Hey guys, I'm John from Australia and I'm 16... I'm on the exodus of peeps who lurked in DoA's artist's forum for sculpting their own dolls. Basically, I love the creating process of the BJD and I would love to one day see my dreams of creating a 50cm merman come to fruitation. Alas, I have NOT found any clay strong or durable enough for what I want without either costing me ALOT of money or clogging up my (lack of) tools. I have however created a bjd tiny water Monkey named twix... He's much shorter than a puki, so he has no elbows at all. He's made from Stone ware clay and his shoulders and wrists have snapped of me alot ;__; I have a looooong way for sculpting dolls, but I wanna learn... Also, I have completely resculpted the awful bobobie elbows on my doll... It's now double jointed so I'm much happier... (anyone recommend a good paint for milliput?) I have since added elbow caps so the arms do not bend so far back... Anyways, here to learn.
