I have wanted a Doll Chateau Elizabeth ever since I first laid eyes on one, way back in 2013. When DC discontinued them in 2019, I kept my eyes open for one, but finding them were few and far between, not to mention one would always crop up for sale when I was broke. Imagine my surprise when one not only cropped up, but I actually had the money to put her on layaway! So that's exactly what I did, put her on layaway. I put her box opening in the 20-39cm sized dolls, since her spider body is only 33cm tall. I did not want the human body, and her feet were modded to be more spider-like, so its all good. Here's the box! The box came and it had cool decorations drawn on it! Obligatory doll and cat pics. Goofy Pichu is peeking out from under the paper as I try to get Natasha to stand. Natasha is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr What a beautiful faceup! Natasha is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr And finally, a closeup of her flower eyes. Natasha is home! by Ryuichi Sakuma, on Flickr Thank you @Kiyakotari, not only for selling her to me, but for making my experience fun! It'll be fun turning her into a version of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Ryu
I'm so glad that she made it safely, and that she's such a hit! Maybe Pichu will be more amenable if you show her that the other new doll in the house is also a cat. I am looking forward to seeing her transformation into Romanoff.
Those eyes really bring it home! She is also on my watch list, so far I have not seen a single one for sale! You were very lucky
Thank you! I know, the eyes are pretty cool, but I think I'm going to give her the same color eyes that Scarlett Johansson has, since she's going to be based on her Black Widow character. Oh yes, she's a definite hit! I'm so in love with her and her long spider legs! Its going to take me a bit as to what kind of fabric to use to cover those beautiful legs when she gets her "official" Black Widow outfit...if I decide to cover them up, that is. I have a LOT of thinking to do with this beauty. Pichu is a spoiled boy, and I think he's not liking that I'm paying attention to someone other than him. She is dangerous, all right! I'm hoping to be able to turn her into a version of Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Don't know how just yet, but its coming. Yes, her eyes, although temporary, are really stunning! My partner. @gelfling21 has already called dibs on them for a future boy that is coming in. Keep looking, @Subzerolover, I've literally been looking for Natasha for years before me having money and one coming up for sale happened at the same time. All I can say it that "it takes patience and perseverance" when looking for a grail doll, especially one that's been discontinued for a long time, like DC's Elizabeth was. Good luck! Ryu
Congratulations on obtaining the Elizabeth of your dreams! She’s lovely and I can’t wait to see what you do with her.
Thanks! Her hook feet were taken off, to give her a more true-to-life arachnid appearance. I quite like them! Thank you! Oh, she's going to be an original version of Black Widow from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I'm not sure yet how I want to look, but its fun thinking things through. Right now, I'm focusing on finding a wig and eyes for her. For now, I'm going to chronicle her in this thread: comicbook/superhero/villain/graphicnovel-inspired dolls - cosplay. I may make an actual project journal later on down the line. Ryu
Thank you! Unfortunately, her current eyes don't match what my vision for her will become. My partner has already called dibs on them for a future doll. Thank you! Ryu
