The head behind is Near.XD April 15 2006. like an egg... She was not today's style at that time. July 7 2006. The head was a bit smaller than Lii, so I decided to make a 19cm tall body for her. Aug 14 2006. A bit better than before...I was worry if she looks like Lati Coco at that time. I didn't want my dolls look like others'. Aug 20 2006. Pei Yi and her body. Part one ends.
Part two 2007 Aug 25 2007. Time went by...One year later after last photo taken...I was busy with tiny dolls, so put her aside.

you're right, i'm not sure why that is. perhaps it is because the eyes you have put in her head are quite dark and maybe you could try putting some brightly coloured ones in there instead?
It also looks like they might be just a touch too far back...you might need to deepen the eyewells a little so that eyes sit just a little more 'forward', closer to the surface of the face...
I sanded her eye holes and tried 16, 14mm eyes I have. Which one is the best? 16mm purple unstandard 16mm, (15mm) blue 14 mm green
how cuuuuute I hope my BJD's come out as sweet as yours! I'm liking the 16mm purple and the 14mm green.
Sitting that little farther forward makes the eyes look MUCH better! Personally, I like the 16mm purple the best in her, but I like larger iris with less white. She's looking fantastic.
It could be me, but I think that the outer corner of the right eye is a bit lower and cut further back than the left eye. It could also be the angle of the foto.
Hello: I like the 14mm better, but I'm partial to showing some white: If you decide to set the eyes looking in a certain direction, the white showing (as well as the position of the pupil) is how you see the direction the eye is looking in. P.S.: I'm also nutz for green eyes!!!
Thank all you for your advise.>3< Bruny, I will adjust her right eyes later. I found my other girls have the same problems on symmetry.(TvT)
The left one is first cast. I estimated less resin than needed, so there is a big hole...(TvT) big hole!
Oh, poor little thing. The zombies came and eated at her to celebrate Halloween. All joking aside, she is quite adorable! I envy your talent and motivation.
I'm a big fan! your heads look so amazing in resin, the colour is so milky and smooth. Can i ask what you are using?
aneemal, I use white resin made in China.^^ I took these photos under my lamp, so the color is a bit yellow than really color. This photo of body is closer to it's really color.^^ I think it's a bit white to me, so I will add skin color dye later.>< The smooth effect is because the original sculpt is smooth and the light color makes it looks smoother.>< Lulalatte, thank you.>< eskibaby, thank you.^^ I will introduce Pei Yi's sister, Qiiro later.XD
So...I guess there's no shortcut then! To get a good cast, you've gotta get a near-prefect original! I hope I can get mine half as smooth as yours! I've never worked with resin before, but I love the look of it. Good luck and I hope you keep posting lots more
Thank you.^^ The sanding work is really hard and boring. And it seems it's endless. I still can find somewhere on original sculpts need to be sanded, but I will be mad if I continue sanding.><
You are very talented. Looking through the past posts, it was very fun to see a doll developed. The final product is amazing. Great job!
Yoruichi_Shihoin, thank you.^^ AirimirOfGondor, thank you. It's interesting to make a doll without plan...We don't know what she will be at last. XD winternight, uh-oh..Qiiro is nervous...^^ monkeuchi, thank you. Hexad Lii is elder sister of them.^^ salasandra, thank you.>< Bruny, thanks~
oh another beauty.... you are so talented! I actually love the position of her eyebrows, it seems to give her a more pleading look. Such lovely work!
monkeuchi, ah...Lii will be available as soon as Pei Yi.^^ Elmer, um...It's complex...To cast, you need make a silcone mold first><. last update, she is completed.^^
DD-ANNE> oh nooo~~ this is a temptation~~~ i do wish to get Lii but I dun think i can save enough in a short time..ToT
It's amazing to see a doll go through all the stages of production, you can really start to appreciate the hard work, artistry and skill that goes into making a BJD. Well done! She is so cute
monkeuchi, ^^ she is not limited. spiritedaway, thank you.^^ Gelfling, thank you.-3- lolipop, thanks.>< Your Coppelia is cute too!!
