aaaa so my poor geoff keras is on hold. the sculpeyIII i was using to make him with turned out to be evil and dastardly, and went to bits and i threw it out. so there. i still have his head... but his ear has broken off. blast sculpey to hades! ANYWAY so then i decided to use the wonderful and lovely premiere clay that i purchased for my birthday. back in september. i have been busy for a while, don't look at me like that. for the longest time, i'd say since perhaps 2003, i have wanted to make a doll out of my good friend's marvelous comic book character, serenity rose. i just love this girl. and i thought... "HOW MARVELOUS would it be if i could have a fantastic doll of her? that i could perhaps also cast in resin, so as i could send a copy to my friend?!" (y'see, way back in olden times, he asked me to make him a ragdoll of sera... and i NEARLY finished her. but... i didn't. and then i left the unfinished ragdoll in ireland. MAAAAN.) so so so then i started making this doll. she will be 46 cm tall. she is a very short character. i am not very far along with her as yet... but i have only just ordered some tools and supplies to make her with. she is slow coming, but she is coming along... have a few pictures! oh.. sorry. this is my cat, lil carl. he was helping. i was SO PROUD of her little nose... until i noticed that it was completely off-center. so i shaved it off, and sanded her... i still have some sanding and then carving to do, and then must replace her nose. i will make it so much better! i have also dremeled her eyes, so they match the drawing i did, and i have made the back of her faceplate better... then i will make a good head back. yuss. i can do this. i belieeeeve.
