I put this girl away for about a year or so after I became very frustrated. Lately I've felt like I should finish her and so I got her out again and have resumed work. I noticed right away after taking the photos that the eyelid on the left is a might puffy, lol! That has since been sanded. Right now I'm finding the brow/eyelid bit very frustrating. Argh, well just let me know what jumps out at you...she's still very much a WIP. View attachment 245 View attachment 246 View attachment 247
View attachment 248 I've done a little work on the head since my last post, and I've been fiddling trying to get the lips right. I've thought of a specific question I could ask now as well..... When it comes to sculpting lips, it seems I have difficulty in not making them look a little pinched or pursed. I've noticed that if I make the lower lip a little less wide and make the corners of the mouth outside the shape of the lips....things improve greatly. I'm just a novice sculptor, so perhaps someone can give me advice on how to make lips look....er ...relaxed? natural? XD haha I don't know how else to describe it.
I think her lips look a little pursed because there is such a defined line there. its like a sharp edge on her upper lip. maybe sand that smoother or add a bit of clay to make it more full? she looks good though, even like that. very sweet little thing she has going :P
Thanks for the advice! I've been making some minor adjustments to her lips now and I think they are headed in the right direction. I'll post another pic after I get a little further along.
Hi . Her cheek on the left side (my left when i face the monitor) looks a bit more rounded than the right. That was the only thing that jumped out to me i love her nose! Too cute! I agree with Higgy in terms of making the upper lip a bit more fuller other than that your face sculpt is looking pretty cool.
