Aesthetics New face up

    1. I did another 2 face up(s) in last ten days! Here are them.
      My 1/3 size face up practicing head is on his way, so I guess I finally don't need to do practice only on Dream.
      The fourth face up:

      The fifth face up: for this one, I tried to draw under eyelash by using brush and acrylic paint instead of color pencil) I think it would be better if I use dark brown, but I only have black for now.

      I set it in his box and took pictures with camera from top, the outcome looks better!

    2. Your faceups are so professional looking! Congrats. I know you must really be tickled. I've been working on some faceups, and I'm finding it very relaxing and fun, even I've had to redo them more times than I can count. Mine didn't turn out as well as yours have. I suppose that means I need more dolls to practice on haha. Very well done.

    3. The blushing is very nice! :D

      Critique:

      First head: The colour pencil lines are very grainy for such a small face. This can be helped by either sharpening the pencil or blending the pigment grains with a moist paint brush.

      Second head: All the lines look quite thick in scale with the face; I would suggest using a thinner brush and watering down the paints more. The lower lashes are also very long, dense and dark, which makes it look more like a solid mass from regular viewing distance; in addition to thinner lines for the lashes, fewer or paler strands would help.

      The lines of the second one are maybe cleaner, but I still actually like the first one the most. The colors look so pretty and kind of realistic, it's like a painting ^^

      Thank you for advice. Actually I've sharped the pencil... and the brush I used is the smallest one. i guess it's the problem of color using and my skill :sweat I will try to make it lighter and thinner next time

      I may combine the lines and skin like blushing together next time! I'm glad you like it.
