Never Have I Ever...

Not specifically hands, but I have been known to dislocate an elbow or two to get my guy's arms in the correct position...and ankles, knees, mobility thighs, wrists.....

Never have I been able to tame synthetic wigs; there's always that one fly-away on their face.

 

I have managed to tame them finally with help of wig mist and oil sprays.though it does make them feel a bit funny if you overuse it.

Never have i ever kissed my doll in secret just because its so cute

 

Me either but I do pet their hair and hug them.

Never have I ever bought two of the same sculpt. (still have two sets of twins due to heads being damaged and things but never bought them )

 

I have. Re-bought DZ Raymond since constantly blushing his head from WS to PS was too much of a pain.

I have! I really wanted it for the limited bonus head. The actual head and the outfit have languished in storage unused since I got them.

Never have I ever found a doll I knew I wanted at first sight. Love at first sight seems impossible for me, I need to check all the specifications first and imagine what character I can create with the doll, and what outfits it could wear, etc.

 

Oh, I have. As a n00b in the hobby, I was looking for a first doll that I could look at and go, "Yeah, she's worth ALL them $$$'s," but didn't really find one like that. Mostly ones that I thought were very pretty, but couldn't really justify the price to myself. That is, until I found that gentle Spidergirl sculpt... I instantly went "SHUTUP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

Never have I ever imagined how my doll would speak. Not speaking in a hallucinatory way; more of like, how people get really intricate with their character's backstories. Never have I thought something like "Oh, his voice would sound like this actor," or, "Her voice would sound scratchy but high," etc. etc.

 

Actually ... for those of my crew who are singers, I know exactly what their voices sound like. For the others I have a vague idea. But I guess I'm a backstory freak.

Never have I ever had a doll held in customs for more than two weeks.

 

Neither have I...then again, I live in US and I have never paid for customs.

I took some of my dolls across the country on vacation with me, but only one of them came outside for pictures when I was at DisneyWorld.

I have! I made boxers, socks, a pair of MSD jeans that turned out quite good but somehow got lost (can't find them) and a simple white shirt that I never finished (picture). Everything by hand....that was like 8 years ago and I never tried to make clothes again.

Never have I ever had a problem with the post office, all my dolls and doll related items always got home with no hassle at all.

 

I have had minor problems with the post office, they misplaced a package with a body once, but only for one day and they called me as soon as they found it and they did apologize, so it's not too bad. I have had more problems with other delivery services, though. If the only shipping option is something like UPS I hesitate to buy.

Never have I ever bought a doll that does not fit with the rest of my crew (yet).

 

I'm not sure it is possible for a doll to 'not fit' into my crew; I've owned some pretty diverse faces. But I've certainly not bonded with my share of dolls. Maybe Mirodoll Thunder or Leekeworld Ariana? Both were a good deal different in person than I was expecting.

Never have I ever done anything irreversibly permanent to any of my dolls.

 

I have. I bevelled out the neck opening on a head to make a hybrid work ... well, I guess it's kind of reversible-ish, because I could always add some epoxy putty if I decided I needed a smaller neck opening again.

Never have I ever taken my dolls on a (holiday) trip that lasted longer than two weeks.

WELL, I changed my doll's hair color a few times... conceptually, though I don't know if that counts x'D. Originally, I was stuck between either making her a ginger, or a light brunette, giving her a distinct European feel. Mostly because I bought her in white resin, so decided to pick hair colors that vibed well with super-paleness. THEN I learned of the possibility of dyeing my doll, and now I'm set on leaning her toward a Southeast Asian ethnicity like my own! So I did a complete flip from light hair colors, to dark brown/black!

Never have I ever.. had my doll's character become enemies with someone else's doll's character. Well technically, I've never had my doll's character do ANYTHING with another doll's character x'D. But I'd love to hear if people have fun making rivalries between their dolls!

 

No animosity between my doll and anyone else's (I really want to get into RP-ing though, it would be great practice for novel writing) but I do have one doll who's the nemesis of another doll I intend to buy. Their backstory is complicated, but that same doll also has a run-in with one of my other dolls that ends a lot less than well, so... He's great at making enemies. My RD Jack, being largely based of Jack the Ripper, is not exactly the friendliest...
