Has anyone ever seen national costumes for (slim) MSD girls apart from kimono, cheongsam and dirndl (that can be found ar DGRequem at Etsy for example)? I have an urge to sew something along those lines and can't find any patterns. Anything is a go really: Bulgarian, Korean, Swedish, Tan era (yes, Loongsoul, I'm looking at you), etc. I've seen some examples of human sized pattern on the Internet, but it doesn't help me much. It turns out I'm terrible at scaling down and adopting patterns. Help?
For the Swedish outfit, look at the components of the national dress, and then find a MSD dress pattern that's the same lines. It's really a simple outfit. If you'd rather make one of the Norwegian bunad, let me know, and I can help you out. For Tang dynasty, which particular clothing are you interested in? Do you have photos? I can probably help you figure that out, too.
@PearlZenith thanks a lot! Can I write you a PM with details? As for Tang dynasty I'm thinking about the dress with a triangular piece wrapped around the waist. Something like this: https://pre00.deviantart.net/77bf/t..._hanfu_kimono_dress__by_fayra9945-d69ysb0.png I can't even figure out how many pieces each garment consists of...
Sure, go ahead and PM me. What you're looking at isn't really Tang era, it's inspired by the older Qin and Han era clothing. But I can still help you with it. Found a good overview of the outfit. If you want to alter it so the quju is shorter, that's fine. This just shows how the clothing works. Perfect Costume 天衣無縫: How to wear a Qu Ju (曲裾)?
