I personaly hope that rasberry will be available to order via Layway. I fell for this girl badly because she has all the features I've always liked. Big pouty lips, beautiful eye shape and those hands~<3

    2. Oh. My. God.

I have $1000 from my paychecks squirreled away for a chibi Unoa, but this.... This may be a serious contender. I love her kissy lips and her hips! Can't wait to see more photos. :D

Found the Flickr set for this girl from the creator! You can see detailed body pictures and more photos. :D
      http://www.flickr.com/photos/asella/sets/72157627971261641/with/7063892597/

    3. Hi, she will be made in highly stable resin, so no worrying about yellowing. Also the tan dolls are tan all the way through and can be sanded.

She is amazing...her body is divine...and she will fit Unoa shoes and clothing...

    4. That's good to hear about resin being stable. It's not polyurethane though, right?

I prefer double jointed elbows and single jointed knees because it's a nice balance between aesthetics and poseability.

I'm torn between the two tans and normal skin. I think I'll even start looking at clothes that will fit to get an idea of which look will suit each skin tone.

    5. Hi all, I was just pm'd by the Mods. We cannot discuss product information or pricing here. All questions should be directed to the store. Discussion threads cannot be used as store fronts. So any questions relating, please email, I am not allowed to answer here and threads have been deleted.

      Apologies to the mods...

    6. But can you inform anything of the product in the news section? I've understood that you can, though I'm not sure if you can mention the price.

    7. Here is from the mods in my pm...
Post ID: We have only human colors planned for her. Typically we......
      Thread: Noble Dolls Discussion
Reason: Please direct product & pricing questions to Jpopdolls directly. Discussion threads can't be used as storefronts. Thanks!

So ...I do not want to offend the mods. As you see, product or price cannot be discussed.

    8. Alright, I just thought that some information could be written in the news section, but apparently I was wrong. I didn't mean to upset you or sound like I didn't believe you.

    9. Huh, strange.... I thought you could discuss prices and product details in the News section too! Maybe I was wrong.

I actually found a comparison photo between Raspberry (cast by Noble Dolls) and 9 other dolls posted by Asella on Materiel Celeste! It's really interesting to see how different she is - it certainly does look like MNF/Unoa clothes would fit her quite nicely. And, it looks like Raspberry might have a faceplate system, if I'm interpreting the profile photo correctly! Here, a bit further down the page (NWS).

I love how curvaceous she is! :)

    10. I hope it is okay that I share two of Lowenaels pictures here! X3 I just loove that face-up on her! X3

Hazel (ND Raspberry) by Lowenael, on Flickr

I am also one who really hopes on layaway option x'D
I would really love getting two of these girls! ...

      • x 1
    11. Lowenael's girl is definitely very cute! Though I also really love the blue Raspberry, and someone's modded one (with the short red hair). Honestly, I haven't yet found a photo of Raspberry that didn't make me want her even more!

As far as the blank pics (they're pictures of the actual prototype), I unfortunately can't repost them here because The Joint asks its members not to repost photos. Some of them are photos posted on Asella's flickr and blog, but some are new too. Link for anyone with an account. (Does the Joint maybe have "closed" registration like DoA, where you have to email the admin to create you an account? There are a lot of interesting WIPs from various small artists, so I do recommend trying to get an observer membership if you're interested in first behind-the-scenes looks at small artist dolls!)

Thanks for the update, grael! So Asella is the one who came up with the face-ups too, huh? I'm really curious about how this whole artist/distributor dynamic works - is she in charge of the whole presentation of the doll too, like the default face-ups, the packaging and the like, or is that something you do? :)

elsii - I believe Asella specifically said that she wanted to make Raspberry's head such a size that it would make it really easy for her to share wigs with a MNF, so I think we're all set on this front! Besides, even if it is a bit on the small side, nothing a protective wig cap can't fix.

Also, maybe I'm a bit of a masochist but I kind of love waiting... I always get the most creative when I wait for a doll that's meant to be one of my characters (Gah, I'm already drawing another outfit for her, instead of sleeping to go to work... Ooops "OTL)

Marha - Oooh, I love copper hair! I'm going for a nearly black red, but I absolutely love all shades of red hair! The robot thing is a neat idea, I think she would actually look really good with all of the mods.

    12. the modded one is mine, her name is Makka ^^

      Only eyes are different!

      • x 2
    13. Limë, Makka is amazing! I love her bright red hair and I think the mods look fantastic! (But then again, she's a Raspberry and I don't think it's possible to make her look anything other than awesome)

If you don't mind me asking, how does she pose? :)

    14. Just to know, mine is "peach" skin and she has been cast by asella this winter :) I'm also waiting for a tan one, cast by jpopdoll as soon as they will arrive ^^

    15. Limë, wow, thanks for the photos! She looks sooo graceful and dainty - just as I'd hoped! Now I'm even more excited. :fangirl:

So she fits Unoa 2nd clothes, huh? This is a good thing to remember....

    16. Haaa ... I haven't time ti reply here before >_< thanks you for all your comments :) I'm happy to see you love my doll ^^
We haven't plan all for the pre order, we wait for samples :) they must be send soon, It's so exiting >_< !

