Would love more info on these too. They got me curious. o.o

 

1) Does anyone know if their resin more closely matches Volks resin or CP, etc?
Apparently different batches seem to come up matching different types of resin - I remember someone saying that they had an IZ that matched the CH body, but my IZ head matches CP body perfectly. And the neck hole was a perfect fit for the CP boy body - Volks neck is too thick.
2) Are the dolls pictured standard editions which can be bought anytime, or am I going to have to pounce quickly?
All Kawainino heads are done in limited run quantities - once they sell out, that's it, you won't be able to get them again. (Ando for example I hear was only 50 heads) I've heard that they sell very quickly in the Korean market when they come out, so yeah, pounce! XD Good luck!
3) I know Iz... but there seem to be two editions of him - normal-eye Iz and a dreaming version?
There is a dreaming Iz, dreaming Anna and dreaming Ando.

I have an Anna head staring at me, all sad and body..iless. Anna isn't a standard head(That I know of.)--I found mine through the Marketplace here(Mad, mad love for dishlaga.).

I was curious about resin matches as well, for when I can afford a body. ^_^;

The middle doll looks exactly like my chracter Kip.

Please someone find out if they ship internationally, the probability of an English site etc.

Well, that middle one was down the bottom of the order page, so I'm assuming he was one of the early molds - ie, he won't be coming back in stock unless she does a re-run. >_<;

... and nolimenoscurvy! *hits self on head* I think you're right! It is Ando... Oh, I'm so stupid. I should have seen that one, seeing he's not any of the other dolls pictured in the shop. lol. He looks really different in different face ups though!

(and, if he is an Ando, sorry Wrapped, there were only 50 of those heads made. ops: )

 

I just ordered Momo's head, u will need to use a Korean shopping service for that. I am planning on putting the head on a CP body.

I know Sher has an IZ head on CP Lishes body and she says it matchs nicely..

For the mean time only Sleeping IZ and Momo heads are available to order. All othe heads including the most sought after Ando are out of stock and u could only get them on secondry market..

 

I would like to know, too - I would love to get Momo.

I'm super duper in love with Ando, but I wanted to try a LH body...is that gonna work? I love the masculinity of the LH boy bodies, but I think I read somewhere that they are shorter then the CP ones. Can anyone give me some info on this? Ahh, it's gonna be tough, but I'm on the prowl...

 

Has this site been added to new section - very stunning and amazing sculpts.

I added an order for momo too at http://visavis.us/ she is adorable as are her cute teeth! such a nice detailed sculpt and she looks very different from one picture to another in the gallery which is fun. So everyone will be quite unique.

So we are thinking she will work with a cp girl body and a volks girl SD body? as I have volks girls I think it would be fun to have a Lutz body for a change, small bust if there is one its been so long since I looked at the lutz site.

 

I read through some previously posted stuff, and know that Kawainino molds sit SD/SD13 bodies. I'm looking to start saving for a boy body for my Anna head, and wanted to know if anyone had any information on what companies had a good resin match.

i have an iz head on a lishe body and the resin match is as near perfect as it gets... I don't notice even a slight bit of difference.

 

I have a kawaiinino IZ head on a PURESKIN normal volks SD 10 boy body and I can't tell the difference... XDDD

 

Oh shit that Momo head is sold out

I left a order message for Sienna and she took a long time to reply and finally tells me its sold out. Says have to wait till next order period I wonder when that will be?

Does anyone know another service other than Sienna I need someone that can order fast next time as if days go by as happened this time it can be too late.

 

I have an Ando on a pureskin sd13 boy body, and the head is noticeably pinker than the body *in photographs*. It's hard to tell just looking at him... This is the second sd13 body I've had, also pureskin, and they've both been yellower than the KN resin. ^^; I want to try a CP body sometime in the future.

Volks and CP being spoken for, I've heard of someone using a CH body (!!) and having a good match.. Kawainino resin does vary. ops:

I was the one who used a CH body! It was a perfect match to CH regular skin, but as others have said, the resin color can vary from batch to batch. :grin:

I have an Iz head, about to be customized as a girl, and got her a Customhouse Choa body ... it came today, and isn't close at all. The head is much 'pinker than the body' which is more 'beige with yellow tones'...

Does anyone want to trade a Customhouse body for a SOO regular body. I like the Soo (smaller bust) body better than Lishe's...?

I have an Ando head on a SD13 girl body~ What I found is that Ando/Iz/Anna batch of resin are different. Iz and Anna apparently can suit CP bodies. I put my Ando head on a CP body and it was too dark. Alot of trial and error~

 

My Iz head is a dead match for my CP boy body in tone, and fits the neck perfectly. But, as people have said, it seems to vary a lot depending on batches - of the heads, and the body.

 

I would like to thank everyone who has replied! This has been extremely helpfull.

 

Does anyone know of any bodies that would match decently that have a one piece torso?

 

Err, this thread looks pretty dead, but I didn't see another Ninodoll one anywhere else, sooo. I guess I'll ask here, heh.^^ I was just curious if Ninodoll still releases their head molds, and if so, when are their ordering periods?

 

There's usually an order period in the spring and one in the fall--or at least there has been the last couple of years. The heads also pop up in the marketplace--that's where I've gotten all of mine, since my having money and the order periods never seem to coincide.

Unfortunately, I've missed the ordering period for this january...T_T When will the next one be? Around may perhaps? (I'm guessing from the time periods between the last two ordering periods...correct me if I'm wrong DX) I'm hoping it is, since by then I can probably order a boy for him.

Hey, can somebody tell me if ninodoll brought out 2 different versions of Ando? I've seen andos with closed mouths (that's the version I want...) but then it seems that the ando ninodoll is selling at the moment has slightly open mouth. Does anybody know anything about this?

