I started a new BJD project(SD girl doll) this week. The hands and feets are made from prosculpt (polymer clay) because its better to handle for the small details. The torso is made from ladoll (air drying clay) and its not yet finished. I plan to cast the doll when all parts are finished. Here are the first photos of my project: cheers, lydia
Oh My!! everythigns looking so good!! cant wait to see what the head will look like!! Thats really is amazing, the hands and feet are so detailed!! you are very talented ^_^
thanks for compliments I'm not so good in mold making so I hope the casting mold will also be good to get detailed hands and feets. I will post new photos as soon as possible cheers, Lydia
Hey ! it looks very good ! And I wanted to tell you, you remember I sent a message to a french shop to know if they could send resin internationaly, but they never answered... !
Hi Enaibi yes for sure I remember you I thought as much that the french shop did not answered your request. It's a pitty because I would try this resin very much Many thanks for your help! cheers Lydia
hello again the first pics of the head. It seems that the eyes a little bit different... what do you think? cheers, Lydia
i think her face is pretty but the area between the right side of her face and her left eye (facing the camera) is too wide
Wow, great job with the hands!! and the face it's beautyfull too! i luv her lips! BUT! there is a strange thing in her nose.. it's like right part (facing the camera) its more little than the left part, i mean the right wing is closer to the nose than left is. But i thing that you did a great joB!!
Wow!! I can't wait to see more of this girl. Will you be casting some of her to sell? Those hands and feet are amazing!!!!!! Her face is going to be stunning when you are finished.
Hello! The hands and feets are very realistic and beautiful ^^ I think the eyes are too close to each other. The lips are cute. Please carry on your new project!
Thanks for all helpful suggestions here are the pics with modified nose and right side of the head. And now I have to add the ears I tink I have also to modify the breasts for a more natural look And then sanding, sanding, sanding cheers, lydia
That's what was missing--ears! Ah yes, I am so very ditsy! I luv the feet! The hands are fabulous too, but for some reason I loveeee the feet! *squee!
Oh do you get your proportions correct? I've always want to try and make a doll, but I can never seem to get the joints the right size.
Wow such amazing details in the hands and feet. The head looks just like a girl I went to school with called Anna
I'm glad you like my doll Right now I don't have any plans to sell, because I want first find out which materials are best for molding and casting.
The hands and feet are breath taking! The rest is beautiful as well, but the hands and feet!!! Brilliant job!
thanks all for such positive feedback I ordered some material for molding and casting and will try out soon As soon as I have news I will post some pics have a great day! Lydia

thanks lamira where do you live in the Netherlands? The border to the Netherlands is only one hour by car to where I live in Germany. cheers, Lydia
I finished the first resin head today. Maybe the skin colour have to be a bit darker. The body is not finished yet, so at the picture you see the head on sooahs body.
She looks really beautiful. It's really inspiring to see other dolls in the works on here, I just hope my doll project turns out as well.
Nice detail on the feet and hands--I'm impressed! Your doll is coming along nicely. Are you planning on making your own head, as well? Thanks for sharing
WOW! is awesome! the hands and feet are very realistic and the torso is very beautiful, too!!!!! i want to see more!
Hurray for the first resin head! It looks really really good, I love the photograph too! The skin is kinda pale, but i have to admit it looks really good on her, especially with the wig.
I aggree with that. I have to do some tests regarding the right mix for the resin and the color. I think a bit darker will be better.
