50–65cm Dolls My First Preorder - Dream Valley Vine

After a shorter than expected wait of 5 months, I've received my first preordered doll! I have two other dolls currently, one of which was preowned (Dollzone Lola) that I've had for years, and the other was an in-stock doll (Myou Carr) purchased shortly after I put down a preorder on this fella. Without further ado, let's get into the pictures! (Apologies for most of them being taken in portrait and not landscape!)



Inside of the box there was only a little layer of goodies (clothes, wigs, and shoes) that I bought for both my new boy and my oldest girl, Luna (Dollzone Lola), standing between me and my doll.



My messy workspace (also known as the kitchen table) has become a lot messier!



Time to free him from his bubble prison~



He's so gorgeous!! I love his body blushing and little painted nails! He definitely feels tightly strung, as I'd heard most Dream Valley dolls do, but not so much that I'm afraid of him breaking, I think. Maybe I'm just too inexperienced to tell?



His eye size is listed as 14mm, but the eyes I ordered for him didn't really fit well, due to their high dome. In the meantime, I popped in some eyes I got for Maho (Myou Carr) that didn't end up fitting him. They work better due to their flatter dome, but I think I'll look into some 12mm eyes regardless. The inside of his head was a bit hard to maneuver the eyes around in, as well



After his eyes were in, I put on his pants, sweater, and wig! The sweater was the most nerve-wracking thing to put on him, because I was really worried the turtleneck would squish his eyelashes. Luckily it didn't! The pants fit nicely, but as expected are more cropped on him than intended (At 51cm he's a very tall mini!). I don't mind, though. It gives me an excuse to get him some cute socks~



Last but not least were his shoes and coat! The coat is 1/3 size, but it works nicely on him with the sleeves rolled up a tad. Looks very cozy!



Here are some shots of him with the rest of the gang! Luna (right) is sporting a new wig and shoes, while Maho (left) is wondering why he didn't get any goodies this time around.




I've decided to name the newest addition to the crew Dima, short for Dimitri, because I think it suits his cute appearance and I've just always liked that name. I'm going to try doing a proper little photo shoot tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have more to share soon.

I'll have to look into different sizes when I get more clothes for him- I got lucky that everything fit as well as it does, haha
