TLDR I need help finding dresses inspired by the 50s/ 60s for my yosd Spoiler: Details I was browsing Pinterest and I saw this lovely illustration by Tasia (@_tasiams on Twitter). The first thing I thought of was my IMDA 3.0 girl Angelique that will be coming home sometime this fall. Pinterest did as Pinterest does and sent me down a rabbit hole of children’s sewing illustrations from the 50s and 60s. Something about the illustration style reminds me so much of IMDA 3.0s . Anyways :P does anyone know where I can get dresses that kind of look like this: Sorry for rambling! Any input is welcome (I might need to learn how to sew)
Something like these? BJD Clothes Yosd Plain Dress for 1/6 1/4 MSD BJD Doll Outfit | Etsy Yosd MSD Plaid Overall Dress Shirt Socks Set 1/6 1/4 BJD | Etsy Oak Leaf Dress for Yosd Honey Delf 25-28 Cm. | Etsy
I bet you can find some vintage doll clothing that could fit or be tweaked to fit. Cissette or Lil Miss Revlon clothes might work but you’d have to do some additional research.
These are very cute dresses! I agree they suit Imda dolls perfectly with their shapely little legs (I have Angelique pre-ordered too!). Looking at the pictures, these dresses are not hard to make for a doll seamstress. Perhaps you can commission someone to do it. Imda has their doll measurements basic bodice patterns online.
The second one is absolutely perf definitely going to grab one of these. Super cute & the accessories are so charming. I gonna get some of these shoes! I would have never thought of this thank you so much When in doubt trust professionals. I know if I try to sew something I'm going to stab my fingers. That being said I am literally referencing sewing illustrations there is probably a way to convert regular proportions to Dolly proportions, huh? Thank you guys! With your help my girl is going to have a nice wardrobe
