Mystic Kids 1/6 discussion

I'm expecting to receive MK Cris sometime this month. Depends on how the shipping goes, because he was sent out already.
I was looking for any posts about them too but couldn't find any either, so I'm glad you made one! Vanetta has a cute face too. ; w;

 

I just bought a Mystic Kids Christina! She should be here this week. I'm so excited! I'll post pictures when I get her in! ^^

 

I ordered Verdin during the event w/ bunny. D: I'm still waiting to hear anything.

What skin tone did you order?

 

I bought her from someone on here, she's in normal skin! I'm so excited! ^^

 

Sorry for the double post, but here she is! I got her yesterday, but I was waiting for her wig to get here (today). :3 I'm so excited, I love her already!

She's in normal skin, and has the default faceup with the paw-print. She had her 12mm red glass eyes, but I switched to 10mm slightly honey-colored(?) eyes.

Wow, such a tiny thread! I ordered a Verdin last month and she just shipped. She's going to be modded and painted and all kinds of fun stuff, transforming her into a little hooved and horned goat-girl. I love her cute little face and can't wait to see her in person!

To anyone in this thread who already owns a Mystic Kids 1/6, how does their body size compare to other YoSD-sized dolls? I'd love to know what kind of clothes I can start accumulating for her.

 

I just ordered a Verdin from Junky Spot yesterday, so hopefully I'll get her this week.
I'm curious about the size as well, unfortunately I have nothing to compare it too when I do get her.

I'm a bit scared, I love pale skin and I wasn't sure about Mystic Kid's skin tones. I ended up ordering white skin, then I finally got to see what normal skin looked like. . A. White skin might be to pale for me.

 

Yeah, they are fairly light, it kind of surprised me.

 

Good to know! I've been eyeing up some Soom Teenie Gem outfits that will look great with hooves and a tail, but hesitating. Now I think I'll go for it, so the poor thing isn't naked when she arrives.

 

The Mystic Kids YoSD's are...thicker, than teenie gems. At least, their bottoms are. I tried to put a non-stretchy teenie gem skirt on my Mystic Kids Christina, and it wouldn't fit over her thighs. The shirt/dress fit, though. If you want a teenie gem outfit that is not stretchy for the bottoms, I don't suggest it.

[EDIT] So I finally took some pictures of my Verdin, this one is my favorite.

 

my verdin got shipped out a while ago and still excited about her and scared still also.

 

I really like the sleepy Isabel, her company photos are darling!! Junkyspot's event sale is pretty tempting but I always wait to see owner photos with a company that I am not familiar with.

If MK yos are thicker than Soom, then does that mean they are as thick as Volks yos? Maybe they could share clothing? It's so much easier when all my dolls can wear the same things.

 

I get to open my Cris today! I normally don't do box openings but I am highly considering doing one for him.

My Verdin's eyelashes got caught on a wig and both fell out right after I took some photos of her.. I was a bit upset because I glued them in and they dont look as good as they did.

 

Aww, I'm sad to hear that her eyelash fell out--but still, she's just adorable! That faceup is sooo cute.

 

So do these kiddos take 10 or 12 mm eyes? Neither the Mystic Kids website nor JunkySpot list a size. I'm not too thrilled with my Cris' eyes, they're so bright.

 

I was not a fan of the eyes I received either and since I said I would share my Cris (*note: he is incomplete, awaiting his clothing and wig.) I may as well help out with some eye photos.

I wish I could comment on the clothing bit, but I've not seen any 1/6 dolls in person aside from my Cris, but the outfit I bought on etsy for him fits well! YuY/

I've had super bad luck with my Verdin D: Like.. eyelashes came off, the right eye's face up is all chipped off D: and other issues with her eye's face up.
Having small regrets

 

Sorry to hear that. My Isabel came with a few wayward lashes, but I just cut those off. They also are a little lower on one side. I don't think its very obvious from the promo photos, but she has teeth.


But you really have to tilt her head back to see them. Straight on they're not at all obvious.

 

I also had some inward eyelashes but I managed to fix them- as for face up problems I just had some "mutant" freckles (one darker, and one that's more like a small line) but I just consider them more realistic and unique that way so... no complaints from me!

Oh and if anyone wants I also have a few other yoSD's so I could try their clothing on my Cris to find out some different fits?

 

Thanks for the owner pics of Isabel. I didn't know or seen any pics that show she had teeth. She really is sweet and peaceful looking though.

 

The Blue eye is the one they sent with her, the yellow/orange eye is 14mm that I bought for another doll.

Manda_Chan, there is one promo photo that if you look closely, it appears that Isabel might have teeth. But its not at all obvious.

I gotta say, I really hate the eyelashes that come with Verdin. I had to cut them on mine, they reminded me of those cheap fake ones they sell at Halloween.

I couldn't get 16mm acrylics to sit in her eyewells. 16mm silicones probably could, but I think they'd be a VERY chibi look, kind of reminiscent of Volks Hinata promo pictures.

 

I am excited I get to order Christina this Friday, these dolls are so super cute.

 

Asiya's hooves came in today! She's almost ready to be painted blue, blushed, and faceupped....

 

U: where did you get those hooves?

 

Peapoddoll! They have a few different types; these are the bull hooves.

 

So, I mainly decied on a black/dark brown wig since her Verdin's eye brows are kind of dark. I didn't really care for her with blonde hair.

I thought about making her a Demon or something fun. Depending on what I can find and everything.

I really love these little ones - Vanetta, Cris and Christina especially - But that pawprint on Christina's face is really putting me off her so much! Is it possible to get Christina with no pawprint?

Julien is amazing, and Vanetta, Cavell and Cris are tempting me so much too! *-* Plus the price is way less than I expected, so the temptation is even bigger...my wishlist grows.

I'll have to remember them, possibly for when I end up succumbing to the urge to make a baby set of the full-size adult versions of the characters I love. *-* Baby-Kirk and baby-Khan would be to die for!

 

I think they are a pretty good quality for the price. Mine all seem well balanced and can stand on their own, barefoot, which is nice for taking photos.

* 0* So I found out my Verdin wears 10mm eyes... which kind of stinks cause I bought 14mm and 12mm eyes for her.. and they still looked a bit big. I ended up asking someone else who had one. 8I So.. they told me 10mm works best... *sigh* Anyways...
