This is my first attempt at making a bjd. I had a little free time, and some super sculpey left over from my mom's Christmas prezzie (a mini clay baby), so why not try to fashion a cute little tiny. She'll be approx. 11.5 cm. The knees and elbows are probably what I'm most displeased with; I didn't sculpt them to look like they have a separate ball for the joint like the larger bjds do. I'm going to gesso over it before I string it all together (I did do a test stringing of an arm and leg, separately, but no pics of that). I'll probably have to bevel the eye holes a bit more, too. Oh, and the ears still have to be attached... On to the pictures! Isn't she sweet?! With a quarter so you can see how small Messy table in teh background with my sister's bobobie erin (14 cm) Flash! They'll be so cute together when she's finished! In case you didn't notice, she doesn't have toes... her feet are kind of flipper shaped, but that's on purpose! She's an asrai, a kind of small water fairy with webbed feet. Hmmm, she needs a name...
How about Mei....or Aqua or maybe Eden or maybe Sprite! I can't wait to see her finished! Coming along great! ^_^
Well, while I was waiting for the thread to be approved... she stands! My sister had a little dress that's the perfect size No, the dress doesn't go in the water!!! (No, there's not really water in that glass) Sorry for the flash, but otherwise her eyes looked really dark Last one... I think I'll call her Evreilia (ev-RAY-lee-uh). It would be great if I could give casting a go, but looking into prices, I could probably get an adorable little Lati white for less trouble.
She is really cute ! That wig suit her well. Did you do it yourself ? (what mold is your other girl ?)
Thanks! Yeah, I did the wig myself; it's unravelled yarn that I stitched together. I don't have any other female bjds, so I'm not sure which dolly you're referring to. Guess I'll just have to identify all the other dollies in the pictures (oh noes, I have an excuse to ramble!) . The other tiny girl in the first post is my sister's Bobobie Erin, the OT girl in the red skirt is a Madame Alexander doll (Swiss or Swedish, can't remember), and Kaesu (in black and white) is a male Bobobie Sprite.
