USA North Alabama (Huntsville) Meetup

    1. I am a long-time dolly owner currently living in the Huntsville, Alabama area and looking for others in and around the area that are dying for a meetup, especially after a long, dry spell!

      I moved here about 2 1/2 years ago with family (who are also BJD owners) and have yet to meet any dolly locals, so I would be thrilled to find others nearby~

      I had not found one, so I've also setup a discord server for the Hunstville and greater North Alabama area, but of course anyone interested and nearby are more than welcome to join! Any meetups decided on would be advertised here.

    4. I've been trying to get a meet or something together with the Georgia folks without any luck :" ). I hope you guys can pull something together! Maybe if some sort of overnight trip is planned, I can drive out there sometime!

    5. That would be super awesome! I've honestly been eyeballing Atlanta, but atm it's just too far with the motion sickness I've been dealing with *_*:lol:
      But hopefully, soon~

      In the meantime, I'm here for the long haul!

    8. Hello!!! And yay for neighbors! I'm hoping to start organizing a potential meet around March/April, but have to get through February first. I'm hoping the weather will change to a bit more warmer by then, because there are two outside areas we could hold it at that would allow us to get very lovely photos!

    11. Hello from the Auburn, AL area!
      Hoping to find some dolly friends in person to meet and gush over dolls with. I've been trying to recruit my own friend but she is not super into them. I would be so over joked to have a Irl dolly friend.

    19. Hello to everyone!!

      I cannot believe I missed two people posting back in September! @_@ Unfortunately, that's when I got really sick. I've been trying to get back into the groove of things and would like to organize a meet, but have an upcoming obligation next month. However, that gives some time for us to work details out!

      I'm tentatively thinking May or June. They recently finished a new library here with large meeting rooms and we have several open parks. Let me know what everyone prefers~

    20. I would be down for a meet up even in Huntsville. I personally am in the auburn / opelika area but could make the drive. I'm attending momocon in May but I'm off Monday to Thursday so a week day meet would ideal for me. I could take time off if it is more ideal for a weekend meet for everyone else though.

    29. Sad I just saw this but very exciting to see some activity in the south here. I'd be up for TN, AL, or GA meet ups at this point cx

      Since this thread goes all the way back to 2021, would people be up for a Huntsville meetup? Maybe we could meet up at Bridge Street or Campas 805 ?

    30. I've absolutely missed these posts! O_O

      I think it would definitely be a nice time to plan for a meet up~ I had been contemplating a few areas to suggest, but had been undecided on them. Any of the libraries would be great and have nice meeting rooms for free, but we wouldn't be able to do any sales. There are several beautiful parks with covered pavillions, but the heat this summer has been insane! (Though it seems to be cooling a bit?) There was also someone at Lowe Mills interested in hosting last year, but the elevator has been out and that would definitely limit who could come. (Though, I've heard they were working on a new one?)

      I'm completely open for suggestions! I would love for us to finally start having some meets, even if they are some small ones as we get our footing!

    31. Hey guys! 2025 is here and I wanted to make a post to see how many people would be interested in a February Huntsville meet up? We could meet up at a local library or even mabye a local coffee shop, something easy and low pressure! If your interested please let me know if you have any date or location preferences or suggestions!

      Also anyone know if there is a north-Alabama, Alabama, or other southern BJD groups that have active discords? If not I was thinking of starting one c:

    33. New I just found out there is a free convention coming to Opelika, AL called Toracon! It's April 18th 10am to 4pm at the opelika public library if anyone is going I would totally be down to plan a meet up!
