Oh good! I've been trying to get a new picture all day! But, how about an old picture?

 

My 'spicy' girl Nikkollette. Nikki, my 'sugar' girl is my avatar. They share the same body.

 

Oh my gosh, she is *gorgeous*!! Absolutely radiant!

Wow, she is really different! Is she a Heartbreak Narin sculpt? I'm trying to figure out who had closed lips like that . . .

I must take a new picture of my Narin/Narae crew tomorrow. I think these dolls are so special and so well made.

 

So has anyone received their new Naraes yet? I'm curious to see the big-chested Naraes.

 

I do have a new large bust body. I'll try to get some pictures. The large bust isn't really new. I have an old LB chest torso piece made by Narin Creative.

 

Ashbet, I can't remember for sure but think you are correct. It's been so long since I got this head and unfortunately I'm not home right now to double check. I purchased this head during Dollfair days way back when. I'll advise later if I'm wrong.

Oh, we have a new thread. Lovely boys and girls, everyone!

My N416 and N412 aren't from the new release by Bimong, but they have the large bust body. There are some photos of them in my flickr, for example. ^^


I got new eyes for Jae Sun the other day, but they're still not perfect and I have to adjust the colour lighter in Photoshop. *sigh* The eye hunt continues.

Oooh, awesome. I can see the difference between them clearly. Is it easy to find clothes for the large bust body?

Eiko82, Sadly I can't help much with clothes, since for the most part I sew my dolls' clothes myself... but for example some fitted dresses and tops that I have made for large bust Minifees are way too small for the Narae large bust. I do have one Unoa-size dress from Sadol, which is a bit tight at the bust, but it fits. The kimono that my N412 wears is from Angell-Studio... and then I also have one lovely dress sewn by my friend Yenna that was originally made for large bust Withdoll girls, which is a good fit. ^^ So generally I'd say that whatever fits large bust Unoa or Withdoll girls, should also fit the Narae large bust... but MNF-size is most likely too small. Loose shirts/tops shouldn't be a problem, though, especially if they're strechy.

Eee, thank you! SweetNeat (on Etsy) made her wig, and I combed through it with water and a wig brush -- the wig was lovely when it arrived, but I wanted to restyle it a little. She always uses really nice material, so the little curls just popped up on their own!

If I recall correctly, her coat is from Nine9Style ^__^

So many beautiful photos! And Jae Sun! He is one of my favourite Narin ever. I hope you can find the perfect eyes for him soon.

And adding to the Narin side, I took some new photos of Luaith, my N411, who just got some new horns from Sparrow's Shop on etsy.

 

I haven't posted here in aged, but finally I found some time to do a face-up on my Narae Wilgenroosje and make her a wig (which is just finished and still needs some styling). I'm not sure yet if I think the wig is too bulky. Needle felting may not be the best way to make wigs.

I do, too! I love it!

It may be partly the length that is giving you the "too much hair" impression, and perhaps making a shorter version would suit your vision better... but I think it's gorgeous just as it is!

(And, as someone with naturally curly hair that used to be as long and thick as hers, I'd say that it looks very realistic!)

 

styling wigs is very difficult but yours looks amazing! I think like Ashbet, a shorter version of the wig would looks better.
Anyways, her dress is stunning ♥♥

Narae 406

 

It's been awhile since I was here. When I go to the Art-Bimong website, it says D-Storic. Is he working with them again?

 

He just contacted them for the people who are still waiting for dolls.

 

I can't believe people are still waiting their dolls...

Has anyone tried DollHeart's MSD dress on Naraes? I just saw a MNF wearing one and fits her perfectly! I always though this size were too big for them.

 

I think DollHeart makes some things in a slim MSD size.

Art-Bimong has released a few more N406 and N40S dolls. At the moment, I can only add 4 of the N406 and 5 of the N40S to my cart. A VERY limited release!

 

hello, i wanted to know if you can still get faceplates for the narae. and where to get them from?
this is a doll im really thinking of purchasing and mainly for the fact of its multiple faceplates...
i just really wanted to know.

 

Hi! Narin/Narae have never been sold as only faceplates (Unoa sells individual faceplates.) They are sold as whole heads -- they use a faceplate system, so you can switch them interchangeably, but you can't buy the faceplate without the headback. (I have a few extra headbacks rolling around in a drawer, LOL!)

Right now, the only place to buy them is through the artist's studio: http://art-bimong.com/index.php

He is releasing small batches at a time in order to fulfill orders promptly. He "cycles" through the different faces, so if there's one you're interested in that is sold out, subscribe to his newsletter, and you'll get an announcement when he gets around to it again.

At the moment, he's not offering permanently-in-stock heads or bodies -- you just need to catch him when he's selling. He's had regular sales periods since September 2013, so you'll do best by signing up for the newsletter so that you can receive sale announcements.

Bimong is also taking custom orders. They are under the Personal Order section. But that may be a way to get a doll with extra heads or face plates. You are probably limited to the heads which are shown on the site now. He has been restoring the masters because of the wear over the years.

And, oohhhh, that's really good to know -- I'm not in a position to pounce on the offer right now, but maybe in a few months. I'm always happiest if I can limit the number of crazy international shipping fees, so trying to buy one head at a time isn't usually my cup of tea . . . but if I could buy the heads/bodies/parts of my choice, that would be amazing!

I'm so late in replying (haven't been very active on DoA lately) but thank you KeiCai_Ayan! I'm so flattered to hear that you like my Jae Sun~ And I certainly hope so, too. ^^ Looks like Dollbakery is making a comeback (finally!) so hopefully I'll be able to commission some lovely ice blue eyes at some point~ I have one gorgeous 16mm pair by Kao and it's my favourite ice blue colour so far!

In general news, I'm still waiting for Narins to come back. I have both Butterfly Narae and Narin so I want to collect a complete set of Dreamers too, haha. xD I asked about Narins in the beginning of this year (and Bimong said that there were no definite plans at that point in time) so on one hand I wonder if I should ask again... but on the other hand I wouldn't want to pester Bimong too much. =A=;; Maybe I'll wait a bit longer...

I popped in to share my Morgana with her 408 face - she finally has a new face-up! The 402 needs repainting as well; I still have to get that done. When the heads first arrived, I was so keen to paint them that I didn't wait for suitable weather and I encountered some sealant problems. Lately I have gathered my courage and started over...

I'm always a bit lost when characters don't have freckles :P.

Thank you both! I borrowed the dress from one of my Iplehouse JIDs, who are a lot chunkier, so it had to be overlapped and pinned in back to make it fit.

If anyone is interested, Bimong said that in a week or two, 416 will be available in tan B. I don't know who else, I asked about 416, I want tan A. As for tan A, he said maybe in 1-2 months, he doesn't have a plan yet for that.
