I agree that a blonde or light brown wig would be better. I think most dolls look most natural when the wig compliments the color of the eyebrows. Of course, I do like fantasy colors too!

 

Would I be right in guessing Meggilu did her faceup?

Guys i getting lingglan but one questions puzzle me. any difference between the default faceup and sarina faceup?

 

Do I understand correctly that Oasis new IT girl body’s high heel feet fit Volks brand SD16 girl shoes/boots as well as other brands of shoes/boots specifically made to fit Volks SD16 high heel feet?

If so, can this body really stand unassisted (free stand) wearing such shoes?

Are your girl’s killer heels these ones?

I have really wanted a shorter girl with high heel feet to wear SD16 shoes.

The IT girl body proportioning is very pleasing and I like Naomi’s face sculpt too.

 

@sagara314: The default faceup right now is done by an artist called "putma" and she uses a color pallet and style similar to how Naomi's faceup was done in the promos i think. And Sarina's faceup is an additional option that costs more than the default price. My linglan has it, and i think it is more feminine. Also, the faceup in the promo pictures of linglan and the old girls were done by another faceup artist that no longer does faceups for oasisdoll. Hope this helps!

@passionasfashion: Yup! I own an SD16 girl too and the it-girl can wear all her shoes and even share most clothes. They're easier to handle since they are a little shorter and lighter :3

 

Burpieez – Thanks for your reply. Being lighter weight and easier to handle would be super for my aged hands.

It is encouraging to know that V SD16 shoes and clothes will fit the IT girl feet but can she stand stably in the shoes?

@passion: My It-girl was able to stand stable by herself in all SD16 shoes i tried on her. The arch is basically the same :3 They come with normal feet and legs too with an ankle joint, so you can always switch legs if she can't stand by herself in the heels. The only time i ever had to do that was with SD16 leekeworld heels.

@sagara: I think Sarina does better faceup than putma, but I'm not sure if that option is available all the time. Oasisdolls look amazing with custom faceups, so i think it' better to buy her blank, and send her to a faceup artist you love. I'm actually sending out my Linglan for a new faceup, because its more suited for black wigs, and i mostly have brown toned wigs.

Luria, thank you for posting those comparison photos. The difference between the two bodies seems less great in your photos than in the Oasis blog photos. I find myself liking the It girl more than I thought I would. Too bad about the high heel legs though, I know some people like the clean line, but I much prefer separate high heel feet for the sake of more posing options (and I think the Chic girl legs still have a lovely line). Do the Chic girl high heel feet fit on the It girl regular legs?

 

Those outfits and shoes are to die for.

Is there a trick to putting on the high-heel legs of the It Girl Body without having to restring my whole doll? TIA!!!

 

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but what size clothes can these girls wear? I have an Oasisdoll on layaway but I have no idea where I can buy clothes for them.

 

Eikos82 The Chic Girls can wear SD16--not sure about pants though. They are close in measurement to Iplehouse SID girls--the pants my be a bit loose but everything else should work. And that's all I know for sure. I'm making clothes for my girls--albeit very slowly.

 

I haven't been on DOA in quite a while, so I'm very behind on things.

Is Yaoyue currently unavailable? If so, are there plans to bring her back in the future? She's one of my favorite girl headmolds, but I seem to be doomed to want dolls that get discontinued!

 

Eiko82: Chic girls wear SD16, even in pants. I have a pair of SD16 Nine9Style jeans and they fit my Jadeite fine (albeit a little tight).

ITgirls are on the chubbier side of SD13 I suspect; the original bodies are on the thinner side.

 

and what about Jadeite ? Is it possible to order her ? pls

 

kapiszonka---Jadeite is a limited as are Jessie and Sacha, I think all the Chic Girls are. Sacha is the latest one--not sure if there are any of her left to order.

 

Can the Chic girls wear high heel SD16 shoes? I want to get some from Dollheart for my Sacha on layaway.

Ah! Also, how do SD or SD13 boy clothes fit? I have never handled an SD16, so I am not sure how the sizes compare.

 

Louiselle--Yes, they wear SD16 shoes perfectly. Mine love the Tata's Paradise shoes. I have no idea about the SD16 boy clothes--my girls are very girly

Congrats to all who are going to the meetup! I wish I could come too, but Texas is a little far. Sarina is definitely my favorite artist and so far I've managed to acquire Jayde, Sacha (incoming) and a body for my Eldfoll June. If she should ever offer a tan girl...I'll have to have her too.

The small BJD looks very interesting--I wonder why she chose porcelain? It won't change color, but it is more fragile.

Yes, porcelain - fragile material, but I would not have refused to settle at the porcelain girl from Sarina)) but even if it is made &#8203;&#8203;of polyurethane, to me this project is very interesting. Maybe share with us what some plans for it?

My Sasha came yesterday--what a surprise! I forgot to check my other email account and didn't know she was on her way--when I got home from art class--there she was I won't have time to give her a faceup until January, but I'm so happy just knowing she's here.
