Specific Doll Need Help Identifying A Doll

    1. Hello! This is my second post here. I thought I had figured out the sculpt of a doll that I liked, but after closer examination, there were visible differences.

      Here are some images that I found. I actually found pictures of what appeared to be the same doll from two different websites, both in clothing listings. I included screenshots of the head sculpt from different angles, as well as the body that was used (I'm fond of the body sculpt as well).

      At first, I thought it was Switch Kaien, but once I examined the original photos more closely, I noticed some differences in the brow, lips, nose bridge, and face shape. Then someone else told me it might be from Morolab2. After examining some of their sculpts, Nile looks the closest, but Ikyung and Lazuli also look similar. I can't tell if it's one of these, or if it was sculpted by another artist entirely.

      I am very fond of this sculpt, and I am extremely grateful for any help one might choose to offer.

    2. None of your pictures are showing, I'm afraid. Are they less than 1000 pixels on a side? 800x600 tends to be the best size for forum posting.

    3. The image links you provided are not valid links. An image link would end in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif or other image suffixes. You've likely provided links to the pages the images are embedded in. If you edit your post to change the IMG codes to URL, people would at least be able to view the embedding pages.

      Please note, however, that when I attempted to view the Imgur page, there was a 403 message that Imgur was "over capacity".

    4. I edited it! I decided to remove a few of the screenshots, just because they were redundant and showed the sculpt from the same angle.

      Thank you for telling me how to add the images! I edited it so that the images show up.

    6. Oh there ya go, some of them are showing now!

      I think it's Doll Chateau who has done hands like that? I could be wrong. But I'm not sure about the face. (People do that sometimes; put a head from one company on a body by another to get a look they like. Matching resin colors and size and proportions can be tricky, but a lot of my own dolls are Hybrids like that)

    10. Yeah, I think those don't match up now that I look closer. My second best guess would be Hades or Evening.Hades? The eyes remind me of Yuli as well, but I think the nose is too curved in 3/4 views.

    11. I think I found him! Monochrome D Head? In stock at Dolk!

      Edit - correction. D Head has teeth. Monochrome Ray does not, though.

    12. The lips appear to be a bit more downturned, and the philtrum looks a bit too long. Sorry for being so picky D: I am very happy to have your help.

      These look pretty different. Both of their jaws are too wide, faces too rectangular, noses too small, philtrums too long...they're also both quite smiley. They're both interesting sculpts, but they don't really match too well to me. Thank you for helping, though!!

      I apologize for this pickiness. I have a limited amount of money and I know that once I save up enough, I will want to make sure to get the exact thing I want. I don't want to settle, because I know I'd end up regretting it,,,

    13. Hades' philtrum does look a bit more slanted, and I am not sure the eyes are correct. Lip shape can change a bit with faceup and contouring though, since the blank Hades has slightly upturned lip corners.

      Your frontal shot also has a more downturned angle, making it harder to pinpoint the true shape of the chin. I am, however, fairly certain this is an Illusion Garden sculpt based on the overall features, probably between Johan and Yuli. Have updated with a new Johan comparison above and another with more photos of the closed-eye version from different perspectives. Best of luck!

    14. I agree with Deux Silences that the head is Illusion Garden Johan. I've looked at tons of photos of IG boys on Weibo (they're wildly popular in China), and of all the IG sculpts he's definitely Johan.
      I'm not sure of the body. Many of the pics in the OP are broken, I'm afraid.

    15. Ooh, yeah, the face-ups can definitely change the whole vibe of the sculpt. Now you're making me think that it is Johan, hahah! I was unable to find more photos from a more head-on angle, so I have none of those to offer, unfortunately.
