where your coming from.
What I've found is sketching out different eyebrow types till I got the look I wanted with a pencil on regular paper helped me plan more eyebrow hairs Per-say but then I made sure to do a pastel layer to lay out the brows, then did the lines, then a little more pastel color on top. That helped a lot.

Your Face-up's have a ton of potential I think, It's hard to give a good critique cause I'm not entirely sure of the look you want to achieve but it could be fun to play with dimension in the eyelids using a darker tone on the outer edges and a lighter tone on the inner edges, since she has a lot of eyelid space. This also might help take away from the red puffy eyes.

      Hope this helps,
      :)

    3. Ah, okay! See i only do pastel and then watercolor pencil! I didn't think to do pastel on top of the pencil as well.

Aw, thank you <3! I'm not sure what look I want to achieve either, I'm still trying to find my face-up style I guess. Oh yes! I want to try to move away from reds, and try more natural looks I think. maybe less dramatic. Thank you so much for the advice! I appreciate it :D

    4. Awwe No problem! We all gotta lift each other up!

I'd definitely stick to pinks, peach, and browns then. :)
