Does anyone have an MSDs and a Tiny from Myou? I'm really interested to the idea of having a sibling pair with a significant age difference, and I wanted to see if they look like they're in scale with each other. Can someone do a comparison please?

Hey all! I fell in love with Ailsa and now she's mine I named her Ali. I fricken love her. Her posing is incredible, probably the best of any doll I've had. I'd say she holds pose almost as well as my Dollfie Dreams. And her company faceup is just SO BEAUTIFUL.


She's wearing an outfit from Swan 20.

Here she is with a Clover doll (left) and Doll Chateau Bella (right).



She completes this trio that I'm calling the Dreaming Girls, because these clothes remind me a bit of the fashion from a tarot deck called Dreaming Way.

If anybody has any hesitation getting one of these dolls, just do it! She's soooo worth it! I'm wondering how the other sizes compare...

Now I can't find where I saw the news, but the Delia dress is now available from Myou.

 

What size wigs are people using for their dolls? I noticed that the usual size for MSDs is 7-8, but the sculpt I'm after, Alisa, just barely has a head circumference over 7 inches.

 

I have Alisa and Delia. They can wear either size...6/7 or 7/8. The 7/8 is best with wig cap. Hope this helps.

 

@Oliveoil Just trying to make up my mind on things. Decision-making is hard. I've found some wigs I like that only come in 6-7, and Alisa's head is so small, I was wondering if 6-7 wigs would fit.

 

Sorry if I was not clear on that. Yes, 6/7 will work. The wigs I tried have stretch.

Thank you. The wig cap will have elastic. Some companies don't use elastic so wig will not stretch.

 

hm. Is there any way to know before I buy? Should I ask the community or the company?

 

I suppose you could ask the company. Monique Gold and Jpop have stretch caps. Anybody else have another company to recommend?

 

Heh, Delia's pretty popular. I just (nearly) finished my first outfit for mine--she still needs shoes, I think. Hopefully the new wig I ordered her will work--I think she'd be adorable with a short little bob! I'm going for a sort of 20s inspired look for her.

 

She looks great in this outfit. I love the hat and the 20's idea. Delia has such a pretty face.

Bohe is cute, but her expression is kind of generic, imo. It would really depend on what faceup the doll has. Delia's sculpt has a little more innate expression, but I think the sculpts as a whole are very versatile.

 

Ya, I think Delia expression is difference too, I'm planning to buy 1/4 delia and 1/6 lorina because they have such great expression. Do they sell the head part only? I really fall in love with MYOU doll, and read the good comment from the others too. I think Bohe and alisa face is beautifull, May be I'll save up again later and collect them.

What a coincidence! I'm looking at getting a 1/4 Alisa and a 1/6 Sybil and having them be sisters. Its going to be very, very cute. It doesn't look like you can buy just the head from Stacy's, but from another dealer perhaps? You can also email the company directly and ask. Does anyone else know?

 

Delia and Lorina face seem resemble each other, I'll make the sister too. since I'll back to china on the march, I'll just buy them at their official taobao dealer, and I just find they sell the body part like body and hand, but they seem like not sell only head. I think my next problem is the clothes, but nevermind I think I can sew clothes for them. Can they use Luts or minifee clothes? (for 1/4 girl), and use other 1/6 bjd clothes?

 

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread. I already own two Myou tinies, a Sybil-boy and Bixuan, but I got tempted recently by a Myou 1/4 boy. (The 15% off sale at The Junky Spot was also more than I could resist!)

Well, my boy arrived today. He's an Arthur. I haven't seen any owner pictures of him, so I thought you guys would like to see him. I was looking for a boy with a serious expression for a character I was trying to shell. I also wanted him to have lovely lips.



Here's a closer picture of his face so you can see it in better detail. So far, I have been very impressed by this company's face-ups.

Also, the resin is nice and smooth and has a good weight. All the seams are sanded, and the normal color resin is a beautiful, light, neutral normal-yellow. (I've brought normal-yellow dolls from other new companies, and I've been horrified by how dark and deeply-yellow their idea of normal-yellow is!) Happily, with Myou, the color is just lovely.