Thanks Limë for pics ! I need to make others, but for the moment, I'm a little busy :/

For wigs, my doll have a head back adapted to 6/7 wigs ! I would like only joy for all owner of Raspberry : shoes, eyes, wig and clothes will be easy to find :)

The outfit on Makka was made on a domuya 40 cm :) the dress on mine (Lovelace) is unoa size

    17. I don't know if she can wear 2nd clothes, but the ones she wears were my 2nd ones (made by Asella). Maybe company clothes won't fit!

    18.
    19. If the resin is the same as my Kaye Wiggs doll, it is very, very nice and very smooth. The artist at the factory has done a fantastic job with her face-up too, just like Kaye's sample.

    20. How do they hold up to aging, for anyone who has an artist doll from Jpopdolls? I would imagine it's probably "environmental" resin, which so far seems to get good results, but it's a very new type, only introduced to dolls in 2009.

    21. Not sure yet with my girl Lelite. I have only had her since late January this year. I pre ordered her. She is in a colour called "sunkissed", which is a lovely Caramel tan.

But I can say that I have never seen anyone selling one of Kaye's dolls ever mentioning any yellowing.

To me my girl looks very High Quality.

    22. Just a bit of FYI on resin. The texture, color and translucency of resin depends on how it is finished (polished, sanded, powdered molds or not), and how much pigment is added. Our resin starts out clear. Some artists prefer the "French" look, so less pigment, more polishing...some prefer more matte...no polishing, seems cut only ...The exact same resin can look translucent or opaque depending on what process you use.

As long as you use high quality UV...dolls should stay their original color if treated well.

    23. Thank you for the info Grael! : D ... So if I wanted a doll to have that french look I could polish it myself or?

Can you say what kind of process you use? ^^

    24. grael - thanks for the info on the process of the doll distribution and the resin!

But... is there any way we could confirm what type of resin it is? It may seem very fussy and picky, and I sincerely apologize for that, but I just would... kind of be very sad if I ended up buying a doll made with french resin, no matter how much I wanted the doll and how beautiful it was (and I personally think that french resin looks lovely - it's not the translucence I'm worried about). Truthfully, not knowing the resin is seriously the one and only hang-up I have about buying Raspberry, otherwise I am all in. I treat my dolls very, VERY well - they rarely go out in the sun, are always stored in the coldest part of my house away from light/humidity when I'm not doing anything with them, but I have seen some pretty terrible things happen to french resin dolls that were kept the same way I keep my dolls - and which still ended up butter yellow. I know all resin ages, and that's okay... I would feel really, really bad if my favourite doll turned a funny and unsightly colour in a matter of months. :( If this counts as asking for product information, I can e-mail you about this too!

I know that the difference between resin types (in general, not just in relation to dolls - looked into this while I was contemplating doing some casting) depends on the exact bonding subunits used in the polymerization reaction that happens when resin cures. From what I know, the chief reason french resin is so notorious for yellowing is because the reagents used to make it reacts very poorly to the addition of UV stabilizer, whereas the other resins don't have that problem, so most people using french resin opt to not add UV stabilizer.

    25. Marha: no, we would have to do that during the processing time.

Lelite: No we do not use French resin...we can create a "French look" but adding clear tints and polishing.

And just a note...the dolls I work with...are not well taken care of, meaning, they are constantly handled and because I need bright light when creating colors for wigs, choosing fabrics for shoes, for both Jpop and Monique, they are often in sunlight for days at a time...and none so far have any color issues...

    26. Hi all, not supposed to answer product questions, so anyone can email or pm me

    27. More photos up on her flickr! http://www.flickr.com/photos/asella/
Soooo pretty!!!! I'm going to hold out for maybe tan skin....plus I want to get my other Asella beauty home first ;).

    28. Hello all,
First no, those are special colors for Asella's show, that is not tan or light tan. We do not have those colors yet in hand.
On release. No, normal will not be released again. Once the pre-order is over, that skin color will be retired. There are many reasons that it is done this way, one is that it allows the artist to sculpt and present new dolls for us all.

Kayjay: factories do not function that way, the smaller the production, the less cost effective for the factory. That is why everyone, eye factories, clothing, dolls, all have a minimum order.

    29. Here is my girl posing on her own..[IMG]

    30. She is so beautiful! Is this the darker tan, or light tan version?

    31. Thank you ^^ it's the dark tan

    32. Here's a photo of my Raspberry. :aheartbea More in gallery.

    33. Wow i was able to put this girl off my mind because of her price range... but your owner pictures did not help with that! she look so friggin amazing.

What size clothing did you have to fit her?

    34. Everything she's wearing for this photoshoot were made for Unoa and fits her fairly well. The jeans are a bit loose on the waist but still works.

    35. Nude photo of Annick. :fangirl: More in Gallery.

    36. got my girl today. she is so lovely

    37. Making her DoA debut, my gorgeous (unnamed) Raspberry, tan version:
Many thanks to Noble Dolls Asella and Valandra and of course to Grace @ Jpopdolls for making this gorgeous doll accessible. She is a true jewel in my collection!

