Oh, no, Brioche! Brioche was looking for an easy snack, but Babara bird turned the tables on her, much to Brioche's displeasure.
Such a cute Brioche as always (with special guest appearance from Babara). I just noticed that the butter and pepper skin Brioches are back in stock! It's sooo tempting, but I think I'll hold out for Mini Brioche.
OMG Smart bird !!!! could i share your pics ins facebook Group 'nympheas dolls lover' i love this photo 0_0
Yeees i cant wait to share pics of the 'mini' i'm not sure for the skin right now, natural colors i guess not fantasy this time ^^
Thank you, k6doll! Yes, please go ahead and share my pics on your group - I'd be delighted! Thank you, again!
I'm looking forward to seeing your mini Brioche, too - can't wait! I'd absolutely love one in your sweet candy color, which would look so pretty with my Mint Brioche, but I understand your desire for natural colors. Perhaps a white or cream white (like your first Brioche)? That would look nice with mint, too.
I love fantasy color bur people prefer natural so, to give him more chances i try to introduce him in natural i will receive some sample in Cream coffee, snow, pepper and Milk chocolate then i have to choose one color
Hey, does anyone have any Squirrels they can post photos of? I just ordered one and I am trying to figure out what kind of clothes and shoes to get
Hi sweetie, you could find the nympheas dolls lovers group on facebook too Log into Facebook | Facebook
Congratulations, @SugarFirefly! I have Mialypso, too, and totally agree - she's a super adorable cat, indeed! I got mine with the factory face-up, but haven't had enough time to take pics of her yet. Hope to do so soon.
She is very patient and kind and understanding. I actually have a tan kalahari named kintsugi and she was easy to work with especially when it came to getting a custom face for her. Now shes working with me to get a custom skin mushika . I think so too. Yeah once you start you might not be able to stop. I just got my tan kalahari with custom faceup not too long ago and now Im getting a mushika because i loved her so much .I have been eyeballing a few of her dolls ,These were 2 of them. Pretty much I was cyber stalking them debating on whether to buy. Im so glad i finally just went and grabbed the last kalahari but mad i let the last squirrel and mushika get grabbed up before I could. But thats ok because even better im getting a custom skin mushika. I think at this point i may even make my next one a squirel. I guess well see lol. I love my tan kalahari . Who knows I actually really like the eyes that were sent with my kalahari. Ill still buy some because i have a vision for her and I have a few things i need to make or add for her too . Before shes completed. I actually added her on here and i have pictures on instagram of her. But shes not done and is wearing a temporary wig and dress. Ill have to figure out how to add a picture to this thread . im still new to posting on here and threads. me too! Super cute ✌ I love the wig on her .Great choice. She is cute. I like the faceup too. Clothes im not sure about. I have a kalahari and blythe dresses fit her but i dont know how or what ill do about this bootylicious babe cuz she's got a bum bum. Im sure azone might fit mine as well but maybe monster high or something more slender may fit yours. Im not really sure though because I dont know how big she is ill have to look. Oh wow super cute picture
There are two threads for Nympheas Dolls so I wasn't sure where to post. This looks like the original thread, so here I am. I ordered Pin-Up Squirrel (open eye) last night in real tan with large bust/short torso. I saw her photos on the website and it was love at first sight! So cute! Now I have to plan a look for her, beginning with her face-up. At least I have a few months to think about what I want to do. Has anyone else ordered a Pin-up? Or plan to?
Yeah actually I was the first. She let me do a custom mushika order and was suppose to add it to the mini squirrel orders but then next thing you know she just opened up the pin ups. So thats cool , I think its nice shes made them all avaible with which ever body , color or even extra face plates you could want. I already own the natural tan kalahari ,so this time I ordered a fair mushika . I think youll love the skin color and the body option was probably the best choice since her head is slightly larger then the other 2 heads .All the other colors are lovely but I have some plans in mind for my girl but wasnt sure about the cream. This is actually the first time shes released the fair skin . I hope you love your doll . I loved my kalahari so much that she was the reason I asked about mushika and I think why she opened this sale . The real tan kind of reminds me of a lighter version of coffee icecream . if you know what coffee icecream looks like. Oh yeah, i havent added many doll profiles yet but I have one of my Kalahari/Kintsugi doll up. Although she look carmel or darker in the pictures most of thats lighting or the extreme freckles she has making her skin look darker.
