Ordered a full-set QingChen Fox on Christmas day, the only thing on my list this year. My first big boy, and more than ready to welcome him home!

 

Awwwyiss another qingchen owner! I ordered him fullest for my sister in October so he should be coming home soon! Can't wait to see yours!

 

Currently paying off a layaway on a MK Oscar fullset minus the face-up and wig, only one payment to go and I am beyond excited to have him home!

 

I ordered a Julien Head recently and I’m so excited. He’s going to be the head for my first doll!!

 

So, good news and bad news.

I got the notification that my fox boy shipped on the 24th of January, and I was ecstatic! That's like literally a month almost to the day since I ordered him, it's fantastic! Alas, it doesn't seem like it was meant to be though. I've been checking the tracking every day and there hasn't been any movement since the 25th. It says is "Despatch from sorting center" in Shanghai, but nothing since. It's been a week since then and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this and know how it got resolved?

 

Are you looking at the tracking on the USPS website?

 

No, on the EMS site through the tracking number and link Alice's Collections sent me.

EDIT: I just checked the USPS site as well, and it has the same information.

 

I wouldn't worry too much just yet but if you're really stressed about it, you can always send AC an email and see if she can help you out, she gets back within a day or two and is always willing to help.

 

Just got an email from clover-singing saying that MK Oscar will ship out next week! So excited!

 

the Qingchen fox ordered for my sister just shipped! he was ordered october 20th last year but got delayed because i ordered too much from alice ! he should be here next week!

No, still no word. Alice said they would look into it, and the EMS Site hasn't updated since I last posted, but the USPS site has said that he's "Inbound to customs" for almost two weeks now. Still waiting and hoping. I hope yours doesn't run into any problems!

 

Actually, I had a similar thing with a different order from China- some companies have stopped services between the 4th and 25th of February? It's a spring holiday.

 

Yeah, I've also had orders for other things just sitting for weeks because of the holiday. I'm not sure but my guess is chinese postal services are either stopped or slowed signifccantly this time of year.

 

@Humi ah my sisters qing Chen arrived early this month no problem :/ I hope yours get sorted soon!

 

From what I can tell he's already out of China. The Chinese post was slow, but he made it out of the worst of it before the new year holidays. It seems like he's stuck in the black hole that is New York customs, and from my knowledge once something's there, there's not much you can do but wait. Fingers crossed I'll get news soon.

Oh man I'm sorry to hear that, that's a bummer when that happens. Hopefully they don't hold him hostage for too much longer!

 

So I messaged Alice's Collection for updates and I got this reply:
"I'm sorry for the waiting on the order, due to the long Chinese New Year holiday all orders are delayed for 20 to 30 days, your doll will come in the next batch of Mystic Kids dolls to us which is expected to be in 20 days^^."

Hey Guys, Random question - the card that came with your Mystic Kids - mine doesnt have anything on the back of it, it's just blank like no numbers is that normal? >.>

 

According to Alice’s collections, that’s normal and they do that so you can fill out your own name and birthdate if you want. Mine was blank as well!

 

Phew thank you haha. I thought i had to scratch the card...so I did LOL AND THERE WAS NOTHING >.<

 

I ordered a 1/4 Gene a couple days ago! He's getting a faceup as well, and he's scheduled to ship out by April, according to the makers. So I'm pretty early into my waiting period but it shouldn't be too long. What I imagine will be the REAL wait is actually the shipping process itself as it flies over! Can't wait. >w<

Same. Mine was delayed due to the Lunar New Year Holidays too- accrording to Alice collection (at the time when I ordered) there was a 100 days waiting period so she was a month late

So, I'm curious, does anyone do a "Birthday" for their doll and if you do- is it the day the doll arrives or is it the day you get to open the box?

As for the Birthday thing, I plan to celebrate mine when he gets here! But I think they have a birthcard don't they? .x Like Cabbage Patch Kids? Or is that just its paper saying it's authentic? If it has a date on it, I'll go by that. If it doesn't, I'll go by the box opening date. c: Cuz that's when he'll arrive here.

 

Someone on here mentioned the authenticity card comes blank for name and birthday. I agree- opening the box is the important bit

My doll shipped finally! I'm so excited! Hopefully he arrives for me before June 1st when I go on 3 week vacation. XD Hopefully only 30 more days (so it says!) till arrival! Speaking of, before I forget, is there anyone here able to measure one of their doll's fingers? I'm assuming they all have similar finger sizes and I want to get a pair of rings made by someone on Etsy who does it with metal. I have no measuring tape to do it, and was just wondering if anyone here had done such a thing before in order to have some custom jewelry made.

 

@Pigxels a measuring tape has metal for the first cm- I suggest getting a piece of paper and wrapping it around the doll's finger, marking the start and end, then measure that.
I think you are waiting for a male MSD (sorry if i'm wrong) - I'm worried the hands are different on a female so I can't help with the actual measurements, sorry about that

It was an unplanned impulse buy, but I ordered a Tremmel head through Alice Collections. I'm currently awaiting for my first BJD from MYOU, but I'm planning a pair of dolls and I really wanted to own a vampire doll. Looking through the wiki however I noticed that 1/4 vampire sculpts are pretty rare, especially more kiddy/anime ones that'd match as a partner to my MYOU. And then I remembered the wonderful Tremmel, noticed MK is having a discount and AC has free shipping, and it was a slippery slope from that point on! (I do realize his fangs are really teeny tiny and can be easily masked if one doesn't want them, but can also really pop if one decides to accentuate them)
Does anybody know how long will it take for me to receive it? Does a single blank head take as much as a full body to produce? I doubt it somehow, but...