    38. Wow, I'm so happy to hear that there will be an elf version! That was the only thing holding me back from buying a Raspberry, I only want an elf XD

    39. Just a note on our tans. Our first tans are now over 3 years old, and they have not changed a bit. The UV we use I ship from the usa to our factory..My tan, light dolls are not taken care of in any special way, in fact they are in my house, all over my house...so they get exposed to some sun...and they still look great!

    40. I haven't still any pictures of my Raspberry with my Rhubarb but my friend Poupie sent me the pictures she took of Ambroisie (my light grey Raspberry with Asella's make-up and outfits) at the LDoll

Now she has a steampunk look and white short hair, I will take pictures ASAP. :)

    41. I felt lucky to get one of those extra dolls. Too bad it´s no good light at all in this time of year, even in midday it´s not bright. But here is a dark pic of the new arrival. I had thought the name Iris before but after all, I named her Livia as somehow she made me think of Liv Tyler... I´m not sure this is the style that will stay, but at least something. She came with beautiful dark brown eyes but as many of these girls have light eyes that come up and show so well, I may try some others on her later. So far it´s very pretty, just makes the pic even more dark.

I´m wondering about the translucent shade of the resin... It wasn´t french resin, right? I hope not. I somehow wished it would have been more solid NS, like my Rhubarbe is, but I like this girl like crazy already.

    42. Hi, no this is not French resin. It looks more translucent because it is entirely polished. Actually the resin is made here in the USA. And yes, she is only available from Jpopdolls.

    43. Thanks for quick answer! It´s good news for me, as I´m always a bit wary about the french resin. I wonder if I make a body blush or fix the face-up, would the shine go away?

Here you can see the difference between the normal skin of handmade Asella´s Rhubarbe and Jpopdolls Raspberry. Both of them are lovely though, but I was a bit surprised there was this big difference inside the same colour.

Doesn´t she look like a big sister here? And Rhubarbe´s head is actually slightly bigger and for sure more round than Raspberry´s is.

    44. Hi, of course the more MSC you spray, the more matte the doll becomes. Asella uses a resin she buys in France. All resin starts out very matte, and shines up as you sand and polish...the the more spray, the more matte the finish.

    45. I absolutely adore my Gigi!

    46. I love Elf Raspberry! But again I have no money! *SOB!!* Is it at all possible that will be a few more runs of these girls?

Also- is it possible to get the dolls matte/unpolished?

    47. I don't know about NS girl but my tan one is completely matte. She doesn't have a shiny spot on her.

    48. My grey Rasberry (human, special cast by JPop for Asella) isn't shiny either. The resin is between matte and satin, super soft and natural looking (well, if they were grey humanoïds! ^^ )

    49. Thanks for liking my Livia! She is the loveliest and I´m very happy with her, only the translucent shine and yellowish normal skin colour were a bit of surprise for me. I´m glad to know the matte sprey might help and I will very likely make her a body blush and add a bit up her face-up to get it better for my likings. We´ll see how it will be then!

I tried a bit different look on her yesterday, though very likely it will not stay like this. Must buy some new eyes to try! I think the more light look helps a bit taking pics of her. I will take the comparison pics soon too, I already took some comparison pics of Raspberry with Minifee, but haven´t posted them here yet.

Nimrod, your Gigi is precious! I love her shy look in that pic!

KatjaDraco, I have been waiting for light tan, too, but couldn´t wait any more. ^_^ NS version is my another favourite too, and I´m so happy I was lucky to catch one.

Prege, I suppose there is no heads for sale alone, at least not by Jpopdolls. The body is so lovely though I suggest you to have the whole doll. :)

    50. You might try following the Resin Cafe's forums - sometimes they put updates about the next colors in there, but so far with Asella's dolls they've been pretty tight-lipped about what to expect. And just to make sure, you are hoping for a light tan or white elf version? Because if its one thing I do know about Jpop, they don't release the exact same doll in the same color twice, and there has already been a white human version, unless I'm mistaken (I think she was called 'fair skin' so maybe a pure white one is a possibliilty)

    51. Hi all...since it is not allowed to talke about sales in the discussion thread, if you want to ask about Rhubarb, colors...pm or email me....

On the resin, this is not slick shiny resin, it is Matte, or satin finish. It is not as Matte as Asella makes, but her's is very super ultra matte. This resin is more like what I would call matte satin finish. And on busts, right now human is big, and elf is small, but I have learned never to say never.

    52. I made a body comparison thread with Raspberry and Minifee, in the case it helps people considering the Raspberry. :)

      Here it is: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...aspberry-body-comparison-(warning-nude-dolls)

I think it is allowed to take some comparison pics along with Rhubarbe too, as long as there is an on-topic doll in the same photo? I will take pics of them later. And in the case it´s not allowed, I will add pics in my Flickr then. Just when I find some time for a photoshoot. :)

    53. Hum, I have some old pics with comparison shots. Raspberry on pics are handmade, but she is the same as manufactured dolls
      you can see here
