USA New York City Meetup

Will be at the February meet for sure, trying to bring a couple of dolls.

 

I should be there, assuming I don't get sick again. It's been too long since I've gone to the NYC meet.

 

Hey, so last time I was at the meet I asked some people about dying a doll. I was given some very helpful info, but because it's my first time trying anything like this, I just don't trust myself.
It's a brand new doll and I'm afraid to even unstring it!

So I'm wondering, is there anyone in our group who has done it before, and can either
A) help me do it
or B) let me pay them to do it for me?

(Even if I can't get help with the dying, I'm hoping I can at least get help with the stringing. I never did this level of messing with my dolls before. I've always been so afraid of breaking the hook holes in the wrists and feet! And this new doll is strung soooo tight! )

 

Many of us bring tools with us to the meet. Dolls tend to get strung pretty tightly. Even I've been a little concerned by it. The resin seems to put up with the tightness, though.

 

I'm all packed up and ready for this Saturday. Assuming I don't get sick again and NJ Transit behaves, I should be there!

 

I'll be popping by to drop off my donation for DollCon.

 

I have been finally able to get an off day from work and I am so excited for this month's meetup! I need to think about which dolls to bring

 

l am going to the meet !

Hey guys. I haven’t been to this new meetup space. I think I’m here. Is it by escalators and there’s a sushi spot and a Dunkin’ Donuts? And there’s lots of green metal tables made of like strips of metal?

 

You are fashionably early. I forget what is around but it's in the basement. Dunkin sounds like it might be on the ground level but I'm not sure.

I'm still a while from being there. Still gotta have breakfast.

 

Haha yeah I’m always early lol. I just wanted to make sure I was in the right spot. I definitely am underground. I had to come down the escalator which is like in the dead center of the room. And I can look up and see outside to the ground level.
