I started working on this cutie about a week ago and though there are really very many things to perfect I just wanted to see what everybody thought about Nitya thus far.
Just for background information Nitya is an Indian name that means Eternal... and since elves according to Tolkien were supposed to be immortal or eternal I decided to name her as such.
I hope you enjoy these pictures and my current work... it has definitely been a stress reliever.
      Onto pics of Nitya:

    2. It's hard to give any pointers at this stage because you will take care of alot when you refine the sculpt and sand it down. Her proportions look good and I think the roundness of her head is sweet. It'll also be easier to tell once she's dry. But good job so far

    3. here's a little update of how it's going:
I've hollowed out her eyes and head and put in some pretty blue eyes...she still needs to be sanded a bit

    4. :D She's gorgeous! you sculp so well! i can't wait to see her completely finished!!!!

      Kain: Ooooo she nakie!

    5. thank you I hope it turns out the way i wan't her to i've been working on her for 2 weeks now...

    6. It does take awhile to sculpt one of these dolls, but it is so rewarding. She really is coming along nicely. There's something about her face that reminds me of someone...it's driving me crazy because I can't put my finger on it *_* The composition of the face is pretty solid, but you might want to even up the eye shapes a little more. A trick I've figured out is to take very fine sandpaper, cut it into a 2 inch square and then roll that into a tight tube and use it to gently remove excess material and to shape the eye. Remember to check the face from all angles and to use a mirror- sometimes you'll see problems in a reflection that you haven't noticed before. I can't wait to see more pictures :daisy

    7. thank you so much I did try the sand paper and it worked out great I was going for a CH choa look cuz I LOVE CHOA! but she's never in stock  but she kinda looks like a CP cory too  and then again she also looks like this little boy my sister babysits :o

    8. :daisy Yay! :daisy So give with the new pictures  It wasn't another doll she reminds me of, but an actual person. It's eluding me still *_*

    9. sorry i haven't had much time to work on her but I do promise some new pictures this upcoming weekend

    10. the pictures aren't showing up for me :( and i wanna see it! Are they no longer up on hosting or is it my computer that's being a whore?

    11. i can't see them either :(

    12. It looks like Photobucket is acting up? I keep only getting a Photobucket 404 message. That, or the URL is incorrect for the images, or the images have been deleted.

    13. i'll look into it

    14. yes someone has deleted my images... i'll try to get some up as soon as i can

    15. i definatly want to see pictures!

    16. I cannot see the lovely pictures either =/ will check back to see if they come back

    17. I wanna see your pictures! :x If you need a host for just a few pictures, please let me know. I can put just a few up for you. ^_^

    18. ack the process pictures are gone so i guess i'll just put up some pictures of the final product once she's finished

    19. bump for new project Nitya!

    20. OHH! that's spiffy <3333

    21. She has such a cute face! I particularly like her right ear, the shape is just lovely. The eyes look a little bit uneven, but hopefully that shouldn't be too hard to fix. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of her~

    22. Thanks! yeah I noticed her eyes were uneven too, I'm actually in the process of fixing the smaller one on the left(her right eye) and I agree her right ear is cuter but I'm sure I can even them out with the dremel ^_^ So far everything I've done has been by hand so I really can't wait to even her out, I have to fix her neck hole too it's going to fit mostly AR and Dollmore bodies, I'm going to cast her in resin once I've perfected her ^_^ I'll try to have pictures mid week or next weekend!

    23. Great job!

    24. Thanks Enki ^_^

    25. oh that's just too sweet....*teeth rot*
her face needs some symmetry-izing, but you've gotten EVERYTHING down pat. CONGRATS!

    26. Thanks ^_^ Yeah her nose is a bit off to one size and I need to sand down the sides of her face so it's not so round, especially since she's going to be an MSD sized head, I'd love it if more people would give me some input or suggestions, I won't feel offended it'll just give me a good idea on what I need to fix.
I know that it's impossible to notice everything when it's your own creation, I need some pessimists and optimists in here giving me advice lol^_^

      ....I'll stop rambling now :sweat
