I'm curious if anyone has any opinion/advice for me, I'm considering buying Teresa in either coffee or tan skin, but I'm not sure if her default face-up will look as good on the darker resin? I was already thinking that I didn't really love the black lipstick or the sparkly eyeshadow for the character I want to use her for, but I'm not sure if I want to get her without any faceup because I don't have any experience/ability, or any materials for that matter, for doing a face-up myself. I'm considering comissioning a face-up artist, but I've never done that before and the idea is a bit intimidating, and would cost a lot of extra money for shipping.

 

I don't know about Myou but I got a tan skin doll from Luts and they used the exact same shades as they do for NS dolls. So the face up wound up looking very subtle. So I would actually suggest getting her blank in case you are unsure. But maybe someone her knows from experience.

 

I asked about that from Alice's collection before I ordered Zuzana and they said it should work just fine, the neck sizes are only 0.5cm apart between the genders. I've also seen few pictures of the boy heads on girl bodies here but as I'm on phone I can't dig the posts up right now.

I would email Myou directly. They are very helpful! You might even be able to ask for different colors in the faceup!

@tru4ever You're welcome! I got a full set from Myou and it took about 4 months, so that definitely seems like a long time. I hope it's just a placeholder date, too.

 

When I got my Myou body last fall it was about 3 months for just a blank body. Hopefully 3-4 months will be more accurate.

Myou always offers their dolls at 15% off. So it's kinda weird when I see new posts made being like, for a limited time off, they're having a sale! Not to complain, I'm glad I got my Delia for the 15% off price! I just think it's kinda funny

 

I asked someone who does unboxing videos on Youtube and who has a snow Delia about wait times for Myou x Dolk collabs and she claimed wait times of nine months are normal. It's why I ultimately decided not to get Sakura Zuzana Dealer with mixed reviews paired with a wait time longer than Paypal's dispute window sounded like trouble to me.

I personally opted to buy a blank Zuzana from Alice's Collections (but with her clothes) instead and will try to give her a sweet faceup similar to the one in the Sakura promo pictues.

I would love to see pics of Sakura Delia when she finally comes, though.

 

I ordered a Sandra on the big baby body. She is my first MYou doll, and I’m really looking forward to getting her. I also got face up A and the pink wig. I’ve been wanting an anime girl with a chubby body and Sandra is so cute.

I agree, long waits are the worst. My longest was 8 months! I’m hoping the four month wait I was quoted is true. I have plans for my girl, but can’t do anything until she arrives. I’ve learned to have the doll in hand so I can get true measurements, and see the doll’s scale in person.

 

Yeah, I don't quite trust myself to produce good results based only on measurements either, especially since the stated measurements are often not exact. This isn't such a problem with Zuzana but the other doll I have on order has different measurements stated on different sites, idk what to make of that...

 

@EagleVision1999 I’ve noticed differing measurements too, and have learned not to trust them the hard way, sigh.

I was looking up Sandra’s measurements compared to Volks mdd just to see if Sandra could wear mdd clothes and Volks used millimeters while MYou used centimeters, and MYou didn’t have a hip measurement, just thigh circumference. All I got was enough to confuse me, lol. Best just to wait, not an easy thing to do.

 

I changed out one of the hands on my Myou Michelle. I was kind of a pain, but it's cute!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking in this thread as I window shop for Ling Wei, but I'm curious if others have comparisons for MYou's V2 and V3 female bodies, more likely about their posability? I've seen Oliveoil's comparisons on V1 and V3, but I'd love to know about the pose difference for 2 and 3. TT_TT To me, I love the thickness and proportions of V2, but I've been hearing better things about posing for V3.

I don't have bodies 1 & 3 but I have the version 2 and I'm honestly disappointed in how it poses (for comparison I have few Luts bodies and True Love bodies and those are great at posing so maybe my expectations were simply too high?). It's the most beautiful out of the body versions which is why I chose it but the doll can't for example touch her own face and that's a pose I like using a lot when taking pictures and I'm always afraid she'll faceplant any second if I don't hold her. But since I don't have the v3 body I can't tell if it's or/and how much better at posing it is. I wish they made updated version of version 2 with better posing ability, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. *sighs*

 

I think ver.2 is the single-jointed one and ver.3 is double jointed version. Ver.1 is also double-jointed but obviously has another shape.

I'm currently waiting for a Delia I ordered with the v2 body, and now I'm a bit worried about how I'll feel for her posing;; I suppose I won't truly find out until she arrives home. Does anyone know if Myou is able to sell their MSD bodies only, with no head? I might consider getting an extra body for her, if not do some minor body mods somehow. Otherwise I'll prolly make a future purchase for a Michelle in the V1 body instead, n have both that way, haha

 

They do sell bodies only! Here is the Version 1 body and Version 3 that you can buy from ACBJD. Of course, the price goes all into the body.

