Nikon 100mm 2.8 Series E

I just thought I should post something about this lens, because I'm so impressed by it. I got mine for free last week (it used to be my dad's, and had been sitting in his closet for a couple decades) and tried it on my D300, and wow, the results at f/4 are really impressive. As an example, you can shoot a full-body shot of your doll from across the room, and zoom in and see details of the faceup that are hard to see from up close with the naked eye.

Anyway, if you've got a Nikon camera body that works with manual lenses (D7000, D300 or better) and come across this lens at a good price, don't hesitate to pick it up. It's brilliant for stuff like doll photography, especially if you can use Live View to help focus.
