Notdoll Naripon discussion Part 1

May 25, 2006

    1. Thanks Valli--yes, those are her original eyes, but I ordered her new blue ones.

Imajica--yes, I blushed her body, including her knees, tummy and arms and little butt---
I have changed eyes in a Pon before, but the cracker was changing Theas eyes--OMG they were the size of a pin head, and kept sticking to my fingers. After that, 6mm is easy!

By the way, Baba wears size 8mm, her eyes are bigger than the other Pons.

    2. Your little Pons are wonderful! LOVE the pink little mouth you gave Periwinkle...she doesn't look too sulky at all. Baba Ganoosh is a great name and has me grinning too. I like Baba Ganoosh as a girl, I thought it was a boy on the Notdoll website. Love the outfits too... :)

    3. Thanks Lana--Baba WAS a boy on the Notdoll site, I thought he made a cute girl--a bit devilish, but for a Pon, that's normal! Now I am trying to find someone to swap me a Daisy, or else I will have to get one from Notdoll. I do hate waiting!

    4. From what I remember I hardly waited at all for my Pansy and they threw in so many freebies it was like christmas.

This is the only photo I have of Pansy that does not look like she is going to kick something. I feel so badly that I sold Mallow, my Bonbon. I just couldnt take to the pink. I should have chosen tan, normal or something clearly fantasy coloured. The pink always looked to me like someone got normal skin colour wrong. It is such a tender photo though. I dont regret the selling, I regret the bad choice of colour. I will just have to save up and get her a new parent. I have fallen for the Coco mould in a big way, I think she would be just as nurturing for my girls. Gah I wish I had the end of the rainbow in my garden

    5. Oh, she DOES make a great "mom"! I have made bad choices on skin color too, I get so mad at myself when I do that.

Still looking for a name for my little one.................

In the meantime, I found some old pics of my girls--here is an older pic of Baba Ganoosh!

And here is Ennui Storm, my little Goth Pansy, who lives with my daughter.

Not the best pics, they were taken with my old camera.

    6. LOL, love the sweetness of Ennui's dress combined with the goth makeup and challenging face. I have that hawaiian outfit. Its such fun!

    7. Oh, so much cuteness pon attention here now. Very nice.

Cute new pons Jenny. Yea! I am glad you can re-discover them again. That is fun.

I have really been wanting them for a while and I have been sticking around here and reviving the thread sometimes. Still, I just don't get around to getting one. Not yet. I guess I like so many dolls and they are not the highest on my list. Those drat limited Lati dolls have got me. Anyways, they do look like they have similiar bodies to Secretdoll tinies. Like gilou says. Sister dolls.
Have fun. I shall enjoy the show.
      :)

    8. Thanks Dollightful,
I was lucky because two of my Pons were sold to one of my good friends who lives not too far from me--and she lost interest in them, so that is why I was able to buy them back. I had been missing them for a while, but then I started looking at this thread again and it made me really want them back. Until I started playing with them again, I didn't realize just how MUCH I missed them!

    9. I really want a second Pon...definitely a Pansy. I need two of them to protect me from Nell

I just think they are so cute in pairs and look like such little tuffies. Their eyes aren't as mean as the Secretdoll babies, but maybe because they're bigger, and I love the disgusted expression they do so well.

    10. What's that about disgusted Pon expressions?

    11. I love naripons......so funny when I started with bjd's I didn't understand what people liked about them...but now I love all the dolls like naripons , secretdolls etc....they have character!!!!!!!!!!!!!
best friends...and although my toadstool looks dangerous he is such a cutie...just a bit grumpy, but my smiling soso is the one that decides what to do and he does everything she wants

    12. Her new blue eyes came, and with them her name--Fleur!

    13. Very cute. Sweet little girl. Pons mouths are the best!

DarkStar and wilkies you both even make little Toadstool look cute

    14. Fleur is so happy--she has a sister on the way! After selling my Naripons (a couple years ago) I began to miss them. I have found my favorite one, Daisy, and she is on her way home!

    15. Congratulations, Jenny! And I just love Fleur (though I'm not sure she'd last a day with my gang)! Now is Fleur the former Baba Ganoosh or am I just dismally unobservant about Nari-pons (with the exception of Toadstools)?

    16. Yay for little Daisy on her way.

    17. Fleur is the Periwinkle I adopted from my friend--Baba Ganoosh is a "Garlic" pon.

I am thrilled about Daisy, who will be Violetta---she is going to be quite the wee lady!

    18. I am so happy--I found a Naripon Daisy, and after a new faceup--here is my little princess, Violetta! She is showing off her travel case, painted with violets--of course!

    19. More Pon spam--I tried my hand at making Violetta a new dress.

    20. Jenny that is fantastic! The dress is so pretty and the new faceup makes her look so sweet and gentle.

    21. THANK YOU! I have to admit, I stabbed myself with the needle a hundred times trying to sew that small.........and had to keep stopping so I wouldn't bleed all over the lace. Geez, the things we do. :>)

    22. Oh I see someone nabbed the Violet in the marketplace--I thought about her, but decided I just wanted two for now.

      I caught Violetta in her boudoir during a private moment;

    23. Your girl is really sweet, Jenny.
Here's Pfft! on a swing I bought today at the fair.

And a closeup. She's still wearing the spider headband. She's refusing to take it off!

    24. Valli, that's a great swing--perfect for her! The headband--oh, they sure know what they like and have no problem letting us know.

    25. For my daughters birthday on Thursday, she asked me to transform her Pansy into a vampire---now I get to dress her! This is a really fun project!

    26. Wow, Jenny, you did a great job! Very impressive little vampire! Bet the dressing part will be fun!

    27. Thanks DarkStar! I have black lace and stuff--not sure yet how I will dress her, but underwear for sure--and maybe a long black lace gown with a corset--red rose--I don't know, I have a few days to play!

    28. This much fun should be illegal!

    29. Violetta is so beautiful in her new dress Jenny.
Wow! What a clever tiny vampire you have made!
You make me want to get a Naripon again. Seems you have revived this thread.
Can you believe how much the Secretdoll Yogi thread has been revived and how popular it is now? We were in the beginning of the revival. lol

Valli, your girl is cute with attitude on her swing.

    30.
    31. Fleur demonstrates how she goes green.

    32. Doesn't anyone here still love their Pons? :(:(

No one wants to play?? :...( :...(

    33. Aw, I love my naripon Malice. She is the first doll of her size that I bought. Since then, I added three Secretdolls. I really only wanted one to be a friend for Mal, but Secretdolls always want sisters, so poor little Mal is outnumbered. Maybe this weekend, after my grandson goes home, I will have time for new photos.

    34. I LOVE your Malice, I saved a pic of her sitting in a tree, she is wearing a white dress with a chain on it--- hope to see her again soon!

    35. I think there's only so much of Sweet William one can take. This is him dancing in celebration with Poppy when spampy got her Baby Fairy. (Poppy was not too impressed by his dance moves.)

    36. I still love my little girl, maybe today I will take more pictures of her and share.

      Your vampire turned out great!

    37. Mustangsally, I love your avatar--is she a Pon Song? Would love to see more pics of her.

    38. AAck! JUNIE"S BACK!!!!!! LOL, I am SOOOO happy to see her again!!

Fleur and Flora, the terrible twins, decided to scalp poor Thea while she was babysitting.

    39. Oh dear Juniper... you make me laugh.

And the terrible twins... They take the biscuit. What wonderful naughty girls they are.

    40. Fleur; "Did you hear that? Who they be talking about that's TERRIBLE? Not US, right?"

Flora; "Na, why anyone would call US terrible?? 'sides, we be so cute we can get away with ANYthing!"

    41. Your girls are so cute Jenny. I especially luv the above blue look with the goldfish dresses. Pretty.

Sher, your Twister photos are so great! So funny.

    42. I have the D T's--as in
DOUBLE TROUBLE!! I wonder what it is they "didn't" do?

    43. Finally taking the time to throw Miss Nari Lucky Clover in here.
Jenny, I love how you dress your girls.....do you make their clothes?

    44. Jenny, love those dresses, especially how the goldfish face each other! You have such a wonderful knack for finding the cutest things and coordinating them so well! Very cute!

    45. Thanks Mustangsally and Darkstar! I made the fish dresses, but the "I didn't do it" clothes were made by a lady named Yvonne on Etsy. It isn't easy to find cute fabrics in tiny scale, but when I find them, I grab them!

I adore your little Lucky Clover, I think she is the first one I have seen--other than on the Notdoll site. The way you did her hair is just too darned cute!

Thea is really mad the twins scalped her, so she is trying on wigs, but they still deny any wrongdoing....................

    46. Poor Thea....the trauma. Such naughty NariPon's, shame on them. My Lucky Clover who I call "Nari" is very naughty as well....she shares nothing and takes everything but I still love her, my other tinies don't however :doh

    47. Oh my that scalping was almost too traumatic!
Everyone's little ones are way too cute.

    48. Jenny you are having .....way....tooo....much fun with your girls, just adorable and love the way you dress them. Do you make their clothing? Great job!

I have my own girl now, she's adopted and loves every minute with the other kids, she's a Narion Perwinkel named 'Tulip' cause she came from Holland.

    49. Jenny, your girls are hysterical! I shouldn't encourage them by laughing but they are too fun:D

Mustangsally, I love your little Lucky Clover Song, she is precious:D That little face is so sweet!

PRGerry, its great to see you have a Pon now:D I can't wait to see what sort of trouble she gets into with the other kids;)

    50. I for one think they are adorable, especially the grouchy ones. A little personality is what makes some dolls unique, and many people like that.

    51. I'm new and just stumbled on this great thread. I love my Nari Pons. I have Pansy and Daisy and they are the cutest. I think dolls with different expressions have so much personality that they are easy to build stories around. I love all your photos!

    52. I love my Nari Pons. To me they are just spoiled little girls who like getting their own way. Stubborn too. I can't understand why anyone would see malevolence in these cute little pieces of resin. What you see is what you get, I guess.

Oops! I forgot I already posted above.

    53. Hi Merci--we would love to see pics of your little monsters--I mean, GIRLS!

Gerry, so glad to see you here, I wondered where you went! Your Tulip is darling! Yes, I made the twins dresses.

Mitya, I laugh at them too--but not where they can see!

    54. THIS MADE MY DAY I laughed so hard XD
I'd never looked into nari-pons until I saw this thread. I don't think they're very bad looking :3 I'm not a tiny person, though, but they are sorta cute. THey're just kind of 'eh' to me, not super super cute, and not super super ugly. They're cute to an extent, but that's it for me XD

    55. Here is one of my Nari-pons called BB talking business with Grin (modded Pukisha)
I just love these lil ones!

    56. WOW BB has quite the personality! And I LOVE what you did with your Pukisha, that is awesome.

    57. Halloween is coming...better be nice to any Nari-pons you may have around the house, or you might find yourself on the wrong end of a magic spell.

    58. :XD: Haha! Good thinking;):D Who knows what they'd do to you if they felt offended!

Oh wow! That is the most amazing Pukisha:D Not to mention that adorable little Naripon at his side:D
