I just heard from Myou. They are now processing November orders. I ordered Doudou January so it will be another 30-60 working days. Thought I would pass this information on.

 

I guess they have become more popular. Lorina and Loretta arrived in a month from Alice.

 

I remember you telling me that before. That would explain why Lorina was not painted as I requested.

 

They did have a pretty good sale. Are you plannng on seeing if you can send yours back for an adjustment to the faceup? @Oliveoil

 

Yes, I did send Lorina head back. I went ahead and paid for return shipping. Originally they were going to ship head with my Doudou orde, but I don't want to wait that long. I should get the head next week.

 

When do you guys think Myou will have another event? I'm slowly approaching being able to buy my girls, but I wish I'd been able to during the 15% off.

 

I had a message, too from my seller apologizing for delay with DouDou order. She said they hired more staff and may get her shipped in April. I think I ordered Nov or Dec. So another 30-60 days for mine, too maybe.

 

Ooh I got a Doudou too! It's a bummer about the wait especially since I ordered him in Feb, but hopefully it won't be too long a wait! Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

 

Thank you all for sharing your beautiful pictures. I ordered a Doudou just yesterday. It was love at first site when I saw her. She's so beautiful. Too bad it's such a long wait, but I....will....be....patient....or at least try to. From the looks of all the beautiful Myou dolls you all have, it will be worth the wait.

 

The waiting is killing me! I know it hasn't been that long really... (when I compare it to other wait times, over 3 months isn't as long as I have waited before.... and no where near as long as some companies) but I want my Doudou now! At least I've been pretty busy so I couldn't focus too much on waiting. xD

 

It is hard waiting. We all want that instant gratification. What helps me is focusing on my other dolls, of which I have a lot of work to do for them like making clothes and trying to learn wig making. But I also leave the picture of Doudou from the website up on my computer so I can admire her all the time. I want to make a dress for her as well, before she arrives.

 

@Silvertabby Yeah, I have two dolls and I'm spending a lot of time with them. Also learning to sew, and I'm really super busy with my painting/drawing, so that's keeping my mind off of the wait most of the time. I also have her picture up on my computer! I guess it's mainly when I take a brake and do nothing that I start to freak out about it again. and the longer I wait the more my thoughts drift to her when I'm not doing anything! xD

That's awesome! I would make her a dress too... but I'm so new at sewing that doing it for a slightly different size from a pattern is made for seems like a stretch for me. Have fun sewing, hope you share what you do once you have your Doudou!

 

I think DouDou is pretty similar in size to the Little Darlings and there are a lot of patterns available for her. Might make it easier to make a few things while you are waiting

 

She's also similar in size to Tonner's 10" Patsy, of which there are tons of patterns available. Her waist is about a half inch smaller and she's 1 1/2" taller, but other than that, the measurements are pretty similar.

 

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does Myoudoll offer custom faceups/edits to default faceups?

Hello...is there anyone know about myou pink resin does it match with soom?coz i'm getting an imda30 head in normal skin n wanted to do hybrid with myou pink body, n about the neck circumference i'm aware that myou 30cm body has biger neck size which is 6.5 cm while imda only 6cm.. sovwould it be fit on myou doll body?

Hi ... I'm new to the Hobby and I'm thinking of getting a Lorina (or Loretta), but I would like to know if her head fits on the 27cm body?

 

All Myou's 1/6 heads fit both the 27 cm body and the 30 cm pear body. You can check if a head will fit usually by looking at the neck size, which is 6.5 for Myou's 1/6 dolls.

 

Oh man, I am this close to buying a 30cm Lorina from The Junky Spot right now. I love the curvy body and that face is just too gosh darn cute.

For anyone who owns a Lorina with her default faceup, would you say the faceup looks similar to her company photos? I've only seen one or two Lorina sculpts on DoA, so it's kind of hard to tell.

 

Yes it is very much like the company photos. I found the blush to be too strong on white resin. On normal it is fine.

 

Ohhh....I was looking at her too and considering buying her or one of the others. I have two MYOU dolls on order already, but I want that instant gratification. I decided to wait, though. I....must.....be.....patient.

 

@Oliveoil, I can definitely see the blush being too strong on White Skin resin. Thanks for the input. I've found White Skin to be very finicky in terms of doll photography, too. If the blushing isn't just right (or there's no blushing at all), I have a really difficult time capturing what the doll actually looks like. Yet I somehow ended up with three Semi-White Skin dolls.

You should totally buy her! If you do, she might go out of stock, and then I can't spend money that I don't have on another doll. Who else do you have on order?

 

Haha. I have Doudou and Dongdong on order with Alice's Collectibles. I ordered Doudou in March and Dongdong a week or so ago. I ordered them both in the pink color, though, which Junky Spot doesn't have.

 

I'm late to reply, but I have Lorina on the 27CM body! It fits okay, but, in general, she does have a rather large head. IMHO, her head seems a bit disproportionate on the 27CM body, so she could look better with 30CM;;;

As you guys know, I was eyeing Lorina at the Junky Spot, but it looks like someone snagged her before me. After seeing her sell out, I decided that she really is irresistible. Thankfully a few days of searching resulted in me getting her via eBay for $10 cheaper (plus an extra wig)! She ships tomorrow.

