Notdoll Naripon discussion Part 1

Nari-pon.. oh my! I keep teetering on wanting one.. I love tinies... after rereading this thread again I may have to actually get one! Love those expressions...

 

I have to say that in my case Naripons really grew on me. When I first saw them I thought what a weird looking lil thing and then gradually reading the Snowpea stories and looking at other owners piccies my love for them developed until finally when I saw a Pansy in the Market place I finally took the plunge!
I would be lying if I said that I was not a lil shocked when she arived at just HOW tiny they really are but as soon as I had given her a faceup and had time to play with her my heart was truly taken!
My BB is my favourite Tiny so far and you never know I may even be tempted to get her a playmate one day.

I also have a Periwinkle and a Daisy. I love them.

No, I didn't make it. It came with my Monomono Dal doll, made by Jun Planning.

 

I didn't like Pons at first...but they grow on you. I know that I will have to have one eventually.
Like I need more dollies with attitude. But who am I to say no?

 

I must have the only pon in creation that doesn't seem perturbed. I expected Avena to arrive a bundle of spitfire, and she is just the sweetest thing. I swore I'd never have a second doll, but this one just had to come home. Good luck on the tests!

My dollpage pics are back up this evening.... super fast... I was posting "PICS TEMP DOWN" notes all over my messages on DoA earlier this morning!!

 

LOL, You know, they remind me of the old fashioned / cheap dolls that my grandmother used to send me with hair that couldn't be brushed or you'd ruin it. So I was initially kinda blah about them, but now they're growing on me I really like the punk one on pg. 1! I didn't think they looked angry though, more like old fashion german dolls... which I'm learning to appreciate more. Not at all realistic, true, more a style that I may be making peace with again, LOL.

i didnt like these dolls when i first discovered bjd. i thought they looked like spoiled kids about to throw a tantrum which i found irritating (i see kids throw a fit at the store and i cringe) but the more i have seen them the more they have grown on me. they just look defiant and spunky to me now and i like that

 

Boy, these Naripons really do stick to you. Let's see, I've spent mucho dineros on my Bobobie Sprite girl, but I'm still thinking about these little buggers. As much as I know that once July hits I'm gonna be a little older, I can't wait for July to get here so that I can purchase a Periwinkle (there I said it, so I've decided). I've compared faces, colorings and Periwinkle just seems so soft and delicate. I'm in trouble... or better yet, my pocketbook that is.



I just could not wait for July to get here, so here is Smidgie.

Thank you Teryl. It helps me continue with this when I get such lovely responses. i've nearly collected the entire set of tea pots. I think there are 2 missing, Garlic and Green Pepper. They are so cute.

I finally finished her bread bin/box room. Good thing we don't use this as she won't be giving up her room again. She gave up her teddy bear set to Rolo, but demanded her own room and she wasn't willing to share!

 

That is one of the cutest stories I've heard in a long time... I enjoyed your Naripon.

 

Oh my! Thank you Miep. Even though the Puki has rather taken over, I thought my Pfft ought to show herself and remind everyone that there are some other tinies about who deserve to be noticed. LOL You could hardly miss her, she has such a HUGE attitude.

I do knit for her and my other tinies. Anything in crochet, I've usually bought. Its not my strong point, but I do adore miniature knitting. This scale is quite big for me! LOL Thank you, I'm so glad you like her and her bedroom. She's a very happy Pon now. Perhaps not so happy with me as she was sent to bed, but... she'll get over it. *grin*

Yes, well noticed. Carrie sent it to me. It was for Momo, but Pfft liked it. I've put a heap of conditioning spray on it. It was flying in all directions before. Sorry the photo isn't that good. My camera doesn't like the spot lights!

 

Once these lil guys creep into your life there is no forgetting them , they would never allow it! LOL

Naripons are the tuffest looking little girls I have ever seen. I wish I had their attitude. One of these days I'm going to have one, but I think Lucy will be my first Notdoll. I'm going to have to work up strength to handle that "Naripon tude"

You know, I never even LIKED little kid dolls, or baby dolls, always, since I was a small girl, they had to be pre-teen at the absolute youngest! That is, I had Velvet, of the Crissy dolls, and I loved her (but would rather have had Crissy, LOL) I thought of her as a teen anyway.

So here I am, an old woman, and I find these lovely VERY adult dolls, and what draws me in? A PUKI! A BROWNIE, but frankly, I didn't think I'd ever like a Naripon. No, not a Naripon, never.... But good lord help me, something....is... happening..............
