Wait Times Mystic Eyes order February 2017 *THOSE WHO ARE WAITING*

That's the order I'm in, too... A 14mm pair of Antique C eyes for one of my YoSDs.

Honestly, I've pretty much written off ever receiving them at this point. It's money lost as far as I'm concerned and a "lesson learned" about ordering anything else from Mystic. That's a shame given how much I've liked the other eyes I've ordered in the past from him. (The longest wait I've had previously was about three months, and I've made a fair few orders from them over the years-)

 

I ordered four pairs of eyes: Chocolate and Basic Brown with real human pattern 14 mm / 6.5 mm and Daybreak and Twilight 14 mm / 7.5 mm from the new Tender series. I'm usually patient when it comes to waiting for dolly stuff, but now I'm getting antsy. One of my dolls (Feeple65 Siean) has been faceless for almost two years, because I'm having hard time envisaging her face up without the eyes.

Not getting the eyes would be a huge disappointment. But I haven't lost hope. I'm pretty confident we will get the eyes eventually

 

It's really disappointing that this order has taken so long. The last update I got from Blanki was on October 2nd. I feel like Mystic is no longer being honest about his circumstances. How many eyes were in this order? How could it possibly take so long unless literally nothing is happening? New resin eye makers have gone from novice experimenters to full fledged eye artisans with shops in the time we've waited. :/

 

I was in the August 2014 order and it took 10 months overall to receive my eyes. He messed up on the first set after 9 months and remade the replacements in 1 month. I was wondering if blanki wasn't taking orders for Mystic anymore or what since the last pre-order was 2017. I never dreamed people would still be waiting for their eyes from 2 years ago. I really needed to replace some character specific Mystic eyes in new sizes but with this news I'm going to have to try and find an alternate solution. I hope you guys get your eyes soon. This is a real shame.

 

I'm also waiting, and at this point I don't really expect to get them either. I ordered three pairs. At this point it's been so long that one is redundant, one is for a doll I want to sell because I never bonded with him because I've become irritated by his eyes being wrong, and one was for a doll that just went in a different direction and is too small for the other doll that has the same color eyes.

 

So what shall we do? I am loathe to do anything that even vaguely makes me feel like a middle-aged white lady shouting in front of a customer service desk, but I do feel that being upset is justified at this point. I've had shorter waits for Dollshe dolls, which puts Mr. Mystic in very poor company indeed.

 

It's nice to get some sort of update, even if it's only yet-another "He's working on it, I swear!" message... but I'm still skeptical.

I'll believe there's really been progress when/if we finally start to have our orders in-hand. Call that a somewhat jaded reaction to all the other emails we've received talking about Mystic's plans to ship. <_<

 

Mine are not, so god knows how much more waiting.

Well, all I can do is laugh at this point. The eyes I've waited two years for arrived and don't look like the color I was expecting.
FYI: Fog is very much a blue and not a grey.

I've had this issue on the past with colors that I've ordered more than once - sometimes they look exactly like the stock photo, sometimes they don't. I took issue with it once when it was critical and got a slightly better color match but the two eyes didn't match each other.

 

Here is a comparison of 12mm Dollshe Medium Gray and 14mm Mystic Fog in natural light.

 

I'll admit it... I'm going to be Very Seriously Grumpy if, when I finally do get the eyes I ordered, they turn out to be too wildly different a color from Shonokin's older Antique Cs.

The whole bloody point of ordering the chibi-sized version of the character's eyes from the same dealer who made the grown-up version's was SO THEY WOULD MATCH!

If they don't, I'll have waited around two years for something that I can't even use...
Plus I'll have to start back at square one hunting down and buying matching eyes for both dolls. (Which is annoying not only because it's expensive, but because the color of Shonokin's current eyes is perfect. )

A little different is understandable. That's not a big deal. But if they're too far off... oof.

 

Nope. Last I heard was in like... February, that one of my three pairs had arrived but not the other two. I don't have it yet because after this long I really don't want to pay more money for separate shipping so I'm hoping eventually the other two will show up but oof.

 

Hi everyone, has anyone else received their eyes? It is three months away from being a three year wait.
I ordered four pairs of 8mm real human pattern iris in fog, oke, caramel and limited #15, all of my pairs were custom iris size.
I love mystic eyes and pray that we all shall see our eyes soon

 

I did finally get mine, back in August... And the color was off. *facepalms*

 

OMG after that long wait!

 

It was sort-of the end I expected by then, honestly.

 

One pair of three was apparently sent to blanki earlier in the year but I don't want to pay shipping twice for eyes I've been waiting forever for so she still has them. No updates since then. I should get around to emailing asking for an update.

 

Still no eyes. I have sent a message to blanki, will see what she says.

Yes, she was hoping to hear news a good number of weeks ago but has not gotten back to me, now with the state the world is in who knows what will happen.
As soon as i hear anything i will update this thread.

 

I was looking for info about Mystic eyes and found this thread. I ordered mine back in early 2017 too, not with Blanki but another dealer in China. They have been ordering from Mystic for years which most of them were smooth and quick, but the pre-order in 2017 when the Tender series was released was absolutely a nightmare.

Like you guys here, we placed the pre-order early 2017 and waited for like 2 years to have them (20+ pairs) all arrived. Within the waiting period, my dealer contacted Mystic Eyes several times, but only getting replies like they needed to redo the eyes as they are not perfect, or kept giving fake finishing dates. We received the eyes in Dec 2019, luckily.

What makes my angry is that, Mystic eyes kept attending doll events in Korea with LOTS of new eyes ready for sale when we the people who made the international pre-order were waiting for them desperately. They were even updating dates of doll events on their twitter(mystic_yeuwoobi) at that time. I asked my friend who as well attended the Korean doll events (that was Jul 2018) to ask Mystic about the international pre-orders face to face, they casually said they will finish them asap, like they don't care about it at all. I am really shocked to see they still haven't finish the pre-orders when it's 2020 now. You guys might need to find some methods to reach them as I think their behaviour is really ridiculous...

jvonc, thank you for this! I am still waiting for my order (4 pairs) since 2017, it is obvious that Mystic international customers are not a priority.

 

Not even a little bit lol I've basically given up on getting the eyes I ordered. I won't have a use for two of them anymore even if they come lol.

 

I am the same, I don’t have any dolls any longer that need the size i ordered. I guess there is always the market place

 

As much as this sucks there are people that have been waiting for 4 1/2 years for Dollflower eyes ordered in early 2016. Checkout the dollflower thread on this ordering and shipping questions forum. I guess Mystic and Dollflower are two names to put on my companies to never buy from list. Tis a shame too, because both companies make beautiful eyes.

 

I agree blackdahlia, such a shame really as their eyes are lovely. I have been a huge fan for many years and the 2017 preorder was a chance i took but it will be the last time.

 

I had news in June that blanki has received my order but unfortunately Malaysia seems to not be shipping to Canada with the pandemic so technically i still have not received them.

 

Hi there, no updates, Canada still accepts packages from Malaysia but is at a partial service delivery, I believe Malaysia is not sending anything out to Canada. Where are you located?

 

I am not sure, there seems to be a lot of information on what has or has not resumed with restrictions. I have sent an email to blanki, will let you know when i hear from her.

 

Hi, yes i did get my eyes, it was a very long wait i think 5 years. The only dealer i knew of that preordered them stopped after that preorder as Mr Mystic was taking too long to fulfill them. Lately the only way to find them was at BJD Cons etc in Asia.

I have amended my answer above as it was 4 years wait, Feb 2017 to June 2021 or close to that. I definitely reached out and blanki was very quick to respond when there was news.
