40–49cm Dolls MYou doll Chelses arrival

It was a bit of a surprise to receive her this quickly. I only waited a little over 2 months since my order to Alice's Collections, and the shipping took less than a week. Fully expected to get her sometime in February and not before the holidays



The doll box was well packaged, and I always expect there isn't anything to really protect it from the box cutter, so I was wise to be careful and not slash a big mark on the box
The wig, eyes and a couple shoes were packed in with the doll by Alice's Collections, so that's why there is extra stuff.


I don't have a doll bag like this, but I do like it more than just two big pillows or a cutout in foam.
She came with a bunch of documentation, so that is always nice. The doll came with a pair of free 14mm eyes and a really handy small hook to help pulling the head free.


Very well mummified and she was wearing some underwear, though the quality of the undies is a bit poor so I won't be using them.



And she is free! She is on the bigger side, which I think is a plus. Though she does have a little trouble fitting into some dresses, but in general nothing should be loose or falling off of the body. But that's only a couple dresses out of all the ones I have, so presumably she'll fill in most Dollmore size dresses nicely.



The MYou ver. 2 body does feel very nice. The double joints work very well and the 3 part torso does allow for more movement. It also does seem to be well balanced, though I'll need to get some new varnish on her, because everything is too smooth and doesn't have enough friction to stay in place.
Only thing that I would have liked is a little more room on the hip/thigh joint, she can't lean forward well since the resin doesn't allow it. But that's a small detail for some idiot like me who likes their dolls to move to every direction



It's been a long while since I last ordered a new doll and I feel like I'm completely lost on everything BJD after not really thinking about them for years :"D
But I am determined to revive myself and be more active with dolls again! She is going to be a really good kick to get things done.

Thank you! I really lucked out with the random wig I picked out when ordering her, because it's so silky smooth and definitely is the vibe I want for her. Now to just hunt for clothes

The wig is so soft and nice! I was totally not expecting it when I threw it as an option into the shopping cart, it was decently cheap as well. I have to look into the company that made it because the quality is so good, might find new replacements for old wigs.
I'll have to keep in mind the MDD clothes since those have apparently gotten very popular over the past 5 years
