Thank you Rabbit-Moon. I tend to dress my girls in season. It is rather silly...as they don't get cold but I get cold looking at them in summer clothes.
You are welcome. I love the 45cm girls. At first the legs seem long to me, but now I love their long legs.

 

@Oliveoil, do you make their clothes yourself? Those are beautiful sweaters.

 

Thank you! I do make clothes but never keep. I love buying from other seamstresses and I do not know how to knit.
I bought both of those outfits on Ebay.

I just ordered a 27cm Mina in Normal Pink skin from JunkySpot. I already ordered dolls from Alice's collections, but somehow the wait is seeming incredibly long after only two months. So here I am, buying an in stock doll before my others even get here. (I think I'm hooked before even getting any dolls.)

I'm super glad I did though, got to see a MYOU Doll in real life thanks to Skyf, they are so incredibly cute. I also only just ordered her yesterday and she has already shipped, I'm so excited!

Now to go knit her some clothing!

Congratulations on Mina. It is great to buy from JunkySpot. I have two 44cm girls from there. Wait time less than a week. Please post photos when Mina arrives. I am jealous, you know how to knit.

Oh sorry for the late reply, I missed this somehow. I ordered DouDou on the 17th of December, so It hasn't been too long yet... If it's anything like Bixuan it will be another 3 weeks before they ship her. However with the New year celebrations I would not be surprised if it was longer. Waiting is defiantly a very hard part of this hobby! :')

My MYOU Mina arrived on January 27, only five days from the SW of the US all the way to the NE coast of Canada! Her name is Eunice and she is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my entire life! Officially totally hooked on the BJD Hobby!

LOL! Remember when I said I didn't have anything planned for my impulse-buy Bixuan? Well, my muse went into hyper drive last week!

Meet my little Bixuan, (Bernadette) who is now Sister Bernie, a renegade nun who is the assistant/partner to my Myou Sybil-boy, who happens to be Abraham Van Helsings' great, great grandson. Waaahhh! My little demon hunters!

 

OMG! I love Sister Bernie! You have a great imagination and talent for creating the character!

Here are Gabriel Van Helsing (Myou Sybil-boy) and Sister Bernie. They work for an ancient secret enclave of the Catholic Church that fights against the forces of evil. (I even found a little cross-bow prop on Ebay for Gabriel to sling across his back.) Beware creatures of the night!

I adore the idea of a renegade nun kicking evil's ass. (Call me perverse.) All I need is a pair of tiny Kung Fu hands to put on her. She's also a total book nerd and computer wiz. Her extensive knowledge of arcane lore and the magical properties of animals, plants, and stones comes in handy when helping Van Helsing fight the forces of darkness. She also has access to the Vatican subterranean vaults, and who knows what kind of secrets they have down there?

Thank you Murisdesigns! Gabriel is wearing Doll Hearts' YOSD outfit "Eddy". I love this outfit because it reminds me a little of the Regency Era. I even found a pair of little pseudo-riding boots for him.

Bernie's nun outfit came from an old porcelain 12" doll I found on Etsy. I was thrilled that the costume fit Bernie as well as it did, and was in such good shape. Even the black stockings, bloomers, and shoes fit Bernie perfectly. The stars really aligned on that little gamble.

Well, here is little Bernie in her new wig, a Monique Trading Company Pinky in deep purple. Since, in her backstory, she is half demon, I needed to make her look a little different. Her last wig was a Dollzone Black/Purple wig, but it was so black you could hardly see the purple in it. (I think I might need to trim the bangs, they are really heavy!)

The wig is a great color with her eyes!

I sent my Lorina head back to Myou for a new face up which I was paying for. I got a message from them stating....
"The Lorina head is not arranging re-paint. I will arrange the head part ship out with your doudou order"

I am confused but it sounds like they can't do the face up. I am a little upset as I did pay for shipping the head.
I hope to get more clarification on this.

@Rabbit-moon Maybe try thinning the wig a little rather than fully cutting it? The problem looks like the hair is too thick, but there's nothing wrong with the line of the bangs.

 

I don't have a long wig but this one is wavy with no bangs. Hope it helps.

I'm actually not entirely in love with the sculpt-- I think it's the faceup, and I have to do another-- but, I'm sure she'll grow on me, eventually. ; v;
I feel like this sculpt has to be painted in a really specific way. It's weird. But, here she is:

Wow really, I feel she looks absolutely stunning! I do understand though, it may be different but I've done the same with my 2D paintings, sometimes it just doesn't feel right. I hope you can find what works for you!

@Rabbit-moon Thank you, so much! I'm actually not quite sure what I like. While painting her, I found it difficult to do so without adding too much blush. When I had, however, it seemed too much, so I lightened things up with my second faceup on her. It still seems like it's lacking something. ; v;