So, please meet "Rupert". I hope you like him!

I noticed that there isn't a Myou Database established. Nancy, I was wondering, since you have started several of the Myou threads, have you given any thought to maybe starting the Myou Doll Database? (Just wondering...not pushing.) There seems to be a few more of us now, and it would give us a place to post our doll's picture for members to see. Might even encourage more members to buy from Myou when they see how nice their dolls are.

Thank you Oliveoil! Yes, the face-up is nice, and the mouth is almost delicate. I agree the Arthur sculpt would make a lovely girl. Of the three 1/4 boys that Myou produces, I think Arthur is the most uke.

It's unfortunate that none of the company photos show Arthur's profile, so here it is. He has an adorable little nose.

 

I'm not really a database person. I rarely add my dolls to the darabases, so I'm probably not the person to start one. Go ahead and start one if you wish!

Arthur is lovely! Gosh, it's so hard to figure out whether I like him or Wind more Maybe one day I'll figure that out so I can actually buy one.

 

Has anyone tried making a hybrid using a Myou 1/4 girl body and a Dollmore kid head? I wonder how visible the gap would be since the neck circumference of the dollmore doll is 6 mm bigger than that of the Myou doll, according to the websites. I'm waitng for my first doll, a Myou Delia, but since BJDs are pricey, I thought I would collect a few heads to go with this body.

Actually, I don't think you can go wrong with either sculpt; Wind is a gorgeous boy! I may have to have a Wind too, eventually, because he is so cute. Another 15% off sale, and I'll be really tempted.

Gotta love the kitty mouth ^^ An unexpected plus, seeing the doll in real life, it looks like her face-up and slim build might be a good match for one of my characters that I was struggling to find a good sculpt for. Will have to her her out as the character and see how it looks

Thank you! The green outfit was made for Kaye Wiggs MSD by Maggie and Kate on eBay. The brown outfit is for Rosenlied Holiday doll.Holiday is chubby so the dress is a little big on Alisa. Delia can wear most MSD size. They have long legs but it has not been a problem with fit. Congratulations. Please post photos.

So, I'm waiting for my 2 girls, they said it took 90days to process my order, so Yap I still have long way to wait for them,
I order Allissa in tan and of course the popular Delia in normal skin, and I order it without face up just the basic nude doll.
For the tan skin they add extra 100RMB.
I'm really sad I miss their chinese new year discount.
But over all, The customer service is nice and answers all my question, and explain all the process, in Chinese.
I hope it did not take 90 days. Oh, last but not least They didn't charge the airmail delivery service inside China.

It seems like everyone loves Delia. Ha. That's the same one I ordered. I said it another board but don't remember which one. I got mine in Tan in December and still waiting on her. I'm anxious only because I'm starting the home buying process and will need to move. I don't want all the dolls and items I have on order to get lost in the void but it should be OK.

 

Aww, Me too I'll go back to my country in July so I hope the doll Arrived in time, I love Delia Lips, It just different from any other sculpts and I've bound with her face. I just have a gut that Allissa in tan could be perfect.
I'm also ordered DF-H 1/4 practice head today so I can start practice face up before I do face up to my MYOU girls.

 

Very cool! I can't paint myself so I don't have the advantage of doing my own face ups but I would love to see what you manage to do when you get your dolls.

Thanks... I hope You can manage your move well too. I just like to draw and doing some Chinese painting since junior high school, and interested in BJD when I almost graduate from senior high school. But I just have my own money from my scholarships now, so this is my first time to buy BJD. I also paint monster high doll.

 

Wow. Looks like you have way more experience than me. I'm good at making resin and jewelry things. I wish I had my uncle's talent to paint. You sound a little like me. I was first introduced to BJDs in college and have been in love with them since. Recently (2015) I decided to get one because I always had. Now my dolls have kind of expanded faster than I imaged. Part of the reason I have to move. I need space for them.