@Miss Hokusai - Congrats on ordering Mushika. I considered getting her, but in the end it was Squirrel hopping up and down saying "Pick me! Pick me!" that swayed me. If you're talking about real coffee ice cream and not a resin color called coffee ice cream, I have some in the freezer and like how it looks, so I should be very happy with the real tan. I haven't added any doll profiles. Too many dolls...I can't decide which ones to post. I'll look for your Kalahari photo. Did you know you can combine your three comments? Just open one, click Edit, then copy and paste the other two into it.
Im still getting the hang of den of angels .Thanks for the information, im actually still struggling to add pictures in threads like this. But to be honest it might be because im on a mobile I think. Yes, I mean like the icecream. Its like a pale version of that or at least in my opinion. I like it and thank you!
I am working on a lay away for a Squirrel Dreaming, in Real Tan I think. About half way through now! I wanted Squirrel from the first release of her, but I don't really collect girls, just boys. So I thought hard about her, and missed the first preorder. So glad I got this chance to get her again! I regretted missing out on her, and always liked seeing the pictures of her, and the special release of one offs. Knew I had to have her the next opportunity. =)
Shipping notice! My open eye real tan Squirrel is on her way and I have absolutely nothing put aside for her to wear. I'll have to play it by ear when she gets here. Hopefully some of my Iple BID stuff will fit her.
Congratulations! Just made my last payment for mine! Hopefully not long now! No idea what she'll wear...
Congrats to you, too, @aernath! If you're not waiting for a face-up I'd imagine she'll be on her way in the next few days. My package left France today. I think I'm more worried about shoes than clothes. I can always crochet something to fit. Shoes, on the other hand, are a different story. I already have two small girls sharing boots that don't really fit either of them. With my luck Squirrel will be the Cinderella who's a perfect fit.
I think I did spring for a factory faceup, so a little bit longer then. =) Shoes, that magical, difficult thing...mine will likely go barefoot for quite a while.
My girl seems to be taking an inordinate amount of time to travel. She left France on Saturday afternoon; there has been no update since and here it is Wednesday already. Should I worry yet? I guess not. Her plane landed late last night, she cleared customs and 4 minutes later was at the distribution center near the airport. Delivery is estimated for tomorrow.
Hahaha! Congratulations! I think mine just tried to be delivered today. Something tried to be delivered from France (got a slip), and I thought it was for my husband. But he didn't buy anything from France. Theeeeeen, I remembered Squirrel Dreaming! YAY! So, hopefully tomorrow I can get from work to the post office in time before they close.
Squirrel is out for delivery! Unfortunately, I won't be doing her faceup anytime soon. That killer heat wave is headed our way and already it's so humid I'm dripping wet just sitting still. Ugh. Hope you can ransom your Squirrel Dreaming today, @aernath. When I was still working I would occasionally ask to leave the office early, just to make sure I could get home before the PO closed. The things we do for dolls, right? Squirrel arrived a few hours ago. The Real Tan is a lovely color, paler than expected but that's okay with me. I wish I could paint her but I'll have to wait for cooler, drier temps. As it is I'm sticking to everything. After over an hour of trying on clothing, I finally have her in a LittleFee size outfit (actually from Bambicrony). All my YoSD size shoes are a little big but most fit with socks. I also had trouble finding a wig that fits. The best fit had long heavy hair that didn't really work. I could cut it, I suppose; I just don't know if I want to in case another doll needs it. I think instead of 6-7 she needs a size 6. She's wearing a 6-7 temporarily with a silicone wig cap.
Oooh! All good information, thanks! I did get her yesterday after work. We had our monthly get-off-work-30minutes-early day, so it worked out perfectly. Man, I about had a heart attack though when they brought me her box! It was absolutely crushed!! I made sure to open it there, and thankfully all little perfect fingers were still intact. Whew! I'm trying to get Flickr to upload a picture, any picture I have taken of her, but no luck. I suspect the photos are too big? Used to be easy to just send pix from my phone right to Flickr, but lately it's more like pulling teeth! Aargh! I did get the factory faceup, and it's fine, except for the eyelashes. They're clunky and going to go. Or at least trimmed. Or fail-trimmed and then tossed. lol I like how well she poses! She's going to have to be naked while I find or make her some clothes.