Hello there,

I'm excited to let you know I'm going to have my first yoSD ! I strayed from my plan (yay?) and I blame my local doll event for the influence.

I never thought to own a yOSD because I don't want many variety sizes in my collection.
More variety = more $ to spend on their clothing as I want my dolls to share their clothing.

However, I couldn't resist the tiny, mobilize doll and I've decided to get one for myself !

I wanted a boy , so I've surveyed few companies and Myou-Doll has caught my eyes on their sculpt & price

I didn't get full set as I want to custom one myself, I'm taking a risky path to customize 1/6 Lorina head on 27cm boy body.
I ordered him blank as I plan to face up him myself.

Please welcome me to Myou-Doll community and I'm please to update my doll when he's arrive.



Also, if anyone has Lorina as boy, please post your picture that I would love to see

I was so impressed by how nice this doll is, I landed up getting another Myou tiny, a Bixuan to be his gal-pal.

Are you planning to get a Myou tiny?

 

I am slowly learning the terminology. I guess tiny is 27 cm? Then, yes, I am definitely getting one! As a matter of fact I am receiving one this week. Waited for a month and now my Doudou (girl version) is coming home. I love your Sibyl boy. Buxian will be a great companion for him. I also really like Fayne, something in the gently slanted eyes and soft expression, just darling. Funny, if you put them together, you will have an adorable little gang. Sibyl looks to be like the leader, there is a determination in his face, certainty. No one can escape those eyes, they are looking straight into your soul. Buxian is a good second in command, loyal and honest friend. Fayne, I think, will keep them all out of trouble, his honest face (but slightly mischievous nature) will make him succeed where others fail. Last minute advice will save them all. What do you think?

Great backstory for the dolls! You're very creative! Fayne is a cutie, and, you are right about the Sybil boy being a perfect leader type. That is why I chose him to be Van Helsing's great-great grandson.

Matti, I posted a photo of my Sybil boy and Bixuan a little earlier in the thread. But, here they are again as Monster Hunters, Gabriel Van Helsing and Sister Mary Margaret Bernadette (Sister Bernie, for short.) He even has a crossbow slung over his shoulder, which I borrowed from my 1/6 Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figure. I love these two!

 

They look great! Thanks for posting these! I can't believe those eyes on Sybil are still so bright (wasn't just on the first photo), very pretty. Buxian looks very unique in a Sister outfit. You know, they seem to be so diverse, with a little change they really transform.
I received my Doudou, absolutely love her. The bodies on these dolls are so impressive, wouldn't you say! I still have a long way to go, no clothes, no wig, no makeup. once I finish it all, I will post my pics. Amazing job on Sybil and Buxian, thanks again for sharing, Rabbit-moon!

How exciting! Congrats on your Doudou arriving! Yes, the Myou body sculpts are very impressive. (Though I wish they had additional hands in different poses for their 27cm line.). You are going to have so much fun putting your girl together. Do you have a character and back-story developed yet for your girl?

 

I purchased a blank Lorina from the Marketplace last week and received her on Monday and finished her face-up today. I just love her. I made her wig in a wig making class I took at the NWBJD expo last weekend and love the way it looks on her. Not sure about the color.....it looks gray, but it's supposed to be a pale lavender. My face-up looks so different from the MYOU face-up. But that's what makes BJD collecting so interesting.....all the different looks you can get with the same sculpt. I was a little surprised at how big her head is. It's larger than my other 10" dolls, but I like the way she looks with a bigger head. The only downside to that is I have lots of extra wigs in one size smaller and only a couple in her size (including one that came with her). I was glad this wig fit her....it was a tiny bit big, but I hope to make her one that fits her perfectly, now that I know how to do it. Now I'm really looking forward to getting my Doudou and I'm glad I ordered her with her wig.

Ikayet, I ordered my DouDou in March....I'm not sure when she'll be here. It is a long wait, though.

 

The face up is lovely. You did a great job. The wig is a soft lavender and very pretty. So cute!

@Silvertabby, she looks super! I took that wig class too, and that soft color does look grayer in some lights or against some fabrics. I'm seeing those lilac undertones with that charming face up! Really nifty!

 

Thank you Deb. I sewed up the wig from the pattern we got in the class, too, after shrinking it down to fit a 5/6 head. The wig turned out ok, but is so fluffy. I need to figure out how to style it somehow.

 

I was lightly googling some stuff on how to style/restore mohair wigs on antique and vintage dolls, and I think some of the ideas would work on these wigs too. Things like setting curls and toning down fuzziness... I'll see if I bookmarked any, but the random search was pretty useful.

 

So, my MYou Lorina arrived a few weeks ago, but I may have ruined her faceup by trying to replace a fallen eyelash.

She's out getting a new faceup from Yumejuya, and should be shipping back to me this week. I think her new one will look even better, so I'm excited to show you guys!

Also, in case anyone was curious, LUTS Petit Delf clothing fits the MYou 30cm body relatively well. I ordered the La Vie En Rose set for her, and aside from a bit of scrunching in the corset area, everything looks great.

 

I keep eyeing the Sybil boy, and since I am still pretty new, I'm wondering how he compares sizewise to other yosd boys? If an outfit says it fits yosd from say a Peaks Woods or a Little Fee , will it likely fit a Myou do you think? Thanks!
