This is my 3rd or 4th attempt at making a head.. still needs work...but what do you guys think? http://www.anglcon.com/mimari/olivia.jpg
One of the things I see is the need to be smoothed. If it's sculpy, I'm making a head out of that, and it's a bigggggg pain to sand, I know. What I did was added more clay over to smooth with my fingers, and it was much easier. The chin in the 3quater veiw is a little ...er...lumpy too. I don't know if that was intentional... The eyes are SO precious, it looks like she could wink or raise an eyebrow anymoment and the nose is adorable.
Awww! So cute! :3 I agree with Tatsukitty, just needs a little smoothing. :3 I use a 150 grit sand paper and sand in circles until the cheeks and forehead are smoothed, then I work up in grit from there till I'm at 600 grit. Then I spray it with sandable primer, which fills in any small scratches that appear on the surface. :3
Wow!!! so cute. looking good with that eyes sorry for no advice, your doll head is very pretty. (I'm newbie\\^0^// just try my first hanemade bjd too.)
the eyes are well done. I really like the frontal view of this head. as for sanding. I agree with batchix has said. just make sure the primer is sandable.