Congrats @aernath! Funny thing about the box--mine was crushed, too. And I'm still wondering why the inside of her bag had lots of loose star-shaped sequins. I was having trouble posing her and found one of the stars peeking out from between two joints! Also wondering about the little white ghost thingy. Did you get one? It wobbles like jelly, looks like it might be edible but doesn't appear to be. I've found candy in one or two Korean boxes so I taste-tested it. Not candy. What is it? I didn't take a photo or I would show it here. Here's my girl, nameless until I get her painted. She came with eyes but I'm waiting until she's painted to put them in. Her 6-7 wig kept falling off even with a wig cap so I tried some 5-6. It looks like this will be the size to go with. She's wearing the Bambicrony dress for now. I'll make something when this relentless heat and humidity go away.
I really wish I could get Flickr to behave! Can't share photos until it does. So nice to see yours! Is she number one on her certificate? Mine is number 2, and is the Dreaming version, but that's not stated on my CoA. I have several 5in wigs around (FIDs and such around here) and those seem to fit her nicely. Luts and Leekeworld 5in wigs with elastic bands. ALso, did some clothes rustling and found she does okay in a pair of Dollmore Dear Doll sized jeans and hoodie. We'll scout shoes another day. Edit: Ok, the jeans are actually a little short, but not bad in a pinch. And I yanked her eyelashes. Wow. Then saw her in better lighting conditions and wow. She needs a better faceup. Currently she looks cold or like she has a cold. lol Lots of blushing on her nose and cheeks. I think that's the current faceup fashion. Mine came with eyes, but you couldn't see them what with the eyelashes covering them up. Then after yanking the eyelashes, I realized they were acrylics and not a color or size I am going to want to go with. Going to go through the eye stash later too. Lol, yes, sometimes artists like to add lots of glitter! I found some on a thigh ball. :XD Yes! The jelly ....companion? Had me confused too! I consulted my husband and we decided definitely not food. lol Interesting thing. A bunny I think. I was excited at first, thinking it was a marshmallow. But it has no smell. So anyway, my guess is it's a companion.? Edit: finally got a photo to load on Flickr! NSFW. Spoiler Nympheas Squirrel Dreaming by aernath, on Flickr
@aernath - Cute! She and the cats look inscrutable together. The faceup doesn't look bad in your photo, but then I didn't try to enlarge it. My certificate might be number 1. There is a long tail in front of the downstroke, which might be the European style. On the other hand, it resembles the T in Tan but without the stroke through the middle. Can't really tell. I see you got your girl to sit cross-legged. That's the only way I could get mine to sit. My marshmallow companion has no ears, so I'm pretty sure it's not a bunny. More like a slimmed down Big Hero 6. I suspect we received different versions of it. Here's my girl sitting. Or as close as I could get her to sit. She's wearing a 6-7 Monique wig--the one that kept falling off.
My Squirrel got a faceup, an outfit, and a name. Meet Lilou. Her outfit is inspired by the French flag. Wig by Luts for Tiny Delf, shoes by Luts for Honey Delf. Faceup by me.
Wow! Lookit you go! Mine just got eyes (10mm Mehi Art), a borrowed wig (Luts 5.5-6inch TDW), and pants and top (Dollmore Dear doll). Going to have to go take a look at those Honey Delf shoes. Thanks for that tip! I was going to try and get a photo today, but got busy with other stuff. Maybe tomorrow. Yup, that's a European style 1. Yay! We got numbers 1 and 2!
That's the first time I ever got a number 1 CoA. The closest I've come before was a number 2. I don't know where Lilou's eyes came from originally. Maybe LeekeWorld, maybe Denver Doll. They're glass, they were in my stash, they fit, so I used them. The eyes that came with the doll filled the eye opening. I like to see some white so I used my own. I think they're 10mm. The Honey Delf shoes are still a little loose. You'll want socks with them. She was relatively easy to crochet for, once I took apart my first effort. Single crochet made the dress so stiff it stood up by itself. After I switched to double crochet it all came together. And because I can't resist, here's another photo:
Finally, I got a photo to share! Your Squirrel looks so sweet and innocent, mine looks so jaded for such a young girl. Francine - nympheas Squirrel Dreaming by aernath, on Flickr
@aernath - I love your Dreaming Squirrel--she has attitude in spades! So tell me, how did you get her ears to stay on? Mine only work without a wig. I assume it's because the magnets are not strong enough.
Soom usually sends extra magnets with their dolls, so I have some on hand. I stacked a couple more tiny ones up inside her head. Still too weak, so I will see about switching to slightly bigger ones since there's still room in her head.
@aernath - I have extra FairyLand and Iplehouse magnets. I'll try stacking those. Did you also stack extra magnets on the ears themselves? Even if the ears don't lie flush with head, the wig ought to hide the extra space.
