Oct 30, 2020

    1. My first faceup. There is poster putty holding her head on the marker, and the marker is in a ceramic toothbrush stand.

    2. Lovely! Especially seeing the doll all put together, you did an amazing job! :3nodding: And the fact that you made the wig too is pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing!:dance

    6. Thank you! I'm glad it turned out well too. I have experience drawing/coloring on flat surfaces since I was single-digits years old. Drawing on something three-dimensional was different. Having an eraser handy helped a lot. As did watching experienced face-up artist's videos on YouTube.

    7. Ah yeah, the ability to erase and redo is a big help! I too am like you in that I've always done drawing and painting on flat surfaces... in anticipation for my BJDs arrival, I bought a box of barbies with inserted eyes (a style I just learned existed!) from Ebay to try to teach myself how to paint "even" features on the faces! I'm really impressed that you jumped straight to the 3D surface and ended up with it so well. Having tutorials out there is so helpful.

    8. Yes! With the eraser and the sealant layers it's like real life "Ctrl-z" undo and I love it. :D It's magical!
And, respect to the people who can do art and take video at the same time for sharing their wisdom. :3nodding:

May your pastels and pencils be even, your respiratory protection guard your lungs, and your paint flow only where you want it too.
