My little troll

    1. Well... "Little troll" is her codename but... she will be over 60cm tall and her resemblance to trolls is very small :D She's my third attempt on a ball jointed doll and the one I will definitiely finish. I'm so far with the work that it would be a waste not to finish her, especially that I'm so in love with her. She's by no means symetric but she has this beauty that I like and that captures my way of drawing (which was my original idea).

      Bear in mind that I had no access to a bjd when I was sculpting the little troll, so when I had a problem with the face or body I just solved it with what I thought was the best option :D

      She still needs some heavy sanding~ I can see so many things in her I could fix but I love every single part of her so I probably won't :) Maybe later when I decide to cast her finally, but that will be in no less than a year.

    3. She looks great! Absolutely adorable! Simplicity is sometimes very nice. :) But please be very careful with her ears! They look like they could break easily, and that would be very sad since they are such a pretty shape. :(

      It looks to me like you will have to widen the holes for her legs a little bit so that she can move them well.

    5. She's so pretty so far! I love her ears, her face, and her bust! Please, if you do cast her, don't change her bust! It's not perfectly symmetrical, with one side a little larger than the other, and I LOVE it that way...

    8. Awwwe, I have to say, she's just ADORABLE! She's so unique, and I like that about her! She's definitely a doll that, when you cast her, I'd love to save up the money to get one of my own! :) Her body shape is so different from what you see, and I love that about her! Sometimes having your own style in things can make a world of difference! hehehe

      And as a side note, I just looooove how she's nuzzling your hand where you're holding her in the first image! d'awwwwwe, she just looks sooooo cute there! :XD: it's obvious she loves her momma very much! hehehehehe

      I was afraid at first as well, but the clay I'm using (FIMO) made them more "substantial" than I expected ;P Ears weren't part of the plan... they kinda popped up :sweat

      I'm absolutely happy with how she looks, even if she's not symetrical :) The plan was symetrical, but I kinda adjusted on the way And I love her looks so much that what's done won't be changed prolly :)

      So nice of you to say so :) Made me feel so much motivation actually! Well she definitiely won't be sold, she's too imperfect for that... I adjusted the build as I went on and I would do things much different now. But making bjds for other people is my biggest dream so who knows~

      This is my third attempt where two before failed miserably. When I started working on her I was sure I will never get a bjd on my own (only thanks to my bf I'll be able to have one) so this was supposed to (and still is) my dearest first child. By all means start your own doll!! Just a tip... start with something smaller... 60cm dolls are frustrating :D

      I have a soft spot for ears too :D I was sculpting normal ones for her actually, but then I started playing with clay and THIS kinda happened <3

    17. OMG! Indeed >< Who is she? She looks so similar!

      Unfotunately the doll had to be put on hiatus for a while. I came back to my own house from vacation and she had to stay in Holland due to too much luggage ;.; I will pick her up in december along with additional FIMO pack to finish her :3
