    4. I got the blonde wig for my Yuja hoping Yuja's brown bob would suit my new grumpy Dubu boy. They both look awful so I have to get new Monique wigs for the three of them.

    7. I got the sleepy Dubu - though I think he looks more grumpy. I already had the first Dubu and Yuja. The girls are called Mabel and Lucie so I think the boy must be Attwell even though, as I'm English, I'm not used to surnames as forenames.

      I think that's great that you got the sleepy Dubu, too. That way Attwell will definitely be different than your other Dubu and will have his own little personality. :)

    11. Lisa - she's lovely, congrats!! I redressed my Yuja last night in an outfit I received as a Christmas pressie from Miriam (Mimisstuff), I'll get a photo later. I really love these dolls.

      Hilarie - a 'grumpy' Dubu? Can't wait to see, my Dubu Mabel is grumpy enough already!!

    13. You still have Mabel then? That makes me feel a bit guilty. We had the same idea at the same time but you were the first to post it so I tried to call mine Lucie instead - but Yuja insisted that was her name so I gave in when you said one of your Dubus was leaving. It seems Dubu IS Mabel (at least if you're English from a certain background). Attwell is definitely grumpier still.

    14. I've actually just been turning my other Dubu into a boy today, called Edward I think, rather than rehome him/her. I have a lack of boy clothing though, so that's something to focus on next year. And yes, Mabel was always staying, she's such a strong character. My Yuja is supposed to still be called Maud, but oddly, as a blonde she wants to be called Lucy, so we can both feel bad!!!

    15. I like Edward's dungarees and hat, kayjay. Attwell is wearing rather too summery shorts today as the Spampy puki outfit wouldn't go over his hands. So we have two Mabels, Lucy, Lucie, Edward and Attwell between us - hopefully they'll all meet up one day. It could be a riot!

    24. it's short for chesterton. i name a lot of my kids after authors or characters in books.

      who knows it may come back into use again. i'm surprised at how many of new babies i know are getting what we thought of as old fashioned names

    25. Someone after my own heart. Of my iMdas Harriet, Prune (Prunella), Dorcas, Penny, Tuppence,Bunny, Martha and Rosie were named after characters in books I'd been reading. My Timps Mabel, Lucie and Attwell are named after the illustrator whose characters they resemble.
