How bad is the chipping? And which body is it? Can you fix it?

 

He's on a beautiful Dollstown 18yr body. I don't have one and it's a lovely body, but the two chips are right under his chest joint on his back. I'll try to glue it back on, but that's a point of stress. I'll just have to see!

Anyone know how consistent Dollshe/Dollstown's resin colors are? I see you can order the chest piece alone. Christian is in copper oriental.

 

@emeraldwings Their resin colors are really consistent! I've also got a Dollstown body and it also had a chipping, but was on his right leg. I've wrote the store and they sold me a replacement and it is just the same color as the body! (body is 1 year old already) My body was oriental skin, but I believe all resin color are consistent!

I'm here to share my beautiful Yakumo with you ^^ he arrived a few days ago and I'm so happy to find this doll for sale after so many years! I've had a WTB thread for a long period of time before someone sold him to me! I just never thought I was going to be able to buy him and already shelled his character into a MDR Fang, now I have no idea what to do with him, but I'm very very lucky to have one and I couldn't be happier with him! I just need to develop a new character! He is on a Spiritdoll Elegance body.

I'm finally able to de-lurk on this thread as I recently was able to purchase a Cyril! I am so, so happy to have him. I've been in love with Nabarro sculpts for so long now, hehe, it seemed like I'd never get the chance to own one though. So I just have to pinch myself. He is blank at the moment, but I have ordered him a lovely body! Ahh! I'm so excited, please excuse me. ^.^"

 

@Alois Trancy Congratulations on your Yakumo! He's really lovely. I hope you enjoy getting to slowly develop a character for him now that you've finally got him. That's the way I like to do things too.

And congratulations to you too @Lady Ravenswood -- Cyril is such a wonderful sculpt. I can't wait to see yours when he comes home!

I haven't been doing much with my dolls lately, but I did snap a quick picture of Allaster (my Yakumo) in his silly raver look the other day.

I'm trying to be a little bit patient so I can match the head to the body with the faceup when the body arrives...but on the other hand...I just want to paint him!!!

Aw, Allaster is so colorful! Did you make all the little bracelets? Hehe, I love when dolls wear jewelry.

 

I've noticed the same :/ maybe nabarro is working on new dolls? I hope for it! I love seeing the pictures and the faceup works, so I hope she comes back soon!

I want to introduce you guys to my newest Nabarro doll. He arrived today and I couldn't be happier! I love him so much and I've waited for this doll for over 7 years! He was a hard to find and hard to buy, but was worth every cent!

Meet Morgan Roosevelt, mostly known as Wendigo:



He is a reincarnation of the Devil himself, but he is living on a human body, tho. That's why he is deteriorating and has the veins showing around the eye! He was painted by the talented russian artist Legend. I have no words to express my happiness!

Diahr's new wigs arrived. I ordered three, but two of them look strange on him because they are just on the small side. His head is bigger than I thought The last wig looks very nice, I think, so I am happy

@angelie23, thanks! All Nabarro sculpts are quite realistic and alive

@Princessen, actually it's not a complete chainmail, but just a piece of chainmail fabric from butcher's glove. It doesn't have sharp edges, and besides that, his body was covered by the thick layer of paint to match the head. So I believe it's safe enough

 

hi everybody! someone know how fits Cyril on a Mystic Body from Dollshe?

@hiro_c This is Sumner on the Arsene body which has very similar proportions to the Mystic body. Not too bad.

Though I do not like this side view,
but then I really prefer him on the bigger M28 body:

You might ask someone about the Dollstown 18 with the new knees. I nodded the knees of mine with locks to fix the problem, but I don’t have similar problems with my Dollstown 17

@hiro_c I am so late, but i just wanted to add that I have my Har on a Dollstown 18 yr body. The body is heavy, but i think it stands nicely. I don't have problems with it. I like it so much I plan to get more.
I have heard that Dollstown is upgrading the body and should release a revised version later in the year.

@AlchemicCandy I am sorry, but I am not familiar with that body. I think the body might work. If it is a similar size as Soom Super Gem (around 65cm) then it might work. At least I have seen Har on the Soom body and it looked fine.

 

My Wally is on a DT18 and the issue is, I think, the upper body being too heavy for the knees. I hotglued his joints but it doesn´t do... I am going to try some wireing. That´s just a shame because this body is so beautiful
He poses well but he just doesn´t want to stand more than a couple of minutes.

 

Someone in the workshop, long while back, did a torso mod that ultimately involved sanding out a lot of the material from inside the torso, thus making it lighter. Might be worth looking into to make it less top heavy.

 

I keep mixing things up. My Nabarro Sumner is on yet another body and I think I like the proportions even more
