Hey everyone! Excited to join this community. Ive been 3d printing for about 5 years now and am excited to try printing more and more bjds as time goes on. Still new to bjd's in general but not to 3d printing. If you every have any questions or need help with 3d printing bjd's let me know and I will help you out.
Welcome! I too look forward to seeing some of your work! That said, my first week on this site I got in trouble because I hadn't realized a certain doll I talked about was off-topic. I don't want you to have the same problem! Printed dolls are considered off-topic, as casting is one of the requirements for being on-topic. Off topic dolls go in Brigadoon, and I'll look forward to following your creations there!
Welcome! 3D printing has come so far in the past few years - I am very interested in seeing how it continues to develop, especially in regard to bjds. It really is exciting to think that dolls can be printed! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do. dm_sof is right about the rules of DOA, so if you might want to check those out if you haven't read them yet, but Brigadoon is open to sharing off-topic dolls, so you should be able to share there. And also, there is a doll-making section of DOA that you could look into. I believe that it is mostly for dolls being sculpted with the intention of casting them, but the rules may not be that strict (I need to check them). Good luck with the printing!
Welcome back! 3D printing bjds sounds really neat! I wonder if it would also work with broken or spare parts? Ex say the head cap on a doll breaks or goes missing, you could always print and mold a fitted copy! Or if a hand breaks!? This is really neat and I wish you nothing but the best!
