@digi A lot of companies will customize the faceup a little if you ask them to. Maybe you could get her but with her faceup edited a little?

Hi all, does anybody received Michelle?

 

I assume Myou probably wouldn't be down for it, but has anyone bought a doll from Myou and was able to ask them to exchange a part with another doll? I've been thinking of getting the v2 girl body, but I'd love for her to have double jointed arms, so getting the arms from the v1 or v3 body might be a possibility there... I think the legs would be a no-go but from the photos, the arms look very similar sized.

I love the shape of the body but if I have to deal with single joints, I'd rather the single joint be in the legs than the arms. ^^; But I also don't love the body enough to buy two doll bodies to switch parts around.

 

FYI, I just got my version 2 body for my DIM Luria head. The head-neck fit is perfect. The pink resin is a lot more intense than my DIM, which is pink but very pale. A whiteskin might have been a better match. I need to dye a couple of other dolls anyway (why must you do this to me, Luts?) so I may just dye Luria's head to match.

@DollInk Please post photos of your Michele when she arrives. She really is pretty in company photos. What skin color did you order?

Anyone out there have Myou tan resin? I am curious if it has a pink, yellow, or orange hue or tone? Hope that makes sense.

Hi, as promised, I post my Michelle, for information I waited 3,5 months for a fullest doll which is quite reasonable, the package took 10 days from China to France to arrive. She is pink skin, the faceup is beautiful even if it has a little shine but nearly invisible. I'm just disappointed because the legs joints are kinky (3rd body type) and the eyes and wig are too big for my taste so I changed them

I was wondering; I saw few of Myou's boy heads swapped to have the girl body but does the opposite work too or is the boy body's neck too big for that?

 

Joining this thread because I ordered a blank Delia from Alice's Collections. It'll be my first time buying a doll that hasn't been pre-owned, so I'm very excited. I already have the cutest little wig and shoes for her...

My profile picture is a snow-skinned Delia from a collab with Dolk last fall. ... She's definitely one of my favorites! I encourage you play with photographing her if you're into that - she is very expressive in different ways from different angles!

 

Oh my gosh, you've got a Snow Delia! I saw the 2020 one in November/December with the white hair and gentle smile and she's so pretty, oh my god...

I got Delia because she's happy! I feel like I see too many dolls that are either doing or :\ lol.

 

I lean heavily towards "happy" dolls as well & look for them in particular. Don't worry, once you start getting familiar with all the companies, there's actually a lot more smiling or happy dolls than it might seem initially.

One thing I also realized once I started doing face-ups, is that there are a lot of sculpts that simply need a tiny uptick at the side of the mouth to suggest a smile, and the expression becomes immediately positive. ... it's such a wonderful hobby!

But yeah... to address Snow Delia, because I must... having her actually brings a little tear to my eye to think about. The pictures I've taken of her do her no justice. She is such a special girl. Can't wait for you to get your Delia. You're going to absolutely adore her!

 

Hello! Joining this thread as I got my Myou Michelle a few weeks ago. I love her so much I'm considering getting another Myou, but I'm not sure if I like Ailsa or Chasel more. Does anyone have any owner pictures of Ailsa or Chasel?

 

I would love to see photos also. I would like a Chasel or Carr. I've found a couple actual images on-line but not many. I'm wondering what the coffee resin looks like.

 

@digi I cannot remember for the life of me the insta account name, but I know someone had a Bohe on a boy's body and it worked fine

 

Thanks for the heads up! I'd imagine it works fine but ended up ordering Zuzana with the type 2 girl body after all, it's just so aesthetically pleasing to my eye. I might buy the boy body separately later and hybrid it with Luts winter event head instead since I really like that body too + I can always plop Zuzana's head on that later instead if I decide she's a boy after all.

 

Hello! Jumping in this thread to please ask for Michelle spam! ViperOrchid, what do you think of her? I am thinking of ordering her myself to join her sisters Zuzana and Martha. Every time Myou comes out with a new mini girl, my wallet cringes in fear... they are all so lovely! I missed out on Snow Delia do spam her too, please, I love how she sparkles.

 

Hi there! I can certainly share some photos of Michelle, Sylphide. I love Michelle's sculpt, face-up, and outfit. My only complaints are that her wig is rather frizzy or stringy, and the girl body 3 doesn't seem to sit up on its own too well, so at some point I'm going to try to suede her.

Love your girl, ViperOrchid! She is so pretty and I love her dress. I actually did order an in stock Michelle from Junky Spot. I love her, but her faceup is waaay too heavy on the blush... I may wipe it snd give her a new one. I also have Martha and Gina, and their faceups are just perfect.

Also, I think wait times are pretty good right now (if I'm remembering correctly they're around 3-5 months, but I don't remember where I got that statistic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) so hopefully she arrives quickly and safely!

I have this exact hybrid, except my head is a Luria. The short answer is, the color match is about 80%. MYou pink skin is darker and more intense than the DIM resin. However, the head fits great, even better than my Loongsoul hybrid, and I didn't have to adjust the strings or anything. In my opinion, it will be easy to blush the head to match. An older Myou body might even mellow to a really good match.

She's my biggest msd and she doesn't fit any of my other girls' clothes. But I sew for them for fun, so that doesn't bother me at all.

Myou-Doll has new gorgeous girl listed on their site: Teresa. She has such a good aesthetic going on, black and red always look so good together

 

I said I wouldn't be getting any new dolls but then they showed this one and my wallet screamed.

 

my michelle arrived today! her name is lady Penelope and she's my first MSD ,when i first opened her i was a bit worried i wouldn't like her because her unpainted mouth was well not exactly attractive lol however once i painted her up she turned out just as cute as i was hoping for,
she's on the ver.2 body and she doesn't pose that great she stands surprisingly well

The new doll is so cute! I can't wait for owner pics. I would want to buy her myself but I have to hold back the urge lol.

Also I have a Delia with a myou faceup but I think I'm gonna try my own for her. I haven't bonded as well with her, but I think I wanna make her more "mature" looking than the default faceup shes got.

 

does anyone know if Teresa will be available on MYOU dealer sites like Alice's Collections? I find the MYOU site harder to navigate and order from, so I'm hoping I can order her from AC if/when she is availavle there. Also, I assume Teresa will be available in all the same resin colours as the other 45cm dolls, at least I hope so because I would live to see her in tan

Hi Catopolis, my doll took about 4 months total to be made and shipped to me. But I got a full set, so if you ordered Martha blank it might be sooner!

 

Hi, I got her with a face up but no body blushing or clothes so maybe that will speed it up? Fingers crossed anyway.

 

If you email AC, they'll probably be able to order her for you. I'm sure they just haven't updated their website yet.

I am so excited for both the Sakura releases. I really love the face up artists that were chosen. I think the pinks really lift up the sculpts. The MYOU default face up on Delia was a little bit darker on the lips than I like.

 

I ordered a Myou Martha with faceup from ACBJD late last year, and it took them all of 4 months to ship :/ Just the doll with faceup only.

 

Did anyone see the new 1/4 boy, Basil? He looks so adorable and almost seems like he could be Michelle's brother with the cat ears!