 

I, too seemed to have missed the pre-order period and now am chomping at the bit for the next one, hoping like mad that I'll be able to get a Bada and Namu head. they really are both stunning. (fingers crossed for May or June Pre-orders opening up)

 

Also, the general vote seems to be sd10 bodies for these heads-does anyone know of sd13 works as well or no?

I have totally fallen in love with these heads! Can anyone tell me about the sculptor? On a great many of them I see similarities to the Obitsu Haruka head (my all time favorite doll head). I am getting a Sukryu, who has a very similar mouth and jawline - love that mouth! I applaud the talent of this person - the heads are really nice!

I don't know much about her, but one thing I know about her is she was the first who can get a success on selling her own sculpture in personally in Korea. Before her, there were only some companies, for example Volks, Luts, and dod, so there were a few molds and limit of choices unlike these days. It was rare to reproduce original sculpture made of clay or sculpy to urethane resin because there were less information about Urethan reproducing in BJD widely. After her success on her first mold, IZ, more people tried to reproduce their original sculpture to molds, and some of them start enterprises. Therefore Korean BJD business circle has been getting more various.

Sooo is anyone getting a Ninodoll head for the current ordering period? I'm pondering to buy an Um.Pyo head, he's just too adorable but there are no price listings on the site atm. Can anyone tell me what their Ninodoll head cost?

 

Wow, this thread hasn't seen any action in a while! Just thought I'd pop in to share a photo of my Bada, Liang. He's on a Doll Family H NS-Y body. Here he's with his best friend Paul (Crobidoll Zion).

 

I'm sorry to be dragging up such an old post, but I am kinda desperate! Does anyone have more information about these heads? How much do they cost, when are the ordering periods? There is NO information available anywhere, and I would so like to get a Ninodoll Shampoo head!

Hi Meike, glad there are still people interested in Ninodoll dolls. I have an Um.Pyo head and I absolutely adore him! Too bad that people seem to lose interest in them. Here is the official website: http://order.bjd.in/nino/ Just keep checking the site to see the next ordering period, they are pretty rare though, about once or twice a year. I PMed visavis here on DoA about her next preorder, just to make sure though lol.
About prices, I don't quite remember but I think an SD head was about $130 without shipping. Keep in mind that this is one person doing everything, from sculpting to casting to selling. I can wholly recommend this company though, the quality is amazing and the transaction was flawless. I hope I can spam my boy soon once I get him his body (I plan to get him a Doll Leaves body).
Oh and thank you so much solitary agent, for keeping this thread alive, I adore your boy! Bada was a close second choice when ordering my Um.Pyo.

I hope I'll manage to get my Shampoo head next time the ordering period comes around. As the last period was in September, I think we'll have to be patient for quite some months... Oh well, gives me time to save up for the body. What body do you have your Um.Pyo head on?

 

Sorry for my late reply. I still don't have a body for my Um.Pyo head tbh. But I'm hoping to order a Luts Senior Delf body next year, I have done a lot of research and I hope the Luts resin is a passable match. What body are you planning on?
You know, I think the Ninodoll website hasn't been updated for some years now and that "last" preorder in September was 2010 or so. The only chance to catch the next preorder is to watch the website and the DoA news threads. But don't give up hope!

I was thinking of getting my girl the Dollstown Elf 2013 body. It suits her somehow. But that's also for next year, haha.

 

Just popping in here to say that the last preorder was in September of this year, so definitely don't lose hope! She has still been making her dolls, but only on preorder, once or twice a year. So keep an eye on the company news board, she'll post there the next time she has one open (probably! I really want a few of her sculpts as well, so I'm really hoping she'll give us notice if ever she decides to stop producing her beautiful dolls

Zomboid: when was your head cast? Because I have a Bada head on an SDF body, but the Bada head is from a different batch (newer) than the Um.Pyo, Woo.U and Sukryu heads that I have... He matches my SDF body perfectly, though I can't be certain my SDF body hasn't yellowed at least a smidge.

Solitary agent: would you happen to have any photos of your Bada nekkie? I'm wondering what the resin match and proportion are like because the SDF body is a bit too buff for my Bada's character (plus another doll shares it with him)

Thanks! Yeah, it's always such a hit or miss thing with resin matching for heads from artist companies that don't produce bodies, especially when it comes to older dolls. It's so nice that you managed to get a good match!

 

Is anyone going to get a head in the current preorder period? I might.... but I shouldn't since I don't have a job this semester >>; I'll most likely wait for the next one.

Wooooo, preordering is open!! What a wonderful way to start the new year! *happy dance* Yes, I am going to get my Shampoo head!

 

I didn't think they'd open preorders again until May giving me time to save for a head, so spent up my doll fund the day before this preorder opened... My partner was a sweetie and said I could use the money from our holiday savings and pay itback between now and May as if it were the money going into my doll fund. WHOOP!

But couldn't decide whether to get Bada or Juri - and was told the price was low enough I could order both so that I could decide once I see them in person (Surely my partner realizes this is more likely to mean a second Ninodoll will be joining the family, needed than one Ninodoll and selling on the surplus head...?!? )

Anyhow, I sent the order e-mail but don't have any idea if it's been received - has anyone had a reply to their order email yet?

If you haven't received a reply, chances are she didn't receive your order. It happened with mine - she knew I'd sent it because we PM'd a few times, and she contacted me here asking me if I'd received a reply from her, and if I hadn't, could I please resend my order. I did, using my second email address, and I just received her Paypal invoice, so all has been taken care of now. She's visavis here on DoA.