I still haven't played with stacking ear magnets, but I did manage to crochet another dress for my Squirrel. I also made two wigs, both of which came out a hot mess. I need a small iron to make curls--and to straighten out sections that are supposed to lie flat. Unfortunately I can't do anything about my inability to cut bangs in a straight line. Here she is at a meet-up yesterday.
Well I think that's a mighty fine wig! Cute dress too, and the colors really suit her. I did finally play with magnets, and ended up having to pop a couple on the outside of her head, and then slip the wig over them, now the ears stick pretty well! (and I added a couple more tiny magnets inside her head first - added the ones outside after just the inside additions proved to not be enough.) I'm liking her posing abilities. Here she is getting sassy one one leg in a little Dear Doll sized piggie outfit from Dollmore. Her ears have no trouble staying on now! Francine, Nympheas Squirrel Dreaming in dollmore dear doll sized piggie suit by aernath, on Flickr
@aernath - Francine is so adorable! What a cute pose. I never thought of adding magnets to the outside of the head but if it works, go for it. I need to blush Lilou's ears before I can use them, but I'll definitely try that trick. I'll probably make Lilou another wig. Sooner or later one of them won't look too bad. Thank you for liking this one anyway. I love the colors in it. I also love how this dress came out. The weather is getting cooler so I'll make one out of wool next. She's really fun to dress. Speaking of fun, I had so much fun with Lilou at last weekend's doll meetup that I pre-ordered Harmony. She's a teeny bit smaller all around but looks taller because she's thin, if that makes sense. If you're looking for shoes for Francine, I found that shoes for Helen Kish's 12-inch Bethany work. It's the slim Bethany, not the Bitty Bethany who is more of a toddler. The shoes are a tiny bit loose. They fall off even with socks, so I'll need to cut insoles for them, but I like how they look.
Did anyone else order Joy or Harmony? My Harmony is on her way to me at this moment. I'm surprised and delighted because I didn't expect her before February. Now if only the weather would warm up enough for me to paint her. I don't attempt faceups when the temperature is below freezing. I'm afraid the sealant, which I spray outdoors, will freeze upon--or before!--contact. Now begins the search for wigs, shoes and clothing.
I love your both Squirrel !!! so different style ^^ for infos i find good size of shoes for Squirrel here : For 16" Dolls (Flat) Factory work very fast for the Harmony & Joy !
Thank you! I love my Squirrel and can't wait for Harmony to arrive. I have a pair of Audrey flats from the page you linked. They're narrower than Squirrel's foot but could be stretched to work. I'm afraid to do that because I need them as is for another doll. Will they fit Harmony, do you think? I wonder if a style with a rounder toe might fit Squirrel better?
i'm so happy you love her ^^ hum few pairs seem fit well i will show you which one ! for Harmony it's to big, she had tinier feet than Squirrel
Little Harmony arrived today. I haven't taken photos yet as she has nothing to wear, although I did find a wig that sort of works. It has too much hair but I have a feeling most wigs will. Maybe I'll make her a wig.
Thanks! I'll buy some of the ballerina flats. I guess it depends on the individual wig. I have two size 4/5 wigs: one is way too big and the other fits but has too much hair. Do you have any shoe suggestions for Harmony?
Still no faceup--it's way too cold for spraying sealant--but Harmony has a dress (crocheted by me) and cute T-strap shoes from Ruby Red Galleria. The shoes are sized for Lati Yellow and PukiFee, although my other PukiFee shoes don't fit her. I'll put in her eyes after I paint her. She came with green eyes--my absolute favorite eye color!
The weather elements aligned over the weekend so Harmony got a faceup. I can't believe how different she looks now that she's painted. Here she is with Squirrel: Not sure what's going on with my photo. I see it when I choose Edit but it disappears after I hit Save Changes. Ah, wonderful! It's back.
Thanks, @aernath ! My Youpla Juliette claimed the Ruby Red Galleria shoes, so I'm on the hunt for shoes again. I found an inexpensive pair of boots from Monique Trading, but while they fit Harmony's feet they appear to have been made for a doll with very chubby legs. Harmony needs a better wig, too. I'll get her the Tyler ballet flats when I place a wig order from Facets.
Got to take my little Squirrel out with us to a state park last week. She's not too sure about this... Francine, Nympheas Squirrel Dreaming by aernath, on Flickr
@aernath - She does look concerned, but at least she's hugging her stuffie instead of clinging to the rock for dear life. Cute photo!
