Customs NYC customs time?

The longest I waited was about 3-5 but that only really happens during holiday time. Usually it’s a couple hours to a day.
I think you shouldn’t really worry just yet it’s only been three days. I think you can call usps to see where it’s at and sometimes that gets it to move. Other times there are employees that just tell you the tracking location which you already know. It just depends on the employee. But most of the time it doesn’t really do anything unless it’s been like weeks of no movement.

 

This past month I had a doll from Germany go through customs in NY and it spent about six days there
. It was odd because the tracking went from “inbound into customs” then no updates until it was at my post office in South Carolina and out for delivery.

 

Customs can be slower during November and December since that's usually when they have increased shipment volume, so I wouldn't start fretting until it goes over a week.

In addition, international package tracking is kind of wacky in general (sometimes USPS and the tracking aggregators like parcelsapp and 17track say different things) and sometimes employees just rush and no one scans the package, so it's moving along without the tracking saying so. I had a package I thought was still stuck in in NY customs get delivered.