I got my Teresa today! I love her outfit, faceup is gorgeous, but her wig didn't fit!! Thankfully my MNF has a wig in similar color that does, but I was bummed.

 

Congratulations on receiving Teresa! When I got my fullset Michelle her wig was a bit oversized, too, and kinda thin. I wonder if it's a common issue with their wigs?

Hey does anyone have Myou doll in white skin? I'm curious about how that one yellows, is it one of those that turns into butter or lemon yellow after few years or does it stay relatively same-ish color?

 

My Myou Matcha is white skin. In my experience her resin has behaved much like Fairyland (Fairyland and Myou white resin are a decent match if anyone was wondering) There is a slight mellowing. Her resin is a little more ivory looking than the white I remember when I received her. Nothing near butter or lemon like. It's a beautiful color. I've had her for 4+ years and I keep her out of direct sunlight.

 

Does anyone have an MSD Myou Delia? I've looked at her sculpt on Instagram and the official website and I think she's beautiful. If possible, I'd like to see her with the company faceup. Also, what are the wait times like from this company? IDK if I'm still an amateur at using this forum, but I can't find the waiting thread for this company.

Haha, every time I think I've narrowed it down to a doll sculpt I like the most, I find another company that also makes beautiful dolls.

The current waiting time of most MYOU doll orders is about 3 to 5 months (they send whichever orders that are ready first instead of order sequence) ^^.

I do! I got her pretty recently just this past month. I waited for her making time at 3 months (as Myou told me since I ordered from them directly), and waited 1 more month for her actual delivery. So a 3-5 month long wait is pretty accurate in my singular experience, haha. I believe fullsets take much longer to ship compared to a blank or nude doll.

I posted a pic of her up in the waiting room that Koma linked, and I can definitely say that she's very pretty. Much softer-looking in person, which I'm more than happy with. I didn't get a clearer shot of her face-up, admittedly, but if you'd like I can try to take some closer photos of it to show you, if you're interested?

Does anyone have the v2 girl body? Doll Parts, MYOU Doll - BJD, BJD Doll, Ball Jointed Dolls - Alice's Collections I'm super curious about its posing abilities, and am considering it for a hybrid. I have the male v3 and love it, but I know the joints are a bit different.

 

It has ball joints and honestly it's by far the worst body I own as far as posing goes (well it and their big baby body which has the same kind of joints). I hot glue sueded mine which made it a little bit better to handle and less likely to just collapse suddenly but that doesn't add range to its posing capability, just makes it slightly sturdier and better at actually holding the pose for example; she can't touch her own her face unless you hold the hand yourself and force it and that's the bare minimum I expect from a doll body.

I had seen people comment that is not very good poser but thought that people simply exaggerate and that "it can't really be that bad since it's such a lovely body" but after receiving mine and hating every second I have tried posing it - or hell, even tried making it stand on its own - I just have to agree; it's a gorgeous body the shape of it is so lovely, but it's not good at posing and if that's what you mainly want then choose another body. I can't bond with my Zuzana because every time I pick her up it just turns into "oh yeah, I hate your stupid body" kind of moment.

I wish they'd make version 2 of it with better joints since that would then be the ultimate body but I guess that's just not happening. I'll probably end up just selling my Zuzana since the body made me kind of hate her. :/

 

@digi OOF THANK YOU. I really really appreciate your review!! I'm definitely going to avoid it now! It's gorgeous, but the nightmare of (the lack of) posing it is just so not worth it.
I love my male v3 so I'll just go for the female version. I wanted her less lanky but the posing is waaaaay more important to me. Part of me wants to ask if they could just put the limbs from the v3 on the v2 but I can almost guarantee that it wouldn't be allowed.

I'm so excited that Myou released v2 of their second body Just wish it had been available about a year ago when I bought my Zuzana. Now wondering if it would be easier to sell just the old body or the whole doll since the body really made me dislike her and we haven't been bonding at all, on the other hand if I just got her the new body that might solve the problem for me...

They also released new doll called Macarena, she looks cute but I already know isn't for me. Her full set is absolutely gorgeous though!

 

@digi Indeed, I held off buying the v2 body because I really really like it (but was not a fan of the joint system), hoping they would improve the body. And they delivered!
Maybe next year after the holidays I will order the new body, I'm so happy!

Does anyone know if any of myou doll's skintones are compatibles with Fairyland's normal skin? I've seen hybrids for white skin and tan, but nothing in normal...

I tried the minifee Honoka head I bought on my normal Myou body when I got her earlier this week and the head is much pinker to my eye, the normal pink would probably be better match to it. I'd take a picture but my Honoka-head is currently wrapped in plastic as I'm working on her wig.
