Jul 10, 2013

    1. This was my first attempt at tattooing a BJD. (: Do tell me what you think!

    2. I really love the blue! I always enjoy seeing a tattoo in a color other than black. (I may be biased by my own blue-ink tattoo. Subtle cough)

You may want to go over the lines again to really make them pop, right now they seem soft (and a teensy unsteady) to me. I really like how it appears to be hugging her, as well!

Overall I really like it! The question is - are you happy with it? :D

    3. very cool. this would be a sick idea on a person too

    4. wowies! Love the colour you used and how the tattoo wraps around the neck. :D

    5. I love octopus ! :D

    6. I love octopus and I think this looks awesome :) I have a painting of an octopus (the background is melted crayons) and I keep constantly playing with it to make it more 'real' lol

So I say if you feel like it needs something else do it :) but as is, it looks awesome!

    7. WOAH!!! Octopi fan here!!

This is great! I love the colors! Beautiful blending too!

Only crit I would have would be similar to @TennaD's. Except maybeee strengthen the areas where two lines meet with a slightly darker blue color? I think this would really make the tattoo pop! ;D

      Great work!

    8. That looks stunning! Love the blue you used and the way that the octopus wraps around her.

    9. Wowzers it's stunning & I love the colour......well done.....thanks for sharing :D

    10. It's wonderful ! You did a really good job, I like the colors, design and placement. Octopus is awesome~

    11. it's absolutely lovely! agree with everyone above about very clever choice of placement combined with a nice complimentary but simple color blend.

    12. Ah awesome :) I love the wrap around tenticals and the octopus' eyes they way they pop out he's cute! Really works with your doll I can get a sense of her characer with the tattoo. I definantly want to do a tattoo in the future.

    13. It's amazing!
Was it done in watercolors and pastels?
You did a fantastic job, and I'd never have thought it was your first!

    14. I like that the lines are soft; it adds to the feel of it. It's really epic for a first attempt!

    15. WOW! I love octopus. I like the colors and style.

    16. I love it!! It's so stunning!

    17. I absolutely LOVE the blue!! It really pops!
and the way the tentacles wrap around her, looks so majestic~

    18. This looks fantastic! I like the soft look, it makes it seem like an older tattoo, and maybe not so fresh. If you're going for new tattoo look though, you should darken the edges a bit, as tattoos tend to fade the older they are. But personally, I like it a lot!

    19. It's amazing <3

    20. As others already said, making the lines cleaner, bolder would make this awesome tat totally POP! It's beautiful, the placement, the curves... and especially the colour! I think it suits your doll so well!

    21. great first try!

i feel like the octopuses proportions are a bit off? and the lines could be a little smother

over all it's pretty good! all you need is a bit more practice and more confident strokes!

i don't think there is anything wrong with how you coloured it and you didn't make any big mistakes just a matter of practice

    22. It's very, very beautiful! You are so creative!!! Congrats!!! :)

    23. That is amazing! I love the overall design you chose and the colors ohmygosh. I would totally put that thing on my body for real

    24. I love it! :D The color you used is awesome and blends together well. Also, it's so creative to have the tattoo wraps around the neck, arm, and side of the body.

    25. I love the concept and execution if I had made it I'd be proud of it.:sumomo:
