Notdoll Naripon discussion Part 1

Toadstool has his/her own thread Some people finally got her/him. I think we Toodstool lovers are a bit worried we'll frighten you if the Toadstool were posted here, LOL.

I think they're uber cool, and the funniest things. If you look back a few pages, you can find where siruveru linked to a hispanic community forum with hillarious pictures (a bit off color, but so funny!) She also linked a page earlier to another forum. All great pictures!

awww Gilou your little girl is too cute. Thank you for sharing all her pics. My girls wants to meet her. So I spent a lot of time with the girls today so pics are coming soon.

Now that September is here, Halloween can't be far away. Mal wanted me to post her photo and make candy apples.

2 of my favorite dolls of all time ...my Naripons .Gither and Magrat
they have been with me since they were first released ..Gither especially is a favorite , as a very dear friend/customer gave me her body

Thanks for the Calico Critters tip. I have never heard of them. Very cute items. I did not see the dollhouse yet, but what I have seen is cute.

Does anyone know if the fullset tiny Naripons have different face ups then the non limited fullset ones? It seems that way to me. I was wondering if it was just me or is that true? Oh, I wish I could get one. Low on funds though.
Please let me know. I wonder about a fullset one. The Ginger fullset seems to have a different face then the regular one. I adore the fullset.

Dollightful - I don't think they're different per se, just that there is always going to be slight variations when it comes to hand-painted faceups. My Pansy looks only mildly grumpy, while I've seen others in the gallery that look downright homicidal

I agree with anbaachan. I have 2 pansies and one looks slightly sulkier than the other. My friend hrh_babydoll's pansy has a questioning look. The slant of the eyebrows makes a big difference on the expression. The quality of the rest of the features is about the same though. Some have darker dots at the corners of the mouth. I carefully picked mine off, as I didn't like it.

 

Thanks for the info anbaachan and dabacpac. I guess it is the way the mouth is painted. That could be it. The mouth is fuller on the fullset. I like that.
I wish I had a money tree. I hear they cost too much. ha!

 

Okay. I just found out that Ginger does not have full lips. Her tongue is sticking out! ha! Well, even though it is cute. I may not need another tiny with a tongue sticking out. I already have my Cupid2. tee hee!! I hope to get at least, a Naripon someday.

Here is naughty Nari all ready for Halloween with her sisters, I wanted to make a devil costume for her but never could find a pitch fork small enough :

 

Aw, thanks! That bag is from a little Halloween set of stuff meant for scrapbooking, I think from a company called "Jolene". They have lots of fun teeny stuff in their scrapbooking line that's suitable for Pon props. . The candy would be very easy to make, it's just seed beads in primary colors, twisted in a bit of cellophane. I have a vast amount of dollhouse miniatures. I collected them for years, way before I found tiny dolls to play with them. I can and do spend hours setting up little scenes to photograph. This is why I have a messy house. I'd so much rather play than work.

 

I love those Jolene scrapbooking sets! You can find great stuff in there. I snagged a kimono for my Fidelia Firefly and a number of other outfits. You have to remove the sticky stuff and then I usually cut them up the back and fray check and no-sew velcro on them - have gotten a couple of cute outfits that way plus all those little extras that come in handy for tiny props! They usually run about $3.99 around here which is a pretty good price for a little dress or outfit in tiny size!

Interesting DarkStar. I think I once wondered about those clothes... I did not know you could actually use them. Wow! Very inventive. Do you have a photo?

 

The Jolene clothes I have are really little, more suitable for skinny tiny Elfdolls than Pons. Here is one of my Elfdolls in a Jolene Pirate outfit.

linakauno, that's a great Jolene pirate outfit on your girl, also love the props. Malice is one of my favorites, esp. love her name, so perfect!

Mustangsally, they sure look ready for Saturday. What about one of those nut picks that come with dried fruit and nut trays. Or the thing that holds the gift card in floral displays. They may be too big still and not a true pitchfork but just an idea.

wilkies, I didn't know the naripon head could go on a puki body. Easy? That gives many more possibilities as my pons kick a lot. I like the skull and table too. I have the rement pumpkin as well.

 

I have missed Juniper Snowpea! She is the one that really got me looking at tinies in general (not calling YOU tiny, Juniper!) and Naripons in particular.

I'm with Dabacpac on this one...I wouldn't even want to think what kind of a bloodbath could insue if someone happened to choose "trick" over "treat". Juni is treat enough :0)

They wear 3 inch wigs. Very small, about as big as tiny Elfdoll girls.

 

Thanks! The funny thing about Malice's name is that long after I named her I discovered that there is a J-rock band with a similar name. I just thought of it as being a good name for my malevolent little pon. I also have a grandson named Malcolm whose nickname in the family is Mal, so I guess it was just in my mind.

I think Pansy and Violet are my favorites. It is hard to tell exactly though unless I have them all in real photos side by side.

They are always out of stock. Are they ever available? Are there any like them somewhere?

I asked once; the lady who made them had to stop because of health reasons and they will not be restocked. Someone here on DOA was making reproductions, but I can't remember her name. I love those little dresses; maybe the DOA member will surface here in this thread.

 

Actually, the little clothes for the RealPukis on this website would probably fit Pons. http://www.willowswardrobe.com/ RealPukis are about the size of Secretdoll baby fairies, which are also about the size of Nari-pons.

gilou - I like your photos so much. There is always so much going on. Yours girls are so happy with all of their toys. How nice. Your violet is so pretty.

 

here is a link to jenny's flickr, you can see the difference with realpuki and secretdoll, so the length is a difference but the knitted trousers will fit ok and the dresses will be a little shorter, but that doesn't matter. naripon is about the same as secretdoll and realpuki is really smaller..

Thanks for the comparison photos. It's hard to believe anything could be smaller than a Pon or Baby Fairy, but I think they could share a few clothes. I can hardly wait for my Realpuki to join my tiny crew. I have no idea who she will be yet, but I expect she will tell me when she arrives. Miss Malice is, of course, outraged at the idea of any new tiny creatures coming here. She loathes having to share and hasn't spoken to anyone ever since she found out.
