you're right, i'm not sure why that is. perhaps it is because the eyes you have put in her head are quite dark and maybe you could try putting some brightly coloured ones in there instead?

 

It also looks like they might be just a touch too far back...you might need to deepen the eyewells a little so that eyes sit just a little more 'forward', closer to the surface of the face...

 

Personally, I think the 14mm look best.

Sitting that little farther forward makes the eyes look MUCH better! Personally, I like the 16mm purple the best in her, but I like larger iris with less white. She's looking fantastic.

It could be me, but I think that the outer corner of the right eye is a bit lower and cut further back than the left eye. It could also be the angle of the foto.

 

Hello: I like the 14mm better, but I'm partial to showing some white: If you decide to set the eyes looking in a certain direction, the white showing (as well as the position of the pupil) is how you see the direction the eye is looking in.

P.S.: I'm also nutz for green eyes!!!

 

Oh, poor little thing. The zombies came and eated at her to celebrate Halloween. All joking aside, she is quite adorable! I envy your talent and motivation.

So...I guess there's no shortcut then! To get a good cast, you've gotta get a near-prefect original! I hope I can get mine half as smooth as yours! I've never worked with resin before, but I love the look of it.
