Company website: BJD MYOU DOLL Measurements: -Eyes : 14mm -Height: 44cm -Head Circumference : 18cm -Neck: 7cm -Shoulder Width: 8.5cm -Chest: Small-18.5cm, Large-20cm -Waist: 14cm -Hips: 18.5cm -Thigh Circumference: 10.5cm -Leg Length: 22cm -Foot Length: 5.5cm -Foot Width: 2.1cm Since MYou is a new company, I thought a short body review of their 1/4 girl body would be helpful. I received the MYou 1/4 blank ws Ailsa with the three-part torso and normal breast size and an NS 1/3 girl body today, after about a month. I didn't order her directly from the company but from a rep. They were both packed together in one box, neatly tucked into plush bags and head, legs and arms wrapped in bubble wrap. Both came with random glass eyes and a face mask, identity cards and basic underwear. The second box was in the package, but folded flat. Since the dolls are quite affordable: the quality is much better than I would have expected. They are less defined than Iples (ears, hands, nostrils e.g), but all seams are sanded, the insides look good, and they stand well and hold poses well as far as I can tell. She's neither floppy nor do bodyparts snap into unwanted positions. Her feet joints might need sueding once she's older, but for now they hold the position you put them in, although you can turn them backwards and nearly to a tip toe position. The head/headplate is the usual s-hook/magnet combination. Hands and feet are on s-hooks as well (the very narrow type, I might add). Since elbows and knees are double-jointed and she has additional mobility joints in her tighs and a hip joint, her range of motion is exceptional, she's quite the poser. Her head doesn't bend backwards very far, but you can move it rather far to the sides and forward. The body is well proportioned, the breast looks natural and as far as I can tell she's a decent piece of doll engineering. Added: good body Resin matches normal skin: DIM normal and Zaoll normal is nearly perfect. Please add more info if you tried the bodies with other heads. She does have a nice profile, doesn't she? As for shoes and clothing: I tried my Iplehouse JID-girl shoes, they fit. She has rather narrow feet, so I guess she can wear Minifee/JID shoes and similar sizes. Since I just have Iples I can't really tell if the regular msd-clothes fit, but I hazard a guess they do.
Thanks for sharing this review! I am new to BJD and Ailsa caught my eye as well...and it's great to know a little more about the body Edit: this may or may not be the first doll I purchase...
Whoa, that's some serious posing! I've been wanting a new body for my MysticKids girl; this one might just be what I've been looking for . Thanks for the great review!
Q: I am wonderin' how white is your doll? Is it semicircular to Soom new white or like more creamy white?
@Tehkiwi106 I am sorry to reply that late, I wasn't watching the thread, so I didn't get a notification. I don't have Sooms, so I can't tell, but it's pretty much like miracle wip. The second picture shows her sitting on a box of white paper.
