New here! Excited to get started with my first doll!

    1. Hello everyone! I was approved literally a few minutes ago and am now lurking but thought I'd obviously introduce myself first! I've been seeing BJDs among a lot of Chinese social media which I frequent a lot (even if I don't speak the language), they are very popular among self-shippers especially, as many make BJDs of their self inserts and their favorite character - and that brought me here, lol. I would love to start with an anime style doll of my original character first and foremost, but my dream is to have dolls of my selfship and dress them up and treat them with utmost love! I hope I can fulfill this dream among the rest of you here :)

    3. Welcome! That's cool that you can enjoy the Chinese social medias even if you don't speak Chinese! I've never heard of self-shipping before (you learn something every day) but it sounds fun - a bit like creating yourself in the Sims and letting them enjoy various hobbies/occupations that you can't in real life.

      I don't know if you are looking for a vinyl doll or a resin doll, but I have seen more anime-style resin sculpts popping up (which is neat!). I hope you are seeing some options that will work for your characters!
